My earnings in April 2010 are 30% lower than in April 2009, even thought my portfolio is 40% larger (now up to about 800). ... Not only are there a larger proportion of sub sales at low prices, but the total number of pics sold is getting weaker. +1
Income down 63% April 2010 vs April 2009. Removed EL sale (adds statistical noise by infrequency) down 54%. RPD down from 1.67$ to 0.94$. DT has been many years my nr.2, well in front of IS. This month DT will be at the same income level as IS (with 2x the RPI), also due to growth on IS and a higher RPD (1.14$).
My stats are almost identical...the last 2 months have been back-to-back WME's...

I have to be honest I was not that impressed. I guess It's not my type of a gadget. I would rather buy a laptop for the same money. At least laptop can burn DVD's. Regarding eBooks, I think Kindle is perfect. Battery lasts several days, the screen looks like a paper (it doesn't radiate the light, it reflects it, so you can read all day long), it has wifi, it has a dictionary and free Internet provided by Amazon in more than 100 countries.
Tend to agree...it's easy to use but does not displace anything that i already have. That said, I think it will be a hit with the kids.

As a web designer by trade, I'm not a big fan of the "templated" layouts. However, for what you're doing, it looks fine....easy to navigate, attractive colors, nice sharp images of the dishes. A "4 out of 5"...you should be safe through next week's voting on Website Idol

i'm afraid LV will lose the lawsuit as there's no LV logo in the Hyundai ad.
This is exactly the stand they will take and likely win.

(And for what it's worth, people who completely hide behind a screen name with no links to blogs/portfolios etc. annoy me a well, but I'm over it...)
I second that!

@LSD: We've tried logging in on several intervals today but it seems to be all fine. Are you still facing issues?
Yup..still the same problem. Heres what I do. I go to 123rf.com. Then I click Earnings. After a slow loading time it has me log in. After that I get this message... Not Found The requested URL /submit/commission.php was not found on this server.
same here...when you get the error, click your "back" browser button twice, then click "earnings" again...there, now doesn't that simplify things !

diversity is the key to success but from my experience, "people" shots move better than my "object" or "location" images.

Also FT dislikes sensual nudity. and genitals, even in art non-sensual images (although they claim that it's not true)
Every image with genitals visible is immediately rejected for "Moral standards"
i havent found that to be true -- several of my khajuraho images have been accepted at FT, for example

maybe it's the captioning? i keep the caption PG rated, but include more specific keywords
I'm talking about live people
That's too funny! It's not just nudes...if there's too much flesh or even a suggestive theme, the ejector seat button is pushed.

I have to use both platforms for work (unrelated to microstock), and truly Mac OS X freezes and crashes just like the rest of them. As for a little awkward user interface, eventually you get accustomed to it. It's simply a little different from a PC.
Same story here...have no real preference for either. One "positive" thing regarding Apple doing better is that competition is good for the consumer....and regarding the tricycle vs. crotch-rocket (from photo above)?...i'll take the speed maching ANY day cuz it makes me feel DAM3D sexy!!!!!!!

Looking for the best place to sell nude, not whether or not to sell nudes. Not microstock, since what product or service could nudes promote? Probably RM is much better for this kind of content.
Come on! There are many products and services (which have nothing to do with prostitution) which could be promoted with a nude image.
Shutterpoint unfortunately seems to attract a lot of buyers for nude, even porn in fact.
Unfortunately? Why? It's just another niche in the photography business. And... Porn? I've never seen porn in SS.
Agreed: My best success has been istock where i've had some decent EL's (4 on the same image). Shutterstock will be volume but no "good-bye-mr.-spaldings". The images that i've been able to track down were used in "dance" clubs in L.A. and Berlin (as well as smaller venues elsewhere), Hedonism II has become my best clients. And depending on whether you're just shooting "nudes" or you shoot them in interesting locations, the later has gotten me some of those erotic romance novel covers : )

But I am not sure which of the low earning sites I should choose. None. I canceled them both. Veer had a very weird/accept policy and YAY doesn't sell at all. Use that spare time to shoot or enjoy life.
As to the poll: you forgot option 3: neither.
option3/B: mow the yard...you'll get a better return

Isn't it interesting that some of us wouldn't have uploaded this pic for that reason, but it makes no difference to the buyers? I bet iStock would have rejected it.
yeah....well i guess if yuri uploads something, it's accepted easily. the reviewers are still human beings after all. which is not bad, he's doing well.
i especially like the guy on the far right, whom based upon his reflection, is actually hovering about 1 1/2 ft off of the floor ...but in Yuri's defense, i'll bet you a $ that Yuri never saw that prior to upload...it was done by the caged-and-tortured-minions in his basement...they have to upload "X" number of images per day or he simply will not feed them Merry Christmas!
