Hello,
just to have some suggestions and feelings.
I have a project of creating 4 HD videos for a customer, consisting in adding 4 different fx (light, neon waves, electricity...) to a static 2d image.
I guess it will be almost between half an hour/1h for each to get done
Would you send me your ideas about how much would you charge for this kind of custom job?
I am asking because I'm quite exclusively dedicated on creating stock videos...
Thx

And now better than anything they have removed my 5 uploads from the submission list! Totally professional, totally transparent
All for you winner!  ;D

Motion Array : 5 videos uploaded november 21st. One month later... Nothing #walkingdeadagencies

No sales or not edited yet?

Not edited yet. My 5 files are listed as 6-5-4-3-2 for a while and then they are 12-11-10-9-8 in the inspection queue...

True. It has to be said
This year AS has became my first agency in terms of revenue and respect (which works together most of the time ;-)
After the SS mess, my revenue there has significantly increase (don't know if there is any relation...)

It's highly appreciated to sell images and videos with very decent prices and even sometimes unexpected big licenses

83
Unbelievable and outrageous Shuttercrap!

This free collection stuff doesn't sound ok to me but I must agree that at the moment Adobe Stock is my new "iStock-before-the-getty-nightmare" agency
Very good prices and rpi with regularity

It's all even uglier than I realized. Oringer sold stock on August 3 and 4th - a total of 85,000 shares for a total of $4,645,801.97

The investor page shows the Aug 5 filing of SEC form 4

https://investor.shutterstock.com/static-files/5b826d21-eecb-4bd3-9852-cd28fa01bb3f

To get an idea of how much Jon Oringer pocketed as a result of their maneuver to bump up the stock price, compare the 85k shares sold with what they would have fetched at the July 8th price (his prior stock sale) - he made just over $1.5 million more ($1,508,451.97).

All of the above is before his plan filed today to get rid of another 3.5 - 4 million shares (it'll depend on the price as to what $200 million maps to)

What a disgusting man thing he is

Awesome!

And for me also: Donation made!  And I will also do it again.

That's $$ not in Shuttercrook and other Gettythieves pockets

Thanks to you all, so very much!

Benoit

Thank you so much for the donation.

If you'd like to have one of your illustrations (I assume from your user name :) ) as a cover on our social media pages, let me know via PM. It would have to be something I could work into a horizontal format with a fairly skinny "safe" area.

Thanks. Something like the images you put in FB header for example ?

Shutterstock used to win around $5000 monthly thanks to my work as I only get between $1500 and $2000 for myself.
I'm just a small (yet happy until today) fish in that game but think about it one second, if you multiply such amounts by hundred, even dozen, that makes some Big Big sense.
And now think about the numbers if some way bigger fishes are also deactivating...

91
Someone has an idea about how long that it takes for the deactivated portfolio to be not viewable on SS ?

92
And theses bxstxrds just made it in beginning of summer holidays as if by chance  >:(

93
Just disabled 2874 vectors and 2363 motion graphics and animations. (https://www.shutterstock.com/g/benchart?rid=709372)
I guess they will disappear soon
$131,473 lifetime and 211,731 downloads since december 2010

No way going from $0,38 to $0,10 subscriptions sales! They should have set them to $0,42 instead to thanks their big contributors >:(

94
Not only is Mr Oringer greedy and disrispectful to thousands of contributors that made him a billionare but he also a coward. After the biggest uprising of small and big contributors in the lifetime of his company he does not have the dignity to step up and face all the worried people that have their income at stake. I would stay away from a person like this at all costs.

Hi there,
I stopped uploading to Motion elements months ago and I've seen recently that they are selling via subscriptions program with Global Content+ Program Payouts, but there is no numbers or $ balance displayed, totally blind...
Does anyone know how many micro-$ or nano-$ earnings this means just to have an idea ?
Thanks!

General - Top Sites / Frustrated with Shutterstock reviewers

Just look at this https://www.shutterstock.com/video/search/countdown?sort=newest

At the same time I still got many rejections for dumb reasons of cool video backgrounds accepted anywhere else than on SS

admin edit: edited subject for wording.

For example I got videos rejected for 'similar content' which are accepted at Videohive! : when you know how it's hard to get your stuff approved by there... >:(

Pard my French, but I just have to let it out.

They reject left and right even images with good selling potential for being "similar", and when something gets rejected, there is no use to resubmit because 100% of rejected images just keep getting rejected for the same reason.

I don't think this is that much due to SS's policy itself, I think it's more about incompetent reviewers. They are not just incompetent, they are f*cking idiots.

I feel better now, but these idiots will remain being idiots and they'll just keep rejecting left and right without using their brain even a little.

1000% agree! I get rejected stuff for stupid 'similar content'. These fools are losing money, I have best selling vector christmas backgrounds which I upload in various format (square, 4/3, wide, portrait etc...) and they reject it. They used to accept it before with no problem. Well fxxx them they will sell on AS and elsewhere.

99
Yes, their system has gone crazy.
To get rid of similar images they are also punishing good contributors who put lot of efforts trying to make every work different than other.

SS team needs a good counseling

Absolutely! I have a series of vintage backgrounds in light and dark version and now they systematically reject one if the other was uploaded before.
But they sell both!

100
Once again,
I get this message when uploading my vector. With every other agencies no problem.
The SS upload system is pathetic since their last changes  >:(
