I have just noticed today Acanvas digital picture frames, offered me by FineArtAmerica. And...The royalty rate is $0.00005 per minute per image.  After that you can read that this isn't a bad money - "That number looks very low, but it adds up quickly. Let's see how it works. There are roughly 43,200 minutes in an average month. If a buyer selects your image and displays it on his digital picture frame for the entire month, you would earn $0.00005 x 43,200 = $2.16 from that single device for that month. Now, if 100 different buyers did that, you would earn $216 for the month.   That's not an enormous number, but it's not too shabby, either.   Keep in mind, the Acanvas digital picture frame is being manufactured by a very well known electronics manufacturer (LG) who will be putting their full marketing might behind making this product a success and getting it into as many homes as possible. I think that FAA kills yourself with this product. What will be motive of buyer to buy a print when he can received for 2$ per month. Internet kills paper newspapers, the same begin to happen with our images. Digital future is as a low cost air plane company. Merry Christmas!

Shutterstock.com / Important question for EL in SS
« on: October 02, 2016, 14:11 »
If i set "No" for image sales in my account setting in SS, but I set Yes for EL's does it mean that SS will offer my image only as EL for sale? I just dont want to sell images in 33 cents

I checked my account in Shutterstock. Probably they have made changes. I cant find about EL option IN or OUT. Now SS asks How can we license your work. For EL and other options for sell you must answer YES or NO.

Your idea sounds good. However photographers have been lied by Leo and Symbiostock recently!!! You must give much more proves about your site.

Shutterstock.com / Problem with Shutterstock
« on: June 02, 2016, 15:02 »
I have earned above $100 in Shutterstock in May. Its 2nd June but the system not show $0.00. New earnings add to sum for May. Probably this is not normal.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Here we go: 500px eroding prices
« on: August 14, 2015, 06:42 »
There are many artists,  who have some images,  which aren't approved to 500px prime. This is the reason to think that these images will be moved to 500px prime as Core collection.

Does 500px say when, in which date,  we can see this two collections. If process of curating of our images is finished or just starts? By the way at this moment we have two collections at 500px. Better images go to 500prime, worse arent approved there. My doubts are that prime collection will be with higher prices,  the same as present.  Worse images, which aren't approved to prime will be moved there as Core collection  in low prices.

I began to contributing to Photocase. Their royalties look good- between 40 and 60 percent for contributors. How are the sales there.  Please share your experience?

Selling Stock Direct / Re: Do you recommend Symbiostock?
« on: May 09, 2015, 13:34 »
Yep, Symbiostock was a BIG waste of time. I am curious why Leo begin new project for illustrators. Is it the same plan to make a platform , to sell some theme and then to abandon the project? I had a symbiostock site, upgraded theme for nothing!

Adobe Stock / Did Fotolia sold stop?
« on: December 17, 2014, 19:06 »
My sold in Fotolia stopped after the news that Adobe buying photo marketplace Fotolia for $800M. Is it only my problem or really sold stopped there?

The most important change is to reject only bad pictures, not whole batch of submit images. All other agencies work in this order. Don't waste yours and our time, please!

Selling Stock Direct / Are u happy with PicFair?
« on: November 03, 2014, 12:12 »
I have been surprised by PicFair today. I received email: You have sold a pic.  My portfolio there is only 56 images and 3374 views. I signed up 2 months ago. Probably this is good result. I will receive my price till 1 moth. I would like to ask how was your October in PicFair? Are u happy with sales there?

Waste of time. Many contributors thinks that this site hide downloads. Result - no sales and many visitors.

General Stock Discussion / Shutterstock vs Istockphoto reviewers
« on: October 13, 2014, 10:46 »
Shutterstock's or Istock's reviewers are better. Which of the two teams gives a more professional assessment of your photos? In my opinion Shutterstock reviewers overdo with "out of focus" about images in focus. Please, share your opinions.
