I know that's vague, but why do people keep uploading these and why do agencies keep accepting them? Remember the days of rejections for, "we have too many like this". Not these? And I ask WHY? 945,231 sliced tomato stock photos which is 36,371 new accepted since January 2022? I'll have to say, more and more of the new ones are just sliced tomato in the keywords, not the main subject. But the popular is still pretty much the same. Not the only subject that's common, ordinary, easy to find and shoot, but just the one I follow for entertainment. Never Used: but I just had to have at least one?

Looking for this and even the spammed up sites that require a extension added or most are just collections of old bad links. Which lead to Canon which leads to that page is not found.
eos20d203.exe
I have one old camera that's version 1. something and it works fine for Canon Utilitiy, 2.0.2 doesn't connect and askes for strange drivers or additional files.
Anyone have a copy of 2.0.3 firmware, for the EOS 20-D? Thanks
I'm on the road, remote right now and after an hour of banging my head against dead ends, I thought maybe someone has a copy? Yeah old cameras, for old projects.

https://www.classaction.org/news/instagram-embedding-on-third-party-sites-amounts-to-widespread-copyright-infringement-class-action-alleges#:~:text=A%20proposed%20class%20action%20alleges%20Instagram%20has%20encouraged%2C,enabling%20users%E2%80%99%20posts%20to%20be%20embedded%20on%20websites.A class action alleges Instagram has encouraged, induced and facilitated third parties to commit widespread copyright infringement through embeds on other websites. "Per the lawsuit, Instagram, from roughly July 2013 to June 2020, knew or recklessly disregarded the fact that no third party ever obtained a license or permission from the platform to embed a copyrighted photo or video, and was similarly aware of or ignored that no third party ever obtained a license or permission from the copyright owner each time the embed tool was used to display a copyrighted work. According to the complaint, Instagram has also regularly and systematically handled, controlled, made reference to and touched valuable copyrighted works with the intent and knowledge that third parties online were embedding those works without obtaining a license to do so. https://www.ipwatchdog.com/2021/12/12/warhol-foundation-tells-scotus-second-circuits-fair-use-ruling-threatens-sea-change-copyright-law/id=141022/#This creates questions about fair use and the latest ruling is the opposite. The Second Circuits ruling creates a conflict with the Ninth Circuit. What is Transformative? What is allowed as fair use. I wanted to quote one of the definitions that is interesting: the ability of [other] authors, artists, and the rest of us to express them- or ourselves by reference to the works of others. I don't see copying and coloring as a reference image as fair use? Just a note since we've seen this on some sites, Marilyn Monroe was domiciled in New York when she died, and therefore, no such posthumous right of publicity existed under NY law that could have been transferred to her heirs. However the right of the photographer or other artists are in full force, so MMs images, created by others, are NOT public domain. But anyone can create a new image of MM without worrying about the right to publicity or personal likeness. Then back to about... what would make a new image, fair use and transformative if someone uses an existing image as a "reference".

Looking for ideas and I know that some people do this and do well. I asked Annie after she mentioned promotion using social media. Anyone else with ideas that have worked, please join in? I created a pseudo account on FAA, the free kind that allows me to have 25 images. Now I'm selectively creating a topical collection and I want to promote it. I expect to create an identity to match for Twitter, FB and maybe Pinterest? The idea is market under that collection and see if I can create some interest? Does that cost money, or some investment besides time or posting to social media? I can't see spamming all my friends, who aren't image buyers, with "Here's my latest upload to FAA" or some Twitter announcement that's sent to everyone. Second account, and then how do I get the right kind of friends, the ones who buy things. I've used social media for free marketing before and plan to get back into it, possibly next month, and to answer Pete's questions above, this is what I've learnt:
Free Social Media Marketing: just requires 15 to 30 minutes a day on the big 4: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. But my recommendation is to just choose 2 at a time and build those up, otherwise it becomes just too time consuming, and your attention may get too scattered.
There are 2 ways you can do this. The first, the easy way, is just to increase click throughs and therefore views on your products, which will help with their search placement. I've had up to 40 views on a new FAA product from just doing this. I used to regularly get about 20 to 30 views on products listed on DesignBundles, which really helped with their search placement. Here you just need to regularly post links to your product/website/blog. I recommend that you do this for new listings/uploads especially, because lots of interest on a new product seems to really help with the algorithm. The second is to really go full-on to develop a dedicated audience. And that takes a lot more time and you need to understand how to use hashtags, or write interesting blog posts, create some lead magnets (freebies), or even go as far as developing an email marketing list.
I have separate business social media accounts to my personal ones. It just works much better that way, and yes, you are not then spamming family and friends. Its also best to keep your own political or social views out of your business account. You dont want to alienate anyone. I was starting to use my business Twitter for personal interests, and then decided to stop.
If youre starting out and dont know what to do, then just go on Pinterest and type in a search question for what you need to know. For example: how to get followers on Instagram?, and there should be hundreds of blog posts and quick tips. Some are just click-baits, and some actually have some good answers. For example:
https://www.pinterest.com.au/search/pins/?rs=ac&len=2&q=how%20to%20get%20followers%20on%20instagram&eq=how%20to%20get%20followers%20on%20ins&etslf=9447&term_meta[]=how%7Cautocomplete%7C0&term_meta[]=to%7Cautocomplete%7C0&term_meta[]=get%7Cautocomplete%7C0&term_meta[]=followers%7Cautocomplete%7C0&term_meta[]=on%7Cautocomplete%7C0&term_meta[]=instagram%7Cautocomplete%7C0
I found that you dont necessarily need thousands of followers if you use the right hashtags. So, understanding how to best use hashtags is a good place to start. Once again, just type that into Pinterest search and you should get hundreds of blog articles about that.
If you can work out who is your target audience, then you can hone in on those by following these people, and often they will follow you back. The other way is to join social media groups. (People who like vintage postcards? Racing cars? Racing Sports?). For example, my husband joined a FB group who were interested in what he was selling on Shopify and now he gets lots of regular sales and return buyers from there. On Pinterest I found a specific group in my target audience range, and used to just post there because I got far better response than just posting to everyone.
But like anything, just start small and learn as you go. Just post links to your products, and hashtag, hashtag, hashtag. Hashtags will open you up to a greater audience than just your followers. And also perhaps consider joining some groups.
If you start to feel that your account is becoming too sell/sell/sell and starting to put people off then write some interesting (related) blog posts. Maybe something in your area of expertise (vintage racing cars?? Where you find your vintage postcards??) and post those. Or post some interesting articles (from other sources) in that area as well. Think of interesting or helpful things that your audience would like to know more of.

While streaming has brought significant profits to the recorded music industry, the talent behind it performers, songwriters and composers are losing out, said DCMS Committee chair Julian Knight MP. Only a complete reset of streaming that enshrines in law their rights to a fair share of the earnings will do.
First in the committees sights were the pitiful returns it said artists and songwriters earn from streaming. To help remedy that, the report calls on the government to introduce a right to equitable digital music remuneration.
A similar non-waivable, non-transferrable right to equitable remuneration (ER) which is not subject to recoupment already exists for U.K. radio play, and would mean streaming recording royalties would be split 50/50 between performers and rights-holders.
To bad there's no lobby or representation for artists who create stock images. I mean, imagine that, a fair share and 50/50 of subscription sales for example?
Bold is mine.

Not POD, not stock... I just picked one. https://etsystrike.org/?msclkid=2bfbe631ba6511ec9a21b781b976e37aThese are our demands: Cancel the fee increase. Crack down on resellers with a comprehensive plan that is transparent, so sellers can hold Etsy accountable. Give Golden support tickets to sellers affected by extreme AI actions (account termination, 45/90 day holds, etc.) End the Star Seller Program. Give all sellers the ability to opt out of off site ads. For more information on each of these topics and how they impact each of us as sellers, see our petition. https://www.coworker.org/petitions/cancel-the-fee-increase-work-with-sellers-not-against-usMaybe they need to form a coalition on Facebook? Lets see how this works out for them.

Yes I've made it all the way to two now this year. And honest, this isn't a complaint, just amusement. Here's the rejection reason, copy and paste. Your image might have one or more of the following technical issues:
Distorted pixels, image was interpolated, poorly scanned, upsampled, oversharpened, overprocessed/ overfiltered or JPG was not saved at the highest quality.
The composition of a successful commercial image needs to be clear and supportive of the image's main concept and primary subject. A good composition is one that does not limit designers' potential usage of the image (for instance, a tight crop). Engaging the classical rules of composition, such as the rule of thirds, the golden ratio or a supportive use of negative space may help you to produce good commercial images.
Poor lighting due to lighting conditions (wrong time of day, dull skies, harsh shadows etc.) and/or camera limitations / Poor contrast or incorrect exposure.
Please improve the technical execution (distorted pixels, noise, blending, DOF, color corection, background removal, white balance, dust on the camera sensor, etc.)
Illustration is poorly executed. Please pay attention to: poorly traced/autotraced and scanned images, noise and inaccurate texturing on 3D renders, aliased/jagged lines, banding effect on gradients, noise/distorted pixels on various textures and images used within the illustration, unwanted orphan stripes/lines across your illustration, blurry illustration due to software upsampling or interpolation.
This image was not uploaded completely and cannot be reviewed. Please reupload it. Once uploaded, make sure the thumbnail of the image does not contain horizontal color error lines, gray areas (with no content visible) or is not entirely gray.
Image is out of focus or too much of the subject is out of focus (DOF too shallow or DOF not justified) / Image is shaken. Use a faster speed or a tripod. Please check the files at 100% zoom before submitting them.
The area occupied by the isolated subject is too small, and by cropping the resulting image is under 3 Megapixels.
Image was not saved as sRGB or Adobe RGBCan anyone tell me why my image was rejected? I get the idea that the reviewer just didn't like it at all? The other rejection was because DT has a site that creates Social Media Banners, and I had cropped an image to make something already accepted into a banner. (with copy space of course) This image is identical or almost identical to another submission that was already approved in your portfolio. Please avoid uploading images twice to keep your approval ratio high.
Please do not duplicate over and over again contents from images already online by reusing the same elements in collages with the same artistic value.Who wrote these?

House Bill 1619 was introduced in Missouris lower chamber on Tuesday, where it drew markedly contrasting responses."This could be interesting as we have rights in the Constitution. Is the right to fly over public property and take photos going to be restricted? People or their property?

Nothing to do with politics, or money or countries or ethnics or groups or gender... sorry. If it's tribal symbol the head is small. If it's a land or water feature, that doesn't make sense because of the curved part. I'm just hoping that someone in the world has seen something like this before?

This has come up before, I wanted to start a thread so I don't have to hijack everyone else's discussions of small market subjects and things that aren't the most popular, but could fill in for something that's under supplied. Enough of sliced vegetables and tomatoes (which are a fruit) I've found something new and what will probably set a trend for new artistic images. Not really, but I still can find some joy and humor in this whole Micropayment Stock game? Everything sliced, and isolated, all the time! AS 6,969 results for sliced kumquat I'll need to up my game now and make better images. SS 8,376 sliced kumquat stock photos. I can see an agency war building now.

I can't seem to get anything with Illustrations, submitted. I can submit photos just fine, but when I try vectors, in DM, Qhero or now ESP online, I just get strange screens and errors. Nothing is missing? Best I can get from IS support so far is, make sure you aren't uploading to Getty. I changed my password to make sure I was on my IS account. Go to ESP and it's using the old password, not the new one, but my same email. Support says "It's possible..." What the heck, I can have two different passwords for the same site and I don't know which one? When I go to ESP it uses the Music Portal Password, not the new password for iStock. (music portal is dead, they went with a supplier) Anyone have any ideas?

Just got an email from a photographer friend, I've known him for many years.
Can you help me... OK I answered, I'll try.
"Thanks for responding, I am sorry for bothering you with this mail. I need to get a GOOGLE PLAY GIFT CARDS for my niece. Its her birthday but i can't do this now because the stores around here are out of stock and i tried purchasing online but unfortunately no luck with that. Can you get it from any store around you? I'll pay back. Kindly let me know if you can handle this?
Await your soonest response Thanks Rick"
Now I'm starting to get suspicious? I wrote back... I can't go until Noon and I'll bring them over to your house.
"You can get it at any Store around you like ( Target, CVS, Walmart, Walgreens or any grocery stores) Total amount needed is $300 Google play gift cards ($100 denomination). I will need you to scratch the back of the card to reveal the pin, then take a snapshot of the back showing the pin and have them email me and I can forward to her."
Oh no that's not going to happen. I wrote to Rick and realized he was a different address and the fake was an Outlook account, pretending to be Rick.
Last message was, "OK enough fun, this isn't Rick and I'm phoning him right now. I hope he notifies everyone he knows, along with the police."
What? Someone asking a friend to help get some gift cards for his Niece? It started innocent enough, but once the fake hit the scratch off and send the code, that was the end.
Just posting this in case it's something new and going to be hitting all over?
Await your soonest response I should have seen the red flag right there. Now I see the spelling and formatting errors that someone who worked in the newspaper business wouldn't have made.

I got size unacceptable size as a message. Do I have to create a special preview JPG larger size to go along with the vector?
JPEG preview minimum resolution: 5,000 pixels x 3,000 pixels or 15MP
The original images aren't that big, so after making the EPS, I should open and export a new JPG preview, that's larger than the original art file?
Say for example the drawing is 3000x3000 and that's the size of the EPS Vector. Or maybe just take the original, resize, save and make an Adobe size preview?
The error message says "Filename.zip couldn't be uploaded because its resolution is too small. Images must be at least 4 MP and vector previews at least 15 MP. "
Seems odd that there's a need for a 15MP preview.

I don't know, but the article seems to insist on the end of the DSLR while Canon doesn't actually say that. https://petapixel.com/2021/12/28/canon-confirms-weve-seen-its-last-flagship-dslr/Let me explain: "Canon Chairman and CEO Fujio Mitarai stated that the companys development and production of flagship DSLRs will be wound down within a few years." PetaPixel lower headline: Weve Likely Seen the Last Canon DSLR which to me is a bit of a leap, although not impossible. Lets shout and be dramatic... Once again, headline that Canon is done making EF lenses is a bit of embellishing of the truth for a headline. "Canon is going all-in on mirrorless. The company has revealed that it has no plans to create any new EF lenses for DSLRs unless photographers demand more." Truth is Canon will not create new lenses in EF format. Which is nothing like done making EF lenses. Anyway, here we are again, watching the demise of the DSLR, which after 15-20 years,m when it's finally a reality, someone will come up and say "see I told you so..."

I seem to get no help from anyone. I know Franky tried, he's tried many times, and can't duplicate the error on my account. If I try to upload a raster illustration, I keep getting some box in the lower left about RANK - 1Best 2Better 2Good. If I try to upload, I get an error, Collection_Code can't be blank. And when I try to select rank and collection, they resent to red, before I can upload? This isn't a DM issue, because QHero doesn't work either, and with ESP they are just sitting there pending, nothing happens. OK so that's a long way around to the point. And if anyone understands why I get those errors, sure I'm listening. Other people I know have looked and they don't get that error. I had it with XP and old versions of DM, I've had it with laptops and now running the newest DM and Windows 10, desktop and laptop, I still get those two rogue panels. After a couple of years, maybe more, of this frustration, trying to upload "Illustrations" that are JPGs, I copied the list. Then being Winter and early and bored I finally found free OCR in Irfanview and made the list into text. I thought it might be interesting to share the Collections from Getty. I suspect this is also the partner sites. Sometimes people have asked, who are the partners.
