Guess the algorithm got us all wondering. I got some images that is on their first page but others are sunk below. As a buyer i cant see myself wasting time going through all the pages. On another thread someone suggested productivity could also play a role these days, like uber's algorithm here locally favours drivers who works more.

Hi there i am interested to know how can one improve your images rankings on Getty's website. Does sales improve the ranking which means it will be a harder task for someone whose image appears on page 52 of the search.

it seems the reduced amounts are rolling out now. If one go to their website you can also see they reduced the cost for large images. I think they are trying to compete with Shutterstock now.

I dont shoot much on mobile prefer a "camera" https://www.twenty20.com/Rushay/photos

Just hit 500 today.

closer to $100 for me and its been steady month on month.

Who could have thought the $2 could stack up so nicely.

What does that mean? 20$/month? 100$/month?

For me its only $2 - $16, thats why I stopped uploading. How big is your portfolio?

Then its going really well for you! Care to share your portfolio link?
Do you sell mainly mobile images or "normal stock"?

Follows and likes doesnt bother me, it could be a indicator that people love your work but sales is really more important to me. I think activity as far as uploads is important like with any stock site.

Hi, I take this post to ask a question, apart from uplod pictures, should I be active on the site (like, follow peoples, etc.)?

thanks

Twenty20 became a surprise for me sales wise. Who could have thought the $2 could stack up so nicely. Not sure if i would wanna pay a monthly subscription for a verification as for the approval time, i know they wont deny a buyer if they want the image.

I got it to. Pay a dollar a month to get pretty much nothing extra. Sounds like a ripoff to me.
Also this free sticker sounds sketchy as heck.
I might be wearing a tin foil hat but sounds like they are trying to get people to hand over their personal information so they can sell it onward.

Was very happy with 2020 up until these two events, review times are long but sales are increasing but now it feels like they are not doing too well.
Thats one way to kill your branding i guess....

When you make a sale you get a notification and there is also a update about premium option.

Could you please provide a link to the premium upgrade option. I don't see any on the desktop version. Or do mean the Signature Collection?

I noted via a sale today that Twenty20 is offering Premium Status which would offer the user a verified account and faster review time and payout on-demand for 99c per month. I am not sure how this would benefit me, my sales stream have been increasing but not sure if this is something people would opt for.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Getty - 500px partnership
« on: June 01, 2018, 05:04 »
I wonder will the images go through to Getty's site like with EyeEm, we know how long that process takes. 500PX just havent been attractive to me i just stopped loading.

I had pulled out of 500px marketplace when the last "exciting news" of them dropping the royalty rates was announced, so in one sense this doesn't affect me.

However Getty is a partner with EyeEm where I also have images and I've had a modest number of sales through that channel. I can only imagine 500px images diluting the sales of EyeEm images via Getty. Shame we can't get the Shutterstock Endless Vector Variations Collection up on Getty while they're looking for more supply :)

I wonder if this means that KK Thompson is moving on to bring "exciting news" to some other enterprise... Update. I checked Kelly Thompson's LinkedIn profile and the FAQ on the 500px site this afternoon. Kelly moved on from 500px Marketplace a year ago and from 500px last month. Other than being on the board of Showpass I don't see anything new.

Visual China Group bought 100% of 500px recently

Hey! Fair use varies by jurisdiction but we would say no, this doesn't qualify. Fair use for news reporting is for topical news stories. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions - Hannah

That's sh*tty, imagine when digital mediums are the only medium and everyone just embed a image.

173
I am sure this image was not purchased hence the visible watermark. Could this be considered a infringement?

That's kinda wack, unless all their clients are only social media licences.

175
I been wondering if twenty20 ever has sales over $2?
