What I learned from this is that istock actually pays 10c for non exclusive video! To anyone providing for them at those prices, how can you look at yourself in a mirror?
Totally not worth it. I think they gonna drive. On exclusives away and I dont know if theres that many people that wanna go exclusive.

The only thing that email did was convince me to stop uploading videos to iStock. I am not going exclusive and 10 cents is ridiculous.
Kinda suicidal to go exclusive in 2022, they will chase all non exclusive contributors away. The cost to produce video is just too expensive to be paid cents.

iStock Royalty Rate Card Change
From July 1, 2022, we will be increasing the minimum customer price per file for Exclusive Signature and Signature+ video to $10.00 USD, up from the current levels of $0.75 and $4.15 USD respectively. This will apply to subscriptions on iStock.com.

Why Are We Making This Change?
As customer demand for video continues to grow and outpace other file types, we want to reward our talented Exclusive videographers and encourage them to shoot even more high‑quality 4k video because we understand the increased investment that video content requires.

For Exclusive video contributors, it increases the value of high‑quality video in our Premium + Video subscription product, bringing it more in line with the relative value we assign to high‑quality video licensed using credits.

This change will help put more royalties into the pockets of contributors who create the great, Exclusive video content our customers need. (If youre not already Exclusive and have a strong portfolio, find out more about applying for Exclusivity.)

What are the details?
For files licensed using a subscription on iStock.com, the royalty rate is applied to the price per file. Subscription licenses have a minimum customer price per file applied, so you will always get your royalty rate on every subscription download at or above the minimums.

On July 1 we will update the iStock Rate Card minimum customer price per file table as highlighted below, increasing the minimum customer price per file for Exclusive Signature and Signature+ video to $10.00 USD.

When will I see these changes reflected on my royalty statement?
iStock.com subscription downloads dated July 1 and after will have the new minimum customer price per file for Exclusive video Signature and Signature+ files. (The royalty statement for July, available August 20, will likely have a lot of June downloads on it, for subscriptions which calculated prior to this July 1 effective date.)

If you want to benefit from rising customer demand, take the opportunity to add high quality video to your portfolio today!

It seems the foundation of all newly started agencies, is to amass images from contributors then sell in bulk through the top agencies.

No problemo it was 3 images at $1125 per image with the agent taking the same amount, so 50/50 split.

Hi there i just received a market freeze offer for three images, does anyone know how i go about getting them removed from iStock and Bigstock?
Hi rushay, congrats! Just out of curiousity, and if you are willing to share, can you tell how much the offer was?

...Has anyone else looked at their custom earnings to see how this plan worked out?

I have been tracking this - as best I can given the absence of any stats tools that let you separate these details out. I was concerned I'd see amounts below 38 cents, the prior floor for subscription sales. I haven't seen any custom sales below 38 cents and although the volume of higher-value custom sales - above $3.30 - has decreased.

You can see a rough assessment in an earlier post I made:

https://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/adobe-stock-sales-are-so-slow-this-days/msg567518/#msg567518

Bottom line is that I'm happy that the floor didn't drop out on prices for custom sales, although there's none of the upside that I used to see at Shutterstock with SODs - $90 - $120 royalties on some sales. Mind you, I might not still see those at SS either (I'm no longer there).
Hi Jo Anne I got a sale yesterday but it shows as subscription. Does Adobe indicate when its a extended license? I see subscription and custom only on my sales.

Thanks Uncle Pete :) the revenue share model seems to be the way for agencies going forward.

At Depositphotos, were always on the lookout to create new opportunities for our contributors. For this reason, we are introducing a Special Program in response to the increased demand for new plans on licensed content.

Under the new program, your earnings will be based on the Revenue Share model. This means that 40% of net revenue will be allocated among contributors whose files have been downloaded within the new plan.

Just added for the last missing words.  :)

I'm not a member but they keep writing to me. I changed my mind and now upload to DP through Wirestock.

I also got a invite through IG and i was a bit skeptical. I loaded a few and saw i got two 30 Cents sales. I am just not sure how credible they are or if this is another site trying to draw users in and then sell through the main sites in bulk through our portfolios

I should add a load of my images are there already and linked to DepositPhotos

I think if you click join it will opt your whole portfolio in.

Yes it seems to be the same one, didnt see this one. I got a e mail today. You can opt in or not i believe

I got the new email too. I am wondering if you can now only opt in or out your whole portfolio rather than individual images. I don't want to click the "Join" link in case it opts me right away without giving any more details.
