Not Malaysian either, but that is correct. I get -30% also.

Finally, no more Agency-Skrill (-5.50euro on every withdraw to Payoneer)-Payoneer, for Shutterstock at least.

I swapped from Skrill to Payoneer when Skrill killed card for my country (Serbia). Now i have $ and euro Payoneer cards with no need for cash withdraw, i just use the cards.
never until now made withdrawal, but i think it is around 2-4 euro no matter how much you take (ATM).

For me it is great and i highly recommend it.

As far as i see it, SS is just pinging you to see whether you will remove images or not. Nowhere it says they will ban your account if you do not remove images, nor that it is obligatory for you to do so.

I think that, you have full right to use those images as far as you have a copy of signed Model Release. She is probably threatening to sue SS, and they want to resolve that issue as easier as it can be.

If it ever comes to court between her and SS, and maybe you too: If what you say about that shooting is right (i have no reason to think otherwise) then you have numerous of evidence and witnesses that this person agreed, received money for this, and signed Model Release form for this images with her on them to be sold on SS or whatever agency.

If i was in this situation, and have all the documents, surely i wouldn't agree to delete those photos i paid production for.

Yep, that 30% tax is totally not cool, and i have it on all sites for clips sales in America.

This VB Enterprise sounds nice, lets see how it will develop.

>:( >:( >:( SKRILL does not let people withdraw their USD to bank accounts.
They convert to EUR with their exorbitant currency rate then let you to withdraw to the bank account.
PLEASE SHUTTERSTOCK EITHER PAY OUR ROYALTIES IN EURO OR LET US USE PAYONEER!..
Good news from Jon Oringer. I hope it won't take long.

Yep, like i signed up at fotolia, and automatically got redirected to US portal, and now i get paid is US instead in EUR, and i live in EUR... crappy scam.

DaVinci Resolve.  You won't believe it's free.

Agree.

It i not the best solution for editing a video, but for basic clip cutting/trimming will do the job. Tho editing is not its best side, this program is used professionally for color grading videos/clips. You can use tracking, and everything you need for stock footage. And it is completely free! :)  And there is a ton of tutorials on yt.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Uploading video on SS not working
« on: October 05, 2016, 06:33 »
Same happened to me few days ago, i uploaded batch of 11 clips, and 4 of those were stuck for the same reason as yours. I waited 2 days, nothing happened so i sent inquiry to support and next day all 4 clips were in pending approval section. Yesterday on of those 4 clips again fell to image not available, just to see it again in pending approval today...  :o

I was thinking to start similar topic.

Few days ago i uploaded some Italian vineyard aerial shots, and two sunset shots i was almost sure they will reject (due to noise-grain issue) actually got accepted, but three other during the day got rejected due to "Noise / Artifacts / Pixelation -- Clip contains excessive noise, compression artifacts, pixelation a" reason. I find this very interesting... Ill post here those clips but from Fotolia, they all got accepted on all 6 agencies i upload to.

Accepted shots:
1
2

Rejected ones:
1 - marked this one as editorial
2

Is there a way to resubmit somehow, or i have to upload again on SS?

Pond5 / Re: Minimum prices at Pond5
« on: October 04, 2016, 07:16 »
I got the email too. I made some of my videos $10 so they probably want more profit ... Not sure if it will hurt my sales though...

Why do you set clip prices so low? I think by setting too low might hurt your sales more than raising prices.

Can we see those 10$ clips :)

Even my 120 clips there is not a big number they looked kinda slow to me. As SpaceStock, few months ago i also noticed that same clips are for about one week on just sold page...

Thank you guys, wont waste my time there...

What is your  experience with ClipCanvas agency?
I have around 120 clips there and no sales at all. And i actually stopped uploading there due to their 750MB file size limit. I export everything in photojpeg, most of my footage now is 4K, so my files are 1-3GB in size...

It always looked so-so to me.I would like to hear some experiences if possible :)

90
Yeah, because it is better not to sell than it is to perhaps sell something :)

This does not apply to contributors like Mantis who pulled their content. If they gave me 30% on my clips only because i have them elsewhere... i would pull back everything also for sure.

91
Thanks.

I know my portfolio isn't really the best, but come on, as you posted those two links, there are some crazy videos on Dissolve...

I don't care about them, currently i am on 6 agencies, and lately uploading 99% 4K aerial and ground video. It takes A LOT of time to upload with 3Mbits... :) One more agency would be overkill right now.

92
I have applied in the first week of May, and almost forgot about it. Few days ago (end of September) i received e-mail that my portfolio is not good enough for dissolve...

Thanks   :D

And again, man, it is you, and i completely understand your concept of spare time, mine is the same. But there are a lot of people on this planet, and not all of us think the same way :)

94
Hi people, i know this is old and unanswered topic but, can someone please tell me why is there such a difference in exporting photojpeg vs h264. I use Premiere Pro CC, video is slightly color corrected. It is the same clip, after rendering nothing is touched, just exported in two different ways. I added two print screens below so you can see the difference. There is a very noticeable shift in contrast, even in sharpness i would say.

Photojpeg settings:
  • Quality at 90, Max render and depth quality
H.264 settings:
  • Profile-High
  • Level-5.1
  • VBR,2 pass
  • Max render quality and depth
  • Target Bitrate 70/ Max 101

- PHOTOJPEG
- H.264
 or
Folder

Any help/suggestion is much appreciated.

Sure, there is attracting more contributors possibility. But isn't general promoting stock footage attracting more stock contributors also? The way i see it, you wouldn't go on Instagram to look for stock footage, but other people might. And i'm not saying here Instagram should be used for stock footage search, i'm saying it is not bad to be present all around. Who knows what producer or editor is scrolling Instagram in their free time and who knows what photo or video can catch his/hers eye.

96
I am not sure what rule is there for images :) But i just write what . i want for my clips-clip detail oriented ofc :)

97
Off topic: What is the review time on SS for footage? I uploaded my first clips and I don't know if did everything good, there are some special tricks for footage uploads?

Well it was a week+, then they changed it to 24hrs, and now it seem to be one week again.
If you upload editorial there is a special way to Caption your video, otherwise they will reject it.

This one sold 3 times, it has a bit of a wb issue, tho. It was uploaded on 16.10.2015.
Today i will fix it and ad a second angle from same series, and see how it will go in the future.

Interesting subject. Without giving it too much thinking i actually started promoting my clips on Instagram. Very little though, and only if i have some very interesting (to me) to show.  As for the links, i do not make link for each individual clip because i can not-they dont show, but rather on my profile page have link to my website, which is only one page with links to stock agencies, for now.

It doesnt take much time to cut out something nice and and upload it on Instagram. Everybody is scrolling their screens these days, and you never know who can see and like/need that exact clip, and explore your portfolio furthermore.

Its a small investment, time-wise, but in my opinion can return in sales.

What size are your portfolios? I know it is the content that sells...
