I have the same as leaf, but then with Nikon. I could get a good deal for a Nikon D70, bought some lenses and stayed with Nikon

I think it's not strange thing to leave a company after you sold it. It's time to move on, start something new, develop yourself in new directions. If he feel times is there then go for it. He can be proud of himself that he builded such a big company, with a strong community around it.
I never met him in person, but think he is a great guy. So Bruce Good Luck and thanks for everything you've done for Istock

iStockPhoto.com / Istock down
« on: March 03, 2009, 21:20 »
I read on Nicolesy's facebook that Istockphoto is down:

RT @kkthompson: There is a phishing attack happening against iStockphoto. We've taken down the site as a precaution.

I hope it's not taking to long

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Nikon D3x -December 1st- (It's Official)
« on: December 01, 2008, 15:25 »
Maybe I will wait for that. I don't know.
Next week I go on a holiday to Chile, and taking my D300 with me. Still a good camera, specially for travelling. So for now I don't need another camera. After that I have to think about what I want for in the studio. But no rush, specially not for 8K.

I have been waiting for this camera, but now I have some serious doubts
De price for the Nikon D3x is really absurd. I just saw a price in the Netherlands at a normally very reaonable price store of 7.995, this is around $ 10.000 (http://www.fotokonijnenberg.nl/product/1384818/nikon_d3x_serie.html

This really can't be true.
I found the canon 5dII very attractive, but since I allready have a couple of Nikkor lenses, thought it would be better to wait, but with this kind of prices, I it's becoming more intresting to buy the Canon 5d, with some lenses for in the studio

They said in the forum that the're not using the API, just information of the WWW. So I don't think there is a violation.

If you see how fast the first 400 came into the list, then I assume they are well known at istock. So even without the list someone who wants to copy those top contributors can find them very easily.

It would indeed be nice to see who is exclusive or not. I allready asked in the forum, but the designers of the didn't react on it. Here the forumposts:

Canon / Re: Lens recommendations for a new Canon user
« on: October 14, 2008, 15:19 »
Are you really going over to Canon? I thought about it  too, because the 5dII seems like a really nice camera. But I have allready a couple of good Nikkor lenses, so I decided to wait for Nikon to come with a good fullframe with some more mp's. But I'm becoming a little bit impatient.

Nikon / Re: No interests at Nikon Cameras
« on: October 12, 2008, 06:09 »
I also use Nikon camera's. Now using the D300, but I'm waiting for Nikon to come with the D3x/D4. I would really love a full frame with more Megapixels.

46
That's a good thing. Thank you Lisa for noticing us here to the forum thread.

So sad. He always had some strange and on the other hand funny reactions on the forum. And then nothing. I thought he didn't want to come here anymore and then you hear this. Also my condolences to his family.

I think it's okey to put everybody in the group who gave his/her link here on MSG. Otherwise they wouldn't have given it here if it was some kind of secret. And if someone has a problem with it, you can always remove that person.

Is user Bittersweet really Bitter on Istock? I thought I read in another post that he's not, but maybe I didn;t understand it right
