General Photography Discussion / Selling Direct

Currently I shoot and licence images for microstock and sell fine art prints of local interest landscapes and seascapes. Microstock sales are okay with all things considered and my fine art prints sell okay through local galleries. I would like to increase my fine art print sales via the interweb and I'm looking for an 'all in one' solution that takes care of sales, printing and delivery. Marketing would be great also, but I guess this is something I would have to do myself, unless anyone knows differently.

Any info/experience you can share would be more than welcome.

I'm not really looking for anything like Red Bubble or ImageKind but something more along the lines of services on offer by The Image File http://www.theimagefile.co.uk/

Lastly, I have a few images on Flickr (I know, I know) I would greatly appreciate very honest feedback if you have the time to have a look http://www.flickr.com/photos/toastieman/

How do I find out the stats for an individual images at Fololia. I'm trying to find my highest earning images there, how many DLs, how many $$ it's earned etc. Thanks in advance.

StockXpert.com / StockXpert Subscription Sales - Whats your experience?

My $ revenue has been in free fall at StockXpert since Nov '07. It appears to be subscription sales eating away at credit sales. This month has been the worst:

Feb '08 subscription DLs = 45.8% of total DLs
Jan '08 subscription DLs = 21.6% of total DLs
Dec '07 subscription DLs = 20.1% of total DLs
Nov '07 subscription DLs = 16.7% of total DLs
Oct '07 subscription DLs = 2.8% of total DLs

I decided not to opt out of subscriptions when they were introduced, now I am having second thoughts.

What has been your experience?
Has anyone seen a decline in revenue after opting out?

Cameras / Lenses / Macro Lens Choice

I have a limited budget and I need a good macro lens for stock photography. I am considering buying a used lens from ebay. Does anyone have any experience with any of these lenses? I have a Nikon D80.

Tokina AT-X 100mm PRO D F2.8 MACRO

Tamron AF SP 90mm f2.8 Di MACRO

Sigma MACRO 105mm f/2.8 EX DG

Assuming they will all sell for similar money, which one will give me more bang for my buck. The Tokina seller is local to me, so I can collect and minimize the risk of being ripped off.

General Stock Discussion / Record Keeping of Stats

I have been submitting to microstock agencies for over a year and as yet I have not kept any records.

2008 marks the year that I get serious with my photography, stock in particular and I wish to keep accurate records both for me and the tax man.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to the best way to do this. I would like it to be software based and be able to track progress for individual agencies and again for all agencies together. I understand that Excel is the way to go, but where do you start?

Any info would be very much appreciated as I'm a bit clueless when it comes to this type of thing. Thanks.

I haven't been able to login to IS for about 36 hours, just keeps timing out. Tried on two different machines and browsers. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks.
