Yes, I know what they say.

I'm saying that doesn't work with my name.

Okay, just trying to help.

If you are looking to see if your stuff is at ThinkStock you need to use your real full name in single quotes.

'John Smith' not "John Smith"

Not so for me.

Mine only works if I enter "firstname  lastname" in double quotes (") and with TWO spaces between the names...

Single quotes work for me, double quotes don't. Here is part of the message from StockXpert:

As an StockXpert contributor who is opted-in to subscriptions, some of your content has been migrated to Thinkstock.com. You can find your content on Thinkstock by searching for your first and last name in single quotes: 'John Doe'. Please note that the migration is still ongoing and will take some more time to complete. If don't see your opted-in files, be patient they will show up eventually. StockXpert content will show up as the Hemera Collection.
See Thinkstock here: http://www.thinkstock.com .

I've really got better things to do with my time than try and figure out this f__ked up mess. SO here's the deal for me

I found 4 of my images on Thinkstock. They are all from StockXpert, they are all vectors, and they all just happen to be Valentines Day images. Bizarre. They are all marked "Hermana Collection" or whatever that new group is.

Whatever they do, they do. Thankfully I've got some other lucrative irons in the fire right now.

Same deal for me too.

I guess it's not all doom and gloom.  A buyer is not simply going to stop buying photos because StockXpert is gone.  He/she will find another source, most likely ISP since the StockXpert site will route there.  So the challenge for me and many others is to get all the photos I had on StockXpert onto ISP as quickly as possible (I actually started last Sept anticipating this day would come), but with the upload limits and very picky reviewers, that's no small feat.

But will buyers go to IS?

81
I have loads of sales today, people don't like your stuff any more.

Just kidding, no sales for me either, but that's not unusuale.

82
Looks awful. I don't see anything positive for contributors coming from this.

You are right. Microstock (or should that now read 'RF Stock') is not about contributors, it's about buyers.

83
It needs to be rethinkstock.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw it on the forum. I would like to say that they must be happy banging nails in their coffin, but no one will leave FT and FT will carry on as it always has, because they can.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Last day of the month

Worst month out of the last 24. $$ earnings are half of Dec '09.

Disclosure: I haven't uploaded anything for over six months.

No problem.

Overall in 2009 I saw a huge decline over 2008.  My worst month in 2008 was the same as my best in 2009.  :(

I can echo the same experience. Sorry to clip your whole post.

EDITED
I'm not so sure any more StockXpert will be phased out by Getty. We all thought so last year, but perhaps they found out too that Peter Hanza (the original coder of StockXpert) is making a new site very deep under the radar.

Whenever Mr. Hanza has his new site, I hope he will come in to recruit and announce it here. I for one wants to be there, as StockXpert was my best earner right from the start.

I'll be in the queue behind you. StockXpert has always been a favourite of mine, still doing okay there, but not as good as pre Jupiter & Getty days.

StockXpert.com / Re: StockXpert payment schedule
« on: January 22, 2010, 11:51 »
So if I make a request Friday morning, the 22nd, at lets say 8am, I am going to get a paypal payout that same day? That doesn't seem like something these places can do that fast. I hope you are right.

Seb posted after my question.

So if we request payment by 9am this Friday, we will receive our Paypal payment this Friday, the very same day? I hope that's true, that would rock.

Thanks for the response Seb. I assume then that there isn't a week delay like at Istock?

That would be great :)

According to my iStock sources, this is how they plan to pay. Good for you guys that you don't have to wait.

I can confirm that this is correct. I made a payment request today about 10:00 GMT and have just had the funds paid to my paypal account. Smooth.

No, no guys, you are missing the point, did you not read this bit;

you could make $200-$2,000 a week taking snap shots in your own backyard

See, I've been trying to do it in a studio with props and stuff. Do you accept american express?

I just saw Peter's announcement in the other (locked) thread.

Peter, if you are reading, I just wanted to thank you for creating a wonderful site and for letting us know what is going on with it now.  It is easier to make decisions when we have the facts.

Wishing you and the other Haap Media partners all the best in your new projects.  :)

Ditto. Thanks for StockXpert, it was my favourite and the most fair site.

I've emailed Jamie several times since Dennis brought this site to our attention, no reply, nothing, nada, not even a polite rejection note.

To paying Customers and the artist gets commission, what is free in that?

The problem with providing images for blogs is not that bloggers are so tight and will not pay-per-download, the problem is the credit packages, subscriptions and delivery method.

Modify the plug-in with, 'non site registration', PayPal IPN, limited use licence, and browser downloads without visiting the website, and you will get good paying customers $1-$4 a pop, and all the other SEO benefits.

Your are right, micropayment agencies seem to have forgotten about micropayment.
