That graph seems to match what we're seeing in the poll results on the right side of this page.
Remember a few months ago when Adobe briefly passed Shutterstock and seemed to be the emerging champion? then it went into a fast nose dive.
I'm sorry about this, because I really appreciate how AS has responded to us contributors, but it's hard to deny the reality of your chart and the poll results here. Especially when I'm seeing the same thing.
Yes but its Matt responding not the Adobe Admin they could not careless! I have seen a huge drop myself.
I can assure you that is not the case. We have a global team dedicated solely to ensuring contributors are taken care of all around the world. It isn't just our team that keeps contributors top-of-mind however. The entire Adobe Stock team cares deeply for the artists that create the content that is Adobe Stock and are working every day to improve the customer experience, the contributor experience and ultimately to increase sales.
The feedback shared here, in the Adobe forum, the Adobe Stock contributor Discord channel and through all emails sent through the contact us form is taken very seriously.
Regarding the OP, it's difficult (impossible) to speculate what's going on in the graph without seeing the portfolio, understanding the productivity (how long has it been since the last upload) and whether the content being created and submitted is relevant to what stock buyers are searching for today. Now more than ever, I believe people are dependent on stock content. Businesses are not able to to set up custom shoots for their ad campaigns so some are buying stock that never have before. That being said, the type of content being sold is generally different now than what it was just a few short months ago. Covid-19 has clearly dominated the world. How can you get ahead of the next trend? Work to anticipate what the world will look like in two months. Last Thursday was the last weekly webinar hosted for contributors and we discussed that very thing. The main takeaway was that we anticipate in the very near future there will be a surge in demand for content that shows life as it was, but with a Covid-19 filter. This creates opportunity and content gaps for you to fill if you are motivated to do so.
Adobe Stock is continuing to grow. For contributors to take advantage of this growth you must continue to create relevant, high quality stock content that appeals to customers today and meets the needs of the upcoming trends. As any of us who have been around a long time know, stock today is not the same as it was before. You cannot continue to do the same thing you've always done and expect it to find the same success you found in the past. You must continue to evolve and grow as artists. I know first hand and personally, this can be a challenge. I sincerely believe if you are willing to put in the effort, it will be worth it.

First of all, I would like to say that I really appreciate the communication. This is one of the things that makes adobe stock so much better than SS, since not only the income what is count but also the relation. Second, I clearly understand what you have explained here. I know my content is relevant to specific people, many of which have been left without work because of the pandemic, and therefore is the change in my sales.

Once I was very inspired by the pond5 sales, but now its like 100-150$ a month. To go exclusive for that? Not even amusing. Seems that they don't invest into promotion anymore. My depositphotos account sold more video then pond5 this month

If pond5 works for you, then why not. For me pond5 went from 30+ downloads a month to 3-5 downloads at its best. And I have a port of nearly 18k videos, which makes a minimum of 50-60 sales a month on SS.

At SS my total downloads are about 85% the same as other months, but earnings went down by 70% because of the new price packs.

I am in a big doubt that your pricing on pond5 had any influence on the industry I don't know what is happening on your pond5 account, but my pond5 sells like 5-10 vid's a month at its best, it seems they have stopped invest in promotion long ago, and I can literally point when exactly it happened, about a year ago, when all the sales suddenly dropped by 80-90% in one day. At least this is the impression I have, maybe its different at your side

sorry guys, you are asking the wrong question here. my answer won't change anything for you specially that I don't have an answer yet. it needs time to understand how situation is changed and how to adjust to it, so the answer I already gave you is pretty much all I know for now

Well, honestly not that shocking, we all knew this is coming sooner or later. I didn't expect it this soon, but what to do I have been gradually selling most of my studio and travel video gear for the past few month and started to invest time and money in developing other fields. This is my answer. Today I have a portfolio of 17k videos, and my earnings are lower then what they have been when my portfolio was around 5k videos, so investing time in increasing amount and variety seems pointless over time. The future sales are going to drop no matter what. In most of the professions in normal terms your income grows together with your professional level, but with stock while you invest your time and money to become better as a pro, it seems the income keeps go down. I believe this is about time to learn and do new things.

I have already sold most of my equipment, and invested in another field. I have a port of over 17k videos, and in the past I had days with over 800$ sales. Now I am happy if this much sells in a week.

pond5 is dead for me for a long time. Sometimes it summons and gives a good month, but then dies back. In the past pond5 have been very good for me, it was selling the same amount as SS and sometimes even more, but then suddenly in one day everything dropped at about 80-90% about a year ago and since then never recovered.
Adobe always been low seller for me except this January which was surprisingly really good, with lots of 4k sales and then again everything stopped almost completely.
So far May is dry, but I never conclude a month before it ends. April also been very dry at the beginning, but then towards the middle I had some surprisingly good sales on SS
(yet, about 1k lower than my average for the past half year.)

The same with my friends account, who started selling content about 2 years ago. He have something like 500 videos in his portfolio, and his SS account is selling 300-400$ a month, pond5 around 250$, while his AS account haven't ever sold a single clip and it exists for over a year now.

Is this a lack of advertising? I am not a pro in the other side of how this business works, but I would say that the best investment in your contributors is to attract the clients.
You can message me your account Id and I can take a look into it. Why some people do better or worse on one site or another over a month or a year is always going to be a mystery. Generally, I think that most contributors are seeing growth from Adobe, though certainly not all.

I don't believe there is any issue with my account. My SS and AS accounts both have the same content. About 15k aerial videos and timelapses/hyperlapses from all around the world. But in 3+ years my AS account sold 2000$ overall, while my SS account is selling the same amount in an average month. Of course there are much worse stocks then AS, but I left those years ago. And AS just keeps me frustrated, I ask myself again and again, does it even worth keeping uploading to AS content, because I am waiting for a long time that AS will start kicking, and actually there was a small period that my AS account sold almost daily, but for some reason this stopped almost completely and again I am back to have a sale once a week or two, or even less. Can this be related with investing in promotion?

Everything I upload and is getting rejected, eventually gets approved from second or third time. All you need is patience. It seems that the reviewers just trying to earn their bread. Actually SS mention it in the FAQ now - if you aren't agreeing with a rejected content do not complain over it. Just resubmit. And eventually it will be approved. Its f&%d up but that's how the system works

That's the real industry problem..people tbat sell for pennies...i wonder if you sell the same clips on ss or adobe at 79/179$...
