Hello,
since some days, my portfolio amount of files on Storyblocks is decreasing. It was around 1230 files accepted and since some days it has decreased to 1180, just as if 4 or 5 files were removed each day...
Anyone having the same thing ?
Regards

After receiving an email from Getty:
"Dear Getty Images Contributor,
We received and processed a request to update your payment information or email.
For security purposes, if you did not initiate a change please:
Sign in to your Getty Images account to check and possibly update your current payment method and email address.
Please contact contributor services immediately by responding to this email and informing us that you didnt initiate a change to either your payment information or email.
    Change your Getty Images password.
Thank you,

I tried to sign in to my contributor account but the password was changed and the thief also made a secondary password.
I made a ticket support on nov.7th and never had any answers yet (apart from the automatic response when you submit support ticket), despite other emails from me reviving them.
Have no access at all to my account.
Thank you Getty

Am I dreaming or did I read 'Shutterstock' 'trust' and 'ethical' in the same sentence ?

Message to this forum's dev/admin : can we have a minus (-1) link option to dislike some messages in this thread...
For example those from M. Hayward ?
Considering the interdiction of opt out from Firefly, which is a shame and puts from now on Adobe Stock on the same level as Shutterstock and those alike (which says it all).
That may be a least for us contributors in this forum...

Thanks Annie!

Hi Guys,
anyone here who knows the fastest way to delete the entire 123rf portfolio ?
I sent an email but no reply...
Thanks for helping

The fastest way is to contact them and they will close your account. But, that's if you really trust that they will delete your assets.  Otherwise you can delete images 20 at a time.  Videos only one at a time. I just did that with about 5,000 images and 1300 videos. THEN I requested account closure. But there is no one click and done, unfortunately.
After one week, still no answer to my email asking for cancellation of my account.
And I could not delete my files manually since they are not appearing in their crappy website. No vectors, they show only images in my files list.

Hi,
this month, my estimated earnings for June on Storyblocks are way bigger than usual. I know it may vary over days but here it is in significant numbers.
This thread is just to see if someone has the same thing happening.
Best

We hope this email finds you well.

We want to let you know about some important changes were making to the current Envato Market Author Terms that affect you as a creative contributor to our platform.

Envato is committed to supporting the creative industry and empowering our Authors to share their skills and talents with the world. As the industry evolves and technology transforms the way content is created and consumed, our updated terms will help in embracing this changeallowing us to continue to work closely with the creative community to unlock new opportunities for increased earnings.

So, whats being updated?

The most significant change in this update is in regard to our license to your content. Were broadening the scope of Envatos use of your items to unlock new revenue streams. The updated terms allow us to enter into agreements with third parties to expand the distribution and usage of your content across all item categories on Market (third party arrangements).

Examples might include:

Distributing your items on content platforms across the globe.
Developing generative AI models that use your content.
Developing a test/build environment with a third party to build new product offerings, features or services.

To avoid doubt, where Envato enters into a third party arrangement as described above, licensing terms will not include rights for that third party to publicly perform, display broadcast or communicate your items for their own specific purposes, ie. for marketing and promotion or incorporated in End Products.

Our Author Agreement now also includes the addition of perpetuity to our licensing terms. For example, if your content is used to train an AI model, it may not be possible to make the AI forget any learnings from your item. This means that if you decide to take your items down after the updated terms become effective, your item(s) may still be used, in some capacity, by a third party.

The Envato Market Author Terms are also updated so that the indemnity you provide to us includes indemnification against any third party claim relating to a breach of your warranties in respect of your items. This update is generally consistent with the Envato Market Terms.

How will payments work?

You will be paid whenever Envato receives payment by a third party for the permitted use of your Market items as part of a third party arrangement. We do not have the details of future arrangements so we cannot provide you with the fee payable to you. However, this additional usage will be reflected in your Earnings Statement.

When will the updates take effect?

These updates will take effect 20 days from now, on 1 June, 2023 and are available to be viewed here.

There is no need to take any action to accept the updated terms. But if you do not want your content used in this broadened capacity, you will need to remove your content from Envato Market before the changes come into effect on 1 June, 2023. By continuing to use Envato Market after this time, you agree to the updated terms.

We appreciate your continued support and membership of our community and look forward to helping you thrive in this ever-changing creative landscape.

Team Envato

Well BYE BYE and mostly farewell Envato ! :-)

<complaining mode on>
3 video sales last night = 3x 2,80$ where it would have been 3x 28$ before.  >:(
An average of 1000$ lost each month. I don't think any average workers would be excited with such cut on their wage sheet

Or maybe this is because I'm submitting on the french Adobe Stock contributor site ?... ???
Well after taking a look on the 'technical requirements' page, it is still recommended to "Avoid vertical or square framing" for video contents.
Too early to start uploading I guess...

That page you reerenced will be updated shortly with the updated informaiton on vertical videos. If you submitted vertical videos and they were rejected for technical reasons, it was not because you uploaded them in vertical format. What were the file numbers? I'll be happy to take a look for you.

-Mat
Thanks Mat,
after taking a look the files were exported with default settings on my after codec plug in putting them in 3840x2160.
Apologize for all, I will submit a proper 2160x3840 and we'll see.
Thank you very much for helping!
Hi Mat,
it's ok, after reuploading proper 4k 2160x3840px videos, they have been accepted.
I hope this format will bring some popularity in the buyers community and a new source of income (fingers crossed...)
Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

In case you missed the livestream I hosted today, I wanted to share the link. For videographers specifically, you may be interested in considering adding vertical video to your portfolio if you haven't done so already (if you already had, you might want to re-submit, we explain why during the livestream). During the livestream I was joined by Tom Spota who is the Senior Manager in charge of motion at Adobe Stock. He spoke specs and subjects to shoot and I think it's worth a watch. If you only want to watch that segment, it starts at 13:39 and lasts around 15 minutes.

I was later joined by a fantastic sports cinematographer and photographer named Corey Jenkins who shared some very valuable insight into his career. Worth a watch in my opinion.

Thanks!

Mat Hayward

Hi Matt,

recently (some months ago) I uploaded animations in square format which were refused because of the format not accepted at the time. Do you think they should be accepted now ?

Thx

Benoit

No, I don't believe so. Tom covers the acceptable resolution options during the livestream I had linked above.

Thanks for the question,

Mat
Thanks for answering.
Well unfortunately it seems that the inspection staff should be informed of the acceptance of vertical videos, because I just submitted four 4k videos (2160x3840 px) which were refused for "technical reasons". For information it is similar adapted versions of normal 4k files which were all accepted...
 ???

Thank you!!

I'm waiting for all the haters to come comment ridiculing me as usual though.  lol

... while WE should be the haters for being robbed this way by Adobe and the Thievery dream team Inc. (SS, Getty etc...)

Nobody is forcing you anything, and it's not free, you get 5$.
[/quote]

Wrong.
If I'm hired for a job at 1000$/month, and suddenly it drops to 100$/month, am I forced to leave ? I think so.
In this case I am earning 2,80$ instead of 28$, and 5,60$ instead of 56$. Take some time and do your math.
And if your message was just another "take it or leave it", just give me a break.
