In my opinion no matter how good the camera is you will never obtain an even exposure in bright sunlight because the sensor it is going to expose either for the bright areas in wich case your subject will be dark or if it will expose for the subject then the bright areas will be blown out. You have many options to tweak your lighting with reflectors nd filters and so on but you will not find a camera that can expose perfectly for sky and subject all at the same time and for that reasons the filters and reflectors were invented. or I might not understood your question...I generaly shoot with a dslr with neutral image setings and then tweak the footage in post

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe stock review question
« on: December 12, 2016, 07:05 »
still no sign of approval  :D....my 4 images (leftovers from a batch) ar still pending although i uploaded a single image 2 days ago and it got reviewed and accepted in 1 day....I know its buysy this time but I was just curious about the review sistem. How does the reviewer manage the image review ? is it a single person that is choosing a batch of photos and when he is tiered or leaving from work or on holiday the batch that he did not finished reviewing remains in his reviewer account ? I am just trying to understand and I am not blaming anyone  ???

When the time comes, they will be reviewed.
Don't worry. Their time will come. Relax. Go out for a walk. Drink a cup of tea.
Reviewers are also people and need to rest. Unless they are bots, as at some agencies.

I guess I am thinking to much about it and also having so so many issues and bugs with shutterstock images dissapearing even though they were sold a few times makes me think about bugs  :P

Adobe Stock / Adobe stock review question
« on: December 10, 2016, 03:47 »
Hi guys,
I recently started uploading to adobe stock and I try to understand how the review process works. I have uploaded a batch of 14 images ( christmas related ) and only two of them were reviewed and approved but the other 12 remained pending.
Is this a glitch or a bug in the sistem ? Isnt the reviewer checking the entire batch of photos ?...a few days ago I had another batch with a similar amount of photos and they all got approved except one that remained on pending for several days...Is this normal or is it a glitch ?

I`m sorry if I seemed suspicious but the thing is that all this forum reading about how tiered people are and about how sales are so bad its kind of discouraging for a noob :( ...I mean the thought of starting producing now its just frightening considering everybody is saying that the market will go down or the sales are bad and so on. I dont find to many optimistic treads an maybe that is why I felt the need to express my fear here.  :(

Why those people should encourage you in any way? Competitor is a villain who is pursuing the same goal :)

good point :)  I will just follow my path and see what happens. At least I am doing something I love and I hope I will never burn out !

I am a noob and i am trying to get into stock and I dont understand what its happening. I see people complain about revenue and that they stopped producing years ago and my question is why are they still here wasting time on this forums ? I dont mean to be rude but something does not sound right to me :)....

« on: November 16, 2016, 12:28 »
Hello everyone,
I recently uploaded 5 clips on shutterstock and the big mystery ( for me ) is that i did not receive any mail regarding the approval although the clips now appear to be online here: http://www.shutterstock.com/video/gallery/2289704/

Is there a glitch in the sistem or am I doing something wrong here ?

Do video clips apear in the catalog manager so i can create sets ?

I think I might be the victim of the microstock photography trend  :P . I was just trying to mimic what I saw in the search result ( for example : search by newest : pasta ) and I was hit with series of 30-50 photos...so I guessed this was the right aproach...I hope I will not be considered a spammer and have my account banned  :(

hi Dodie, you might be right but the thing is i uploaded 50 photos on the same collection with the theme pasta raw and they have accepted the large majority ( I made a project titled pasta raw and shot around 100 images then i selected the best 50 img. ). I have resubmit and I am still waiting for the review  to see what happens. I`ll keep you up to date. thank you all for trying to help !!!

thank you Irina, I will try to submit the images again and see what happens. I think they were bored with the review of the 50 img. batch and maybe that was the reason  :)
thanks for the quick reply and for your help. I love your slow mo videos  8)

Newbie Discussion / similar images
« on: November 13, 2016, 12:45 »
Hello everyone,

I am a newbie in stock photography and I am realy curious if you can help me with the problem I have on Adobe stock regarding similar images  :(

how are these images similar...I understand that the background is the same but the product is different and what makes me wonder is why do they reject both of them because of similarity ?
