Hello Mat,

I appreciate your efforts and I think you're a nice person.
But I think Chillswell in his message was rather referring to the new commission rate for videos.
Yes we are not forced to submit our work into the free collection, but we are forced, and have no other choice than to accept that our videos are now sold with a price commission divided by 10...
Unless Adobe Stock allows us to opt out from this plan (which would not be very complex to set up), it is nothing but pure robbery.

Regards

Benoit
Thank you for the support, guess we both don't like licking boots so much.
Easier to just ignore us. Force us to sell our work for $0.50 cents and be "generous"
to have it listed for free, optionally . >:(
Yes, and it feels like we are both the elephant in the room in this thread...

I'm sorry you feel that way @Chillswell

Well, you've clearly singled me out here haven't you?
have you read the forums? its not just me who feels this way.

We got quite a few big players here protesting the change in Adobe over the past year,
But, it wouldn't be polite of me to name them, you know who they are.

Anyways, plenty of others here to tell you how amazing you and adobe are,
while they sell their 4k footage for $1.50 instead of $50 or $70 .
The reviews on glassdoor regarding adobe don't lie though,
So good luck to you and your "army" of flatterers here.

Well said. +++

More and more 2,80 and 5,60 video commissions :-( A bunch of old licenses (28 and 56, sometimes 70) still sold but probably the last. Video income actually divided by 10.
Dear Adobe Stock, welcome to the Istock/Shutterstock greedy family. (yes complaining, that's all we have left)

Adobe Stock / Re: Video Royalties To Drop
« on: April 04, 2022, 03:55 »
Masybe I was reading the new earnings breakdown fast and my brain froze.
What do I earn per video in this case?
HD - 16-500 CREDIT PACK OR ON-DEMAND
4K - SUBSCRIPTION, 40-500 CREDIT PACK OR ON-DEMAND

The earnings per download are broken down by subscription plans in the royalties page linked here: https://contributor.stock.adobe.com/en/royalties

The least would have been to allow contributors to opt out from this and "decide" whenever they want to have a loss of income...

Off Topic / Re: Message to all Russians in these forums
« on: March 04, 2022, 13:50 »
Dear Russian friends, I know there is a significant stock photographers community, so I have an appeal to you.

Please do not believe in your Russian media propaganda saying that terrible war is some kind of "special action". It is regular war against Ukrainian civils. Putin is cannon firing kindergartens, hospitals and civilian areas. Your Russian dictator is not better that Hitler or Kim Jong-un. He started the worst kind of war in the middle of Europe so no one can feel safe now.

I am asking you to inform and spread the true information wherever you can in your country. Putin already cut you off from most foreign media, so all ways to reach you are good.

Thanks!

BTW, I am not Ukrainian, but I have so much sympathy to their people that I had to post it, hope it won't be removed. If is reaches even one unaware Russian, my message makes sense. The only way to bring peace back to Europe is to make Russian aware and ready to avert from their ruler.

Please do not confuse any population in the world with their politicians. Please, first before lecturing any citizen from any country, do not believe in your own country's media propaganda. I have much sympathy for both ukrainians and russians, yet I don't think my little person & my personal opinions/feelings/believes/thoughts can have any influence on geopolitical events, as terrible as they can be, but unfortunately that's how we are educated and accustomed to think in most of western countries. And Putin is not Hitler.

Give it a bleeding rest I'm sick of Putin apologists who think that psycho sh-it is some kind of new messiah

Where did you see any apology of Poutine in this quote ? You're the kind of people reaching the godwin point in 1 nanosecond. People who don't read history books, which are made to help making relevant comparison, makes me vomit. If I say Putin did not bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki what will you say ???

Dumbest stock agency ever

40
I wonder if it is worth the effort just by curiosity ?
I make enough money with stock agencies, but I was wondering if I could bring buyers to my own agency via Instagram (which I don't know very much)
Any opinion welcome
Have a great WE!

Lots of extended licenses.
Interested here.
How many photos do you sell are extended as in one to how many with Adobe and how many where there in absolute numbers? I had three but had to enforce them eventually via the copyright department because the company that went commercial with my photo's bought them at the 33 cent price and it took a whole lot of effort on my side to get Adobe doing anything about it.
Yes I had sells with somewhat larger amount as the 66 or 99 cents and an additonal 3 or 4 dollars but Extended like 26 and above never except those three I mentioned.
I hear other people complaining also they never get EL licenses. So please inform us how that is for you and at what level?
I make most of my extended licenses on video sales, I have almost no extended L with my illustrations (probably one every 6 month...)

Amazing year for me with AS.
#1 in earnings so far, monthly balance paid in my own currency (EUR) so no Paypal commissions :-)
The acceptance rate is fast and almost 100%. Lots of extended licenses.
Thumbs up!

Adobe Stock / Metadata not read for video uploads
« on: October 19, 2021, 09:16 »
Hi, on Adobe Stock since some days, once uploaded via sftp, my .mp4 videos metadata are not automatically read as usually before...
Aynone having the same issue ?

Adobe Stock / Re: Video upload problems?
« on: October 19, 2021, 03:34 »
Hi,
my uploads show after being loaded via sFtp, but the metadata are no longer read since a few days... But yet they are embedded as usual in my mp4 files.
Anyone has the same experience ?

46
Sorry to read that :-(
What the fxxck is wrong with them ?! I already told on this forum that when I send them multiple notices of thieves accounts with dozens of duplicate videos, they just - in the better case - pull the videos and let the thieves account online. And here - from what I understand - for just one image, they shut your account all the way down...

47
As they did for me, they will probably in the best case delete the duplicate files that you listed and let the portfolio online as if nothing happened  >:(

There is no benefit for Shutterstock to pay people to delete thieves accounts

Finally, I found this monday that the thief portfolio has been deleted.
I guess that maybe some serious people are back from holidays...
So I'm now working on other thieves portfolio DMCA notices.
What a waste of time and energy  >:(
