Ever since I upgraded to CS6, I have had trouble getting SS to properly recognize any files saved as EPS 8.
If I upload as EPS 10 it seems to work just fine.
Most of my files are saved as EPS 10 and I don't do anything to label them differently.

Thanks Leo for the help with Feature Images. I do have two qeustions though:
Where can I change the thumbnail size and also, how do I make the thumbs into more than one column? I've been lookin all through the files but I'm not having much luck. Anyone?
I would love to be to show the "latest images" in two columns in my side bar, instead of the single column that it is now. There is currently a lot of unused space.

Hi Dave, I think you've hit on something quiet important, never realised some hosts maybe on a blocked list.
My site is on Just Host - www.travelwitness.net - can you check if this is blocked?
Be good to build a reputable hosting list so Symbistock has a chance to breathe.
Matt, your beautiful site loads just fine.

A little more poking around... I found the Bluehost forum and found a couple sites running wordpress that I was able to access.
Not sure if that is helpful or not.

I'm with Bluehost - can you please check BackyardStockPhotos.com? Link in my signature below
Steve
Blocked.
Must be an issue with Bluehost and the settings on the firewall here.
Not sure if this is something that can be worked out between BlueHost and Websense, or if someone here blocked the Bluehost IP.
I am not on bluehost so your company must be blocking some other way, if they are blocking. I suspect that your firewall has been configed to block adsense ads, but i am only guessing. I am not up on how that works.
Edit: i did a couple searchs too and i think it might be a company blocking thing.
Not sure why Google AdWords would have anything to do with this.

Just a thought, are these all new domains or established ones. If mine is blocked try kerioak.com to see if that comes up or not?
Your site loads, both kerioak.com and your symbio sub domain.

I've emailed Websense to see if I can find out why they are blocked.
Not a great start to our new adventure!
steve
This could be specific to my location, but it also could be a much bigger issue. A Google search for "bluehost blocked by websense" does bring up several results. I just don't have the time to dig into it much right now.

So wouldnt it be a problem with your place of employments firewall? I just checked here at my work and nothing is blocked. I dont see how we are going to be able to control everyones firewalls. I am with ix webhosting.
Several sites, including my own, are not blocked. I do think it is safe to assume that that my place of employment is not the only one with these restrictions/firewall settings. Franky242's site is also blocked and he is with BlueHost.

This is an ancient thread but I'll play along.
I tried to get accepted at iStock many years ago and had one of my three files accepted. After a few more attempts I gave up and decided that this "stock" thing wasn't for me. For some reason I never thought at the time that there would be other places to submit my work.
A couple years later after becoming aware that there were places other than iStock I started submitting my work and making some cash.
After just over a year and a half I'm closing in on 30,000 downloads at Shutterstock alone. That one file that was accepted at iStock? It was one of my first ten at Shutterstock and has been one of my least popular images with a whopping 8 downloads. Those files that weren't good enough for iStock have been downloaded hundreds of times.
To put it simply... F#$% iStock.

Maybe those low sales are actually ELs? http://www.shutterstock.com/buzz/individual-image-licenses-update
Here is an explanation of two of those extended license options, one with and one without a sensitive use option.
A license without a sensitive use option. For individual images downloaded under these licenses, the contributor will typically receive a royalty of $2 to $15 or more, based on the cost of the license and the contributors earnings tier (20 to 30%).
Assuming that the commission for a single image download is still 30%, a image would have to be sold at just over $3 to bring in a $.95 rate. A normal license single download is priced at $19. There must be some sort of special offer that was offered by Shutterstock somewhere, it would just be nice to know the details. I had another $.95 single sale yesterday.

I appreciate that you are on these forums addressing these issues Anthony. Seriously, two thumbs up to you.
It is still up to the individual reviewer to decide what does or does not need a reference image, and that inconsistency added to the long review times of late is very frustrating. If you want to upload an image specific to a certain time of year or a holiday you could certainly miss out if you have to resubmit and wait another 2+ weeks for another review.
I have had a handful of images rejected in the past because I did not include a reference image. The problem for me is that there isn't one to submit. Most of my images are created on my computer, no originals exist.

I didn't see on the poll options to sell images in sets, I think you had this working on your original site and that's one of the main things I want to be able to offer on my own. This is probably a more programming intense change so I know it might be a while. It would also be great if you made it as a plugin that we could buy if that is possible.
I set up a category for collections and list zipped sets there -- each set will have smaller pix of the images included - and you can just use the zip option in pricing
I put one set together and plan on doing more. Here's an example: http://stompstock.com/image/the-50-states-project-all-50-usa-states-vintage-vector-stamps/
