Yes I had some of those supposedly a bulk deal from China I wrote to Alamy and they said it was a long developing project or some such. I am pissed off they let customers use our product without recompense until months later 431

If a horse was as lame as 123rf they'd shoot it and put it out of its misery

Shutterstock.com / Re: Is this January especially low for you?« on: January 28, 2020, 17:19 »
Unless a miracle happens SS will finally be at number two position instead of one.
January sales qty is as usual however revenue has dropped 50% and is the lowest now since 2014 due to the lack of ODD's & SOD's 436
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock suspicious accounts "wackamoles" update« on: January 28, 2020, 14:11 »How SS accepted these without a (legitimate) press pass is beyond me. How shutterstock went from a decent agency to an outfit that can't control jack sh*t is also beyond me 437
General Stock Discussion / Re: Is ITIN required for tax treaty benefits in foreign country ?« on: January 28, 2020, 04:03 »without ITIN some agencies really took 30% of US sales few years back Which agencies? Do clarify. As I said above you don't need an ITIN if you are a foreign contributor. Just complete the W-8BEN form and so long as your country has a tax treaty with the USA you'll be subject to that. 438
General Stock Discussion / Re: Is ITIN required for tax treaty benefits in foreign country ?« on: January 27, 2020, 17:49 »Hello, If you are completing a W-8BEN tax form then no you do not need an ITIN you merely use your local tax identification number like a national insurance number or similar in the Foreign tax identifying number (box number 6) Most of the agencies like Shutterstock and Adobe Dreamstime etc allow you to complete your details using their online tax forms. Those forms do not require an ITIN. You mentioned "When I started, I needed ITIN number to claim tax treaty benefits" however I would say you were incorrect and never needed an ITIN unless of course if you were residing in the USA at the time. 439

General Stock Discussion / Re: Steven Heap( Premium Content) Only.« on: January 27, 2020, 04:29 »oscarcwilliams, do you give away your work? Why don't you upload your entire portfolio to free sites? Surely it serves as inspiration for many others. Or you may want to charge some money for your work. Just maybe. Steve is entitled to do anything he likes with the data and advice he puts on his blog. You won't pay then good for you ~ perhaps you could write your own blog giving advice for free? Then you'll be a happy bunny 441
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock suspicious accounts "wackamoles" update« on: January 27, 2020, 04:21 »Within 5 mins I spotted more than dozen thieves proliferating at SS... That usually means that they've been detected and their accounts are in the process of being deleted. Give it 24 to 48 hours they should be gone 442

Don't like it then don't pay ~ just don't keep expecting people like Steve to give advice for free to his competitors. 443
General Stock Discussion / Re: Steven Heap( Premium Content) Only.« on: January 26, 2020, 16:17 »
Steve puts a lot of effort into his work so he should be recompensed
Whats a few bucks to most people a mans time should be worth paying for just like a plumber, lawyer, doctor, etc 444

Its a simple process to click a keyword to make it a super tag.
I've just checked and I can click a keyword to make it a super tag, I am also able to add and remove keywords and change the description and it saves OK. Of course it does take up to 24 hours for their server to update the changes. I can't imagine what is wrong with your account/method 449

Clicked all over, I can't find out how? Anyone know? You can't you have to wait until the image goes thru QC if it passes then you have the option to delete it before it goes on sale |
