General Stock Discussion / Re: summer slow down?
« on: June 24, 2008, 08:05 »
Perhaps going out and taking some good photos and uploading them might help ..

I my opinion that is not enough! Ok i now that many complain but dont do nothing to turn this situation around. But the true is that global economy is down and all feel that. And microstock in not one exception to this!

If one company decide that they must cut into the budget they have, the 1 they cut is publicity and that reflects into micro stock!

http://blog.fotolia.com/us/on_the_net/cool_tools/snaparazzi_fotolia_api.html

Snaparazzi is one of fotolia's partners and has been for a long time. I didn't know about the mobile part of the site, but I'm assuming they buy an XS size when and if the buyer purchases the phone.

are you saying is it cool, or is this legal? since i notice you are portuguese
and in your language legao means cool!

whether it's legal, i think it looks right, and i think it's either a brazilian or portuguese associate of FT.
it looks good and legal, as it only advertises to sell your images.
i wouldn't complain as this is good promo for you.

and i guess you will get the commission from FT if someone downloads your image to their mobile.
cool! muito legao!  ;)
yet another way to make money, if FT does sell anything for anyone  ;)

obs : falo o portugues mas somente um poquinho , passei o tempo numa carnaval em brasil. adorei. 8)

I mean legal like in law and order, not "Legal" like Portuguese from Brazil. Im from Portugal and the Portuguese language is a bit different from Brazil. (like UK english vs Indian or American english).

As the site, if is legal and someone but the photos and i received the money, i think that is a good thin. But my question is that they already have the image without watermark. And i think that they can sell that image and i dont now about. I never sell some of the images i found in there and i can see that images without watermark. Can you see my point?

PS. O Brazil muito "legal" ou em Portugues do Portugal "porreiro" (cool)

Crestock.com / Re: Yippee made a sale
« on: June 18, 2008, 10:56 »
Im in there for 9 months and manage to shell 34 images and make the grand total of 14,50$ :)
So i left my daily work and now i stay at home living from that money.
And thinking how i miss BNPS Worldwide. Yes i now that they close but when i register with them in the beginning of the year a menage to make 65$ until they close the door after 2 or 3 months!!

Make my think way one site that make me with a small portfolio about 25$ month and close the door and we have this one for example that is still open and only manage to make 14,50 in almost one year.

I also have some HDR on sale, and they have some good sales, evan some EL. But you must have attention  to artifacts and not make the HDR too much unnatural. This one sells very good and have 2 EL.

But did you sign up with them?

95
Yes thats true.
I sign there 2 months ago and i was very happy with the site.
In this time i make 42$ only with 240 pictures.

Today i receive one email were they said that are sorry but the site is close down, all the work was erase and the money that i have was transfer to my pay pal account.

I never aspect this from this site, in fact last week i receive one email from them asking for pictures from one typical (Oporto) city near were i live. To me everything was fine.

This is very sad. BNPS was a good please. (at least for me)

Im also have few images online. Im also very new to the stockworld. But i think that Istock as a great place and a dominant player in this game. The only 2 sites that improve performance (to me and my pictures) is IS and DT. In fact IS is my best site since October (yes im also upload to the beast SS that is my 2 best site) i can give one example from my experience, on particular image from the beginning of my stock adventure, in SS make 8$ and die after 2 months! in IS is still alive and make until now 68,95$. And i now that almost every one in here have similar experiences. So to my IS is a very good site.

my 0.2$ opinion ;)

« on: April 11, 2008, 10:17 »
231 since October 2007.  Sales have really slowed for me there.  I finally hit my first payout a couple of months ago.  I'm only 1/3 of the way to my second payout.

My experience is different, Since November last year i  manege to get pay every month. From times to times one of my pictures come to live and start to sell, that strange because they dont get any download for months and then.... they come alive  ;D
