FTP did stop working about 2 weeks ago but it was only down for a couple of days but since then I find if I upload SVG files and jpeg (not for the same file) only one type will appear i.e. all jpeg or all svg files.

So how many people are holding off on their uploads until the raise is announced? I hope their reviewers are ready for this :-)

I don't really understand the logic in holding off uploading because surely you will loose more sales than you will gain in rise by not having your images online...especially if other people have the same idea.

I am a bit sad but I listen to a few...working from home gives you lots of time. Formula one inside line, The now show, Russell Brand and Stephen Frys Podgrams

I second chode, 10000 images dont just appear in your portfolio. I have just over 2000 images and realise what a struggle it has been to get to that total. Yuri has 10000 quality images which is even more amazing and if he has cornered the market good luck to him. He is up there to be shot down by the next hot shot, if you work hard...maybe just maybe it could be you

Thats good news! We're experiencing whats already a BME (with a week of april still left!) for us, and credit sales are booming pushing up overall sales.

Great news, I have noticed my sales at Crestock are on an upward curve...keep up the good work.

New Sites - General / Re: What is ImageCatalogue?
« on: April 24, 2008, 12:56 »
although not a great seller for me only with only about $60 in sales. I do have a soft spot for them as when I first started out in stock they were very helpful. Also they have ftp unlike some other sites!

General Stock Discussion / Re: Why bother with photos
« on: April 24, 2008, 01:24 »
Do what makes you happy. Myself It's pure photography. I like using My eyes instead of a computer. But I assume it's all good in the long run.
I second this, weather you are doing stock as a hobby or a job if you don't enjoy what you are doing you will never produce your best work.

« on: April 19, 2008, 02:56 »
Is it just me or do they immediately review images that you submit on friday. This happened to me two weeks in a row now. I submitted some images before I went to bed, when I woke up they were already accepted. So much about being fresh on monday  ::)

I must have my account tagged review on Friday because it dosent seam to matter what day I submit my images they get reviewed Friday! Out of the last 9 batches only 1 wasn't reviewed Friday!!!!!

Adobe Stock / Re: problem upload vector image
« on: April 11, 2008, 03:43 »
SVG upload on fotolia can be a bit flaky! The files have to be under 1mb. The best way I find to get a small file is by "save for web".

Have you checked that the design you have made is within the page area, this will cause the file to appear blank or if the design is small within the page area.

« on: March 27, 2008, 08:42 »
This week is soo slow I am getting just over weekend totals! I guess people have taken the whole week off. The other problem I have is that it dosen't seem to matter when I upload my image they get reviewed thursday night friday morning so they are live saturday and off the radar by monday! its happened the last 3 or 4 times!

General Stock Discussion / Re: stockphotospot affairs
« on: March 27, 2008, 03:25 »
I was caught out by stockphotospot too when I first began my road on stock photography. I was lured in by the payment on upload, although it was a small amount they pay per image I thought at least it was more than I was getting for my images sitting on my hard disk. I should have known better!
