do you use black mist filter (like tiffen black pro mist) for stock video?

do you find it improve or degrade quality?

Shutterstock.com / money disappear

after a bad month, under 100$ in January, another think go me crazy from shutterstock. Some money just disappear.
I set minimum payment 100$, so i didnt get pay in january, but now my unpaid earnings are for about 30$ less than yesterday....
someone with similar experience?

Cameras / Lenses / add bmpc 6k or sell 5div and buy r5?

I use 5DIV and have a lot of L lenses.
its ok for photo. But for stock video it is really nice to have 4k 60fps or more. Slow motion give a nice look to footage.

so i thinking about to buy Blackmagic pocket 6k an use it for video, (keeping my 5dIV for photo).
or
to sell 5dIV, and invest in new R5.
it has 4k 120fps it can make possible a lot of interesting stock footage and its great for photography.
(i know problem with overheating, but for stock maybe its not that big problem - i make a short clips).

or what i think also is to sell all my canon gear and buy compact fuji XT4. its smaller, lens are smaller, have IBIS, it can do 4k 60fps.

so what you suggest to me? its primary for stock footage and photo.

General Midstock / offset, image source, stoksy experience

i uploading on microstock ss, as, is, for a few years. and i know how microstock works.
now i want to start with some midstock agencies...but it is difficult to find someone experience about this agencies on forums like this is. Except for stoksy, i know few people who upload there, all other agencies are big enigma for me.

i was looking on what photos this agencies offer...and i like style on offset, i think i can do best there, but what i am interesting is how is earnings there, or what of this midstocks agencies are best to contribute?

I know that for a lot of microstock agencies is not worth to spend time and upload photo there, income is so low, is the same situation in the world of midstock agencies?

Photography Equipment / canon 5ds or 5d iv for stock photography?

At first i plan to buy 5div so i can do both footage and photo for stock, but in meanwhile i bought panasonic gh5 for footage and now i need camera for photo (i sell my 6d).

so are there benefits of 50mpx for stock? if it is i will go with canon 5ds, if resolution difference between 5ds and mark IV (30 vs 50 mpx) isnt so important for stock today a will definitive go with markIV because it is a little bit better camera.

I thinking to start to montage multi sequence video clips...so i am interested what is yours experience with selling this kind of footage.
and...if i submit footage of for example tree different sequence, can i also upload these tree sequence separately.

if i change my profile (display) name on shutterstock, pond, adobestock...would that have any impact on status of my account. i want to change name at all mickrostosks agency but first i want to know that will not have negative consequences on my sale....is it still be few year old account, or it will be seen like new?

I want to buy light for video. I Have Panasonic GH5. I have yongnuo 300led light...but want one more but with more power. So my first pick is Yongnuo 600led panel. And there are Godox 500 also...
What is your expirience Yongnuo or Godox LEd?

I have a large number of photos fron museums exhibits. Mainly it is ancient archaeological artefact, pottery, statue, figurines from ancient rome, egypt, greece.. It is famous object, world heritage...
So i planing to upload thats photos on shutter and istock.
Are this photo editorial or not?

hi everyone.
i have canon 6d and some nice lenses: 17-40L, 35L, 50L, 100macro, 200L
i am in photography business for a long period (10 years)....and start video recently. Now when i learn a lot about video recording and processing i thinking about to start to do stock video seriously.
so, my question is about camera. Is it better to upgrade to 5dIV and use all lenses i have, or to buy panasonic gh5. What is better camera for stock footage business.
