To sue you would have to show damages. SS gave you fair warning they were dropping payment to you the seller . Yes they drooped payment to almost zero. No one forced you to stay and get almost no money. I see no damages. I do see a company that is bad...but no damages.

No damages? I'm unsure about the outcome of or basis for a class action, but damages are the easiest thing to show...your income decreased with the new royalty scheme, and if you didn't like it your only choice was to leave and make no money, which damaged your income even further.
I think you are confusing ethics and law. You should read again the contract you signed : its is take it or leave it, unfortunately.

That doesnt mean there arent damages. Having brought a wrongful death claim, sadly, I had to justify why someones death caused me damage, even though they werent financial, because the courts place monetary value on things like human life, enjoyment of property, emotional distress, etc. In this case actual monetary damage to income would be much easier to prove.
We could be talking of damages if there was a relation of subordination between SS and a contributor. But SS, as all the MS agencies, is only a service provider, of which we are not even clients (as contributors). They wright the rules and we accept them or not.

The only power we have is the power to choose the service provider which corresponds to our expectations, individually or collectively like the Stock Coalition is trying to do.

What about people working for SS being payed under minimal hour wage and SS selling their work in your market?

Do you see the damage now ?
If you are talking about us the contributors, we are not working for SS, we are working for us and using SS service to sell our work. Minimal hour wage has nothing to do here.

Unfortunately, the only way to avoid this is to delete your port as opposed to disabling it.  My port is disabled and I have accepted that the SS game for me is over. So I'll ride this out for a bit longer before I carve out the time to manually delete my work.  For me personally, that's phase two.
There is a very helpful script (ssremover) to remove files from SS in a batch. Explanations are here (nothing complicated) : https://www.microstockgroup.com/35653/35653/msg552685/#msg552685

In the contributor Dashboard you have a link View My Statistics above the graph. There you can choose the period of datas you wish.

@Communicat
You are using "Stock Alliance" along as "Stock Coalition" on the stockcoalition.org website (on the Join us page and the contact page). Even the contact email address uses the domain name stockalliance.org.
Must be a mistake, isn't it ?
The expression "Stock Alliance" has already been used in this article along with Stock Coalition.

Amount of sales increased because other people are disabling their ports
Pure speculation

Stock market was down in general on Friday, it is not SS specific.
The attached chart shows last month share price and if you take a closer look you'll see that it is going down since June 8th after it went up since June 2nd

Port disabled for at least a week. 3300+ photos, no video, level 4. Stopped uploading since June 1st.

61
Is SS blocked it already? It worked for me earlier, but not anymore.

I turned my images off last week, then I got a notice that I was going to get a payment, so I turned them back, worried that they would withhold the payment. After the pmt. was in my bank, I went back to turn them off, and I just kept getting a message that I turned them on and off too many times. one time? I tried for 4 days, and they never worked again. Meanwhile, I deleted all images except one. I left my account open, because some people were reporting that images that had been rejected were showing up in their port.  I want to monitor that.
I mean, deleting script is not working anymore.
It works for me (Chrome with Tampermonkey extension on Mac).
The script is executed in your browser (client side) so SS has no way to block it.

For chrome you will need Tampermonkey extension:

For other browsers - Greasemonkey extension:

Now we are "loudmouths" for daring to voice on an opinion on a forum.
Since he did not ask for opinions but for datas...

64
So many short-minded people in here  ::)

@astockphotographer088
You should make an anonymous poll at the end of June to collect the datas the way you want and avoid all these loudmouths who already know the end of the story.

65
End of the month I'll look for another simple, up down thread without the complicated and intricate math.
Nothing complicated. Just use a spreadsheet to process your datas. No need for a master in physics !

66
Funny thing happened. I joined that Stock Submiters Coalition facebook group, and asked Shelma1, when she's planning to disable her vectors, since she's some kind of leader there. She  banned me from the group.

I guess she won't join the action, she prefers others to do it for her.  Hypocrisy at it's finest.
Not surprising ::)

67
I feel like somme (angry) people here just don't want to understand what astockphotographer088 is trying to achieve : compile enough datas in order to have an objective vision on the (probably catastrophic) new RPDs and the proportion of higher licences vs subs. Afaiac I find it very interesting.

It is not because his/her June RPD is higher (for the moment) than his/her average RPD that he/she is taking position for SS. That's just a fact.

Just one remark about the datas : with the impact of the COVID-19 on the sales in march, april and may, I think it would be more relevant to compare with 2019 datas.

Anyway, here are my datas :

My Current Level:
4

My Previous Level:
2/4 - $0.33

My last 3 month Average RPD:
0.63

June RPD:
1.46 (+232%)  :o => 2 ELs, I don't expect it to resist a long time to the 0.10$ subs...

Last 3 month average RPD without EL:
0.61

June average RPD without EL:
0.30 (-50%)

Omg I dont know whether to laugh or cry. Seriously...two people here have miraculously increased their RPD, in fact yours has tripled, while everyone elses has plunged? Now I know youre trolling for SS.
Come on, man... don't be so childish. Your 12000+ illustrations are still on sale on SS so what ? Are you supporting SS yourself ?

What about your datas ?

My previous RPD - Lifetime average:

Current RPD (June 1-2 sample):
$0.47

Current reduction in RPD:
37% (Level 4)

Some comment here: My average RPD on the first five month of 2020 (Jan to May) is $0.69.

I don't understand people who disable their port at SS because they don't accept to get 10 for a sale while they have a port at IS where they can get as few as 2 for a sale :o

I had several hugh sales with IS nearly 100 per sale - that makes up for the low sales in IS.

But I never ever had just one big sale with SS - its always just those cheap subscription sales on SS.
It's just the opposite for me...

Maybe it's too early to tell, maybe there is still  hope, but the first 2 days of June give me a different impression. I only get 0,10$ - 0,14$ sales and if all of June will be like this I will end up with only a third of what I used to make on Shuttertock and what I still make on iStock with almost the same port. That's why I will stay on IS, but will deactivate my account on SS by the end of the month, should my earnings continue to be as low as they are now.
This is what I was implying. I'm not happy with SS new earning scheme, believe me, but unless you can tell the future, I think it is far to early to draw conclusions on whether it is worth going on with SS, compared to IS (I'm on IS too).

The key points for my decision will be SS new RPD and the level reset on January 1st. It would be quite interesting to fill this thread (https://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/how-is-ss-rpd-turning-out-for-you-in-this-first-month/msg551036/?topicseen on a regular basis over the year.

I just got a new sale for 0,35$... Don't know what to think ::)

Because the average is 40-70 cents, at least among the people I know and myself. Non exclusive and ignoring connect.
OK but we don't know yet SS new RPD
