I thought I would check my 123RF account when I read this. I use Stock Submitter as an App, but then upload via Microstock Plus to the supported sites (which include 123RF). All my recent uploads are showing up in my portfolio so M+ must have been submitting them.

I use the SS app. I have never tried M+.  How does it work and what are the fees?

StockSubmitter is uploading photos and vectors via their website by default.
You can enable the FTP mode in settings (Manage agencies -> Shutterstock)

Switching to Forced FTP did the trick and I was able to upload all my images.  But now I have a new problem.  For the last week, I have not been able to submit images to 123RF.  The images are uploaded and the listed as READY, but when I try to submit, it goes through the whole process and ends without submitting any.  I have only submitted five pictures with SS to 123RF in the last 30 days, so I have not reached the 33 limit.  No error is given either.

Does it show a Timeout error afterwards in the "Errors" button?
If so, please try increasing the FTP timeout in settings.

I upped the FTP timeout to 120.  No good.  I also downloaded Xpiks and used it to upload to Shutterstock with no issues.  So, logically, since I can upload to any other agencies with SS, the issue appears to be with the way SS talks to Shutterstock.

Thank you for that detailed response.  I do appreciate you taking the time to try to answer my concerns.  I hear what you are saying and I agree with you on much of it.  The thing that bothers me is that, I simply don't have any of these problems with any other program, just yours. But then again, yours is the only stock uploader app I have tried.  So, I guess I should try some others to see if they have all these problems too, then I would know that it is an industry level problem and not a programming issue.

I do have one question though.  I understand that browsers use cookies so that you do not have to log in and like a new user each time.  My question is, why don't you use cookies to accomplish the same thing?

This is a new problem.  I have changed nothing on my system form the last time I uploaded.  I never had a problem uploading to Shutterstock before, so I doubt that my antivirus is the problem here because the error does not occur while uploading to any other site. 

I am going to be honest here.  Please try to listen and not get offended.

It just seems from where I am setting that the Stocksubmitter program is lagging behind when it comes to internet security.  When I first started using it, I never had to reenter user names and passwords each time I launched the program.  Then Alamy started requiring me to re-login each time and pass a CAPTCHA images test (which is really irritating).  Then Shutterstock started doing the same thing.  Now Adobestock is doing it but even when properly completed, Adobestock is rejecting the authentication. It is a massive pain in the butt! 

Now, I can log into all of these websites from a browser with no problem, never having to reenter my login info or pass a CAPTCHA test, because these sites TRUST the browser security and recognize me as the same user.

So, the question is, why are these sites not trusting a connect from Stocksubmitter and treating each contact as a new login, instead of recognizing that it is the same user from last time?

Now, don't get me wrong. I appreciate your program and it is extremely helpful, but I find it concerning that at every turn, you are being flagged by every security system on the internet.  Your website gets flagged, and your program cannot be installed without having to bypass Windows Security.  I have dealt with utterly thousands of apps and programs and yours is the ONLY one that I have ever had to do that. I would be remiss if I did not question why you are having such a hard time with the standard security protocols everyone else seems to have no issues with.  And it does not seem to bother you, which bothers me and begs me to question more.

Again, I appreciate you and your program, but I would like to see you spend a little effort on compliance with security.  Your site is flagged, Windows flags your program, and Stocks sites increasingly do not trust connection from your program, requiring users to go through extensive security checks every time your program tries to connect to them.  It is time to start fixing these security issues, ASAP!

When uploading to Shutterstock I get a connection time out error.  I don;t get this error when uploading to adobestock, dreamstime, or 123RF.  The error only occurs with SS.

Canstock has a very short session life time now unfortunately.
Even if you log in in a normal browser it'll log you out automatically after an hour or two.
Hence the program has to ask you to pass the captcha as well.

Dude.  You really need to fix your site.  Your site is blacklisted at a scam site.  I can't even access it.

I have completed it a hundred times.  I said that already.  Why did you not read what I wrote?

I did. It's a common mistake to not complete the process correctly.
Before replying, I've tried to reproduce the issue but couldn't - authentication is being kept after authenticating once for me.
Could you record a video of the process and PM me?

Authentication is not beings saved for me.  I have to enter my username and password each time.  But, in truth, I am logged in to Adobe Stock and upload and submit even while the login screen keeps popping back up over and over again.  But I just noticed another problem.  I can't upload to Shutterstock.  It shows to be logged in, but when I try to upload, it shows to be uploading, but when finished, the file is not registered as having been uploaded and is listed at "Ready to upload".   I guess the whole program is messing up.  Send me a link to the latest version and I will try reinstalling to see if this fixes the problem.

I am not sure what happened, but when I launch SS now, I get unceasing login pop up windows for Adobe Stock.  No matter how many times I fill in the correct user name and password, it just comes back.  Please fix this.

Well, it started working tonight for no reason.  Guess whatever was wrong with the servers got fixed.

It's been a couple of weeks now that I cannot even launch the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  Nothing works. The program has become increasingly unstable of the past couple of months, with several functions stopping.  Is anyone else having these problems?

Upload only to the top 6 or 7 sites. The rest are clearly a waste of time.

Which ones would you consider to be the Top sites.  I am currently with Shutterstock, Dreamstime, 123RF, and Adobestock.  If had to choose two more, which would be the ones you would recommend?

So I am wondering if it is a good or bad thing to upload all the same images to several agencies?

Yesterday the QuickMeta function started giving me the "ParseError" again.  I have restarted the program and restarted the computer, but it is still giving me the error.  I can still use it though if I uncheck IMAGE and check VIDEO.  Then it works normally.  It only gives the error is I try to do a search for Image keywords.

Okay.  Since I could not get the legacy version to work, I decided to try the New version again.  After an uninstall of the old version and PC clean up, I downloaded the New version and installed it.  Of course, I had to get past the windows "Invalid Certificate" warning (you really need to fix this.  Security is important these day). 

Upon launching the fresh install of the new version, it downloaded the 425 program differences. It came up to the login screen and already had my account information prefilled in the fields.  So this means that the program is storing this information on my PC somewhere that it is not deleted when you uninstall the old program.  I ran a feel system cleanup cleaning all catches and histories before installing the program, so that is not where this information is stored either.  I also ran a registry cleanup and fixed all errors, so it is not stored in the registry where Ccleaner can find it.

 So, I clicked on the, "Start Without Registration" option.  I was then presented with the "Master Password" window.  I typed in "RESET" and clicked OK.  The program launched.  I closed the program and restarted it. 

The program launched, this time the login boxes were empty and "Start Without Registration" was selected.  I clicked OK.  The program started without asking for the Master Password.  I tried to restore a backup I made with the NEW version I made on 06/09/2019, before I uninstalled it to install the legacy version.  This backup included all of the login information for the agencies I have accounts with.  The program closed and did not restart. 

I manually restarted the program.  My correct information was prefilled on the login screen.  I logged in with my account.  I was asked for the master password.  I entered it and logged in. No agency or any other information was restored. 

I entered my Shutterstock account information in under Settings/Agency' Setting and clicked saved.  I selected the checkbox next to Shutterstock under SUBMIT, and clicked the submit button.  That brought up the Shutterstock Captcha, which I completed and click okay.  The processed finished but did not import my earnings total from my shutterstock account.

I closed the program and restarted.  Upon restart, my shutterstock account information was gone and the program was back to like a fresh install.



Okay.  This is not good.  I am working my butt off trying to get this dang program to work and it refuses to work, no matter what I try.  Getting very frustrated here.  I am spending more time trying work out problems with your program then if I was uploading pictures manually.  It is costing me time and money (loss of earnings).

How do I disable the master password?

No such button exist that I can find.  Can you give me a screenshot of it?

It's on the Features tab.
If there is no such button then you've probably restored a worker configuration archive previously.
In this case there is no way to disable it and you need to get a new worker configuration archive from the person who gave you the previous one.

None of what you said here is true in my case.  I don't work with anyone else, so I don't have a "Worker" configuration. Mine is a full backup.  There is no button under "Features" tab. The features tab is blank except for "Autosave".

This is a brand new installation of the Legacy version, to which I am trying to restore a full backup that was made on the Legacy version that was "Working" on this computer BEFORE I tried to upgrade to the new version.  After weeks of trying to get the New version working without success, I uninstalled the New version, did a complete computer and registry clean up and installed the Legacy version, and tried to restore the backup I made before I upgraded.  The restore process does nothing or it fails with an error.  I did have a master password set on the original installation that I made the backup with.  Earlier on this thread, you told me that I needed to turn the Master Password function off before restoring.  But that option is not available to me.


I know you are trying to help, but at this point, NOTHING is working and I am completely unable to use the program for any purpose. I do appreciate your willingness to respond and try to help, but everything you have said so far about my problem has been inaccurate and has not helped me at all.  The program appears to be doing things that not even you understand and that gives me very little encouragement to continue using it.

The program is still not working for me at all.  I did a complete uninstall and even did a registry clean and trash dump.  I downloaded the new program from SS and installed it.  It refuses to restore my backup and just gives me this error (see attached screenshot).  This has been going on for a while now.  I have tried and tried and nothing works.  SOooo Glitchy.  I tried the new online service but got the "We are not excepting new registrations).

The new version has currently issues with restoring backups, you can install the old one, restore the backup and then install the new one.


As of Microstock.Plus - you can PM me your registration e-mail so I can activate the access for you, it's some kind of invite-only system at the moment due to huge amount of those who want to get access.



Already tried installing the Legacy version and restoring a backup I created with the legacy version.  No Joy! I get the exact error as the screenshot above.  I should have NEVER tried to upgrade!  It has been a nightmare ever since. 

Can I offer you a bit of friendly advice? Never push your customers to upgrade until you have worked out all the kinks with the new version and make sure it is running smoothly.  The only reason I upgraded was because of that threatening warning I got that said that the version I was using was no longer supported.  You should have never put that warning out, with the new version in shambles like it is. It has been a huge headache for a lot of us.  It would have been fine if everything worked, but it doe snot, and you know that it does not and did it anyway.  Not cool.
