General Stock Discussion / Re: How can one improve search ranking on Getty?« on: July 24, 2018, 06:14 »
Guess the algorithm got us all wondering. I got some images that is on their first page but others are sunk below. As a buyer i cant see myself wasting time going through all the pages. On another thread someone suggested productivity could also play a role these days, like uber's algorithm here locally favours drivers who works more.

General Stock Discussion / How can one improve search ranking on Getty?« on: July 24, 2018, 06:06 »
Hi there i am interested to know how can one improve your images rankings on Getty's website. Does sales improve the ranking which means it will be a harder task for someone whose image appears on page 52 of the search.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Getty price reduction« on: June 22, 2018, 05:57 »
it seems the reduced amounts are rolling out now. If one go to their website you can also see they reduced the cost for large images. I think they are trying to compete with Shutterstock now.

Follows and likes doesnt bother me, it could be a indicator that people love your work but sales is really more important to me. I think activity as far as uploads is important like with any stock site.
Hi, I take this post to ask a question, apart from uplod pictures, should I be active on the site (like, follow peoples, etc.)? 167
General Stock Discussion / Re: Twenty20 premium status« on: June 11, 2018, 03:15 »
Twenty20 became a surprise for me sales wise. Who could have thought the $2 could stack up so nicely. Not sure if i would wanna pay a monthly subscription for a verification as for the approval time, i know they wont deny a buyer if they want the image.
I got it to. Pay a dollar a month to get pretty much nothing extra. Sounds like a ripoff to me. 168
General Stock Discussion / Re: Twenty20 premium status« on: June 08, 2018, 02:23 »
When you make a sale you get a notification and there is also a update about premium option.
Could you please provide a link to the premium upgrade option. I don't see any on the desktop version. Or do mean the Signature Collection? 169
General Stock Discussion / Twenty20 premium status« on: June 06, 2018, 02:36 »
I noted via a sale today that Twenty20 is offering Premium Status which would offer the user a verified account and faster review time and payout on-demand for 99c per month. I am not sure how this would benefit me, my sales stream have been increasing but not sure if this is something people would opt for.

I wonder will the images go through to Getty's site like with EyeEm, we know how long that process takes. 500PX just havent been attractive to me i just stopped loading.
I had pulled out of 500px marketplace when the last "exciting news" of them dropping the royalty rates was announced, so in one sense this doesn't affect me. 171

a response to my tweet from Pixsy ,
"Replying to @rushay @GettyImages Hey! Fair use varies by jurisdiction but we would say no, this doesn't qualify. Fair use for news reporting is for topical news stories. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions - Hannah 172

That's sh*tty, imagine when digital mediums are the only medium and everyone just embed a image.

I am sure this image was not purchased hence the visible watermark. Could this be considered a infringement?
