Shutterstock.com / Re: How are sales going?- Shutterstock
« on: November 09, 2013, 09:02 »
On Shutterstock with nearly 3k images; October,  7th consecutive BME, passed 100 sales in one day and passed $1500 (just SS). I've been uploading steadily, nothing crazy but SS is out performing on growth all other sites. Good start to November but am expecting less sales for the next two months. I feel that SS has taken sales from other sites, however total year on year sales are significantly good. I can't complain, head down and keep uploading is my plan. Good luck to us all!

So you're the guy I've always heard about trying to sell the Brooklyn Bridge.

I'll make you a very nice price  8) lol

When my picture of the Brooklyn Bridge was flagged for the keywords 'Brooklyn Bridge' I responded immediately, needless to say I never got a reply and no keywords were removed. Perhaps I should have sent them an airline ticket to New York and arranged a tour of the famous landmark!  ;)

My positive action of the day was making it in and out of B&H Photo this morning having only spent $200! Oh boy that place is a dangerous when you are carrying credit cards. On a side note it was an extremely busy day for them as they will be closed for Passover, they coped admirably! Well done B&H!!

I recently got $75 from a $150 DL, a nice discovery after nothing in months.

Wishful thinking....could they be clearing their books of sales not reported throughout the year by some error. My sales were so poor since they took over and I would have expected more. Again, just wishfully thinking

Unfortunately there is a pattern of repetition. For me its a pattern of 88 image downloads being repeated over and over. So I know that my true figure is $22 not $286. Take your total and divide by 13 and that will most likely be what your correct sales total will be.

Oh cool, another $50 added in last 30 mins! I wonder if I can get 20 payouts today! ;-) Yes its got to be a glitch!

741 ($185.25) downloads posted today, normally less than $20 per month! Either a glitch or Christmas come early!

Been picking up for me as well. 3 RF sales in the last week. Not huge commissions, but still good ones. Its encouraging, most of my sales there are RF.

I believe that reviewers need to be exclusive at Dreamstime and iSock. The rest of the main sites allow submitting elsewhere.

Veer / Re: Veer Dash for Cash
« on: August 21, 2010, 16:21 »
So, payouts for the Dash for Cash program are supposed to be made no later than September 15th. Coming up quickly?

I know someone mentioned this in another thread...when this program started, I got a weekly email update on my balance. That quit coming a month or so ago. Has anyone here gotten any update in the last couple of weeks?

Weekly updates have stopped for me also. I didn't even get an update email when they reviewed my last batch of images.

I don't know if there has been too much dashing for cash and they have run out of 'dash cash' but they have just trashed most of my images, good sellers across the other sites. Balderdash I say!

They seem to have selected the same rejection reason for large batches, such as a load of my model shots get "Model's pose and/or expression appear awkward or forced. We prefer to see more natural, authentic body language." Which includes a picture of St.Pauls Cathedral!! Groan.....

If we are losing year end payouts, it would be nice if the minimum payout would be dropped to $50 minimum. The more frequent payouts would be evenly spread out over the year so I can't imagine that it would over stress the payments dept. This would help encourage the submitters with smaller portfolios.

« on: May 25, 2010, 07:27 »
Last month a BME. This month will be even better, helped with a $50 commission on an editorial EL. I like the direction 123RF is going....up. :-)

drat, i just had 35 approved minutes ago. i wonder if they're included or they tried to rush them through before the promotion? fingers crossed.

I hope so for you :-)
I submitted 100 on Sunday, they are still pending, hopefully they will be included in this promotion!!??

A bit off topic but important.

I just went to StockXpert to check something and I was logged in as someone else. I could also access their images and everything. what?

This happened to me to, I was directed into someone else's account with full access to their personal information! I sent a not to support.

Thanks Hugo! :-)
I'm not that stupid as I sound here, and you know now where that buyer of your red haired family came from. I was a bargain at DT! Let me guess, IS rejected it for "feathering"? Lol...  ;D

LOL - I didn't even bother sending it IS......
A new MR for every shoot is too cumbersome, or is it every 3rd minute of a shoot?  ;)
Thanks for the purchase Hugo, maybe someday I can return the favor! ;D

Last month was a BME and this month will also be good, maybe better. Definitely on the rise for me.
Amazing. I'll never grab the search engines of all these sites, I guess. Great portfolio!

Thanks Hugo! :-)
