I had a $53 sale in July and an $84 sale in August but isn't so very odd that
when I get these higher value sales the overall sales value remains stuck at around $130 a month and never higher 79

Probably the usual glitch/screw up. 84
123RF / Ridiculous Refunds« on: July 13, 2022, 00:43 »
July 12th I had a refund of $0.252 for an image sold in June 2016!
6 Years ago! I thought Alamy were bad with their refund policy but this is ridiculous. What a shower of sh-it 85
General Stock Discussion / Re: This month's sales« on: July 12, 2022, 01:26 »10 days into the month, poll results still don't have any numbers for shutterstock - not to mention the other agencies. Are the numbers for shutterstock in general so bad that nobody posts them anymore? The poll results are there but you have to hover over the agency name to see them. If you are talking about the graph then July's results are shown in the following month (August) its always been that way. 86
Alamy.com / Re: Alamy Image Submission Fee« on: July 07, 2022, 01:48 »There are comments in the Alamy forum that this is a bug - an obsolete storage program that surfaced when they made the changes for the new 20% royalty rate July 1. Several people say they reported it, but perhaps the more reports the better? They might want to use it in the future when they run out of ways to reduce contributor earnings even further 87

Pond5 down drastically after SS Take over« on: June 19, 2022, 02:59 »Actually all this discussion of big 4 down to big 3 reminds me of those documentaries I used to see showing the waterhole on the African savannah steadily shrinking in summer and the wildlife getting more desparate as the water source slowly shrinks to a muddy puddle. The trouble is that invariably in the middle of the depleted muddy waterhole there's usually a crocodile waiting just under the surface too 91

I think we can safely say we are at the muddy puddle stage and the hyenas are circling with promises of more "exciting news" 93

Yeah of course....
Email received today "Were changing the way we share revenue from inactive Elements subscribers Hi there, We are announcing an important change to the way that we share revenue from some Elements subscribers. Until now, weve used 50% of the revenue from inactive Elements subscribers (subscribers who dont license any items in a given month) to fund different content creation programs and Author incentives. The most significant of these programs and incentives has been the Content Bonus. Weve recently been taking a closer look at how we can update our strategic focus. As part of this, we have reviewed these programs and have made the difficult decision to discontinue the Content Bonus and the sharing of revenue from inactive subscribers in this way. The Content Bonus was introduced to help support Authors in their decision to join Elements. It provided a boost to earnings and helped us grow our library by rewarding Authors who publish regularly. Now, 6 years on, we have over 5,000 Authors on Elements and our publishing rate has grown strongly over time. With over 10 million items, Envato Elements has one of the largest libraries of any unlimited creative content subscription service in the world. This success, driven by our talented Author community and the high quality content we feature on Elements, means we have more and more subscribers signing up every day. More subscribers equal more earnings for Elements Authors. In fact, the earnings we pay to our Elements Author community has more than doubled in the last 2 years alone. We believe funds previously provided for the Content Bonus are better invested in continuing to attract, retain, and grow even more subscribers. These investments will help to secure a strong future for Elements and ultimately benefit Authors by increasing the overall amount and flow of future earnings. We know that the Content Bonus represents a much anticipated component of many Authors incomes each month, so were providing as much notice as possible to allow you time to prepare for this change. The last payment of the Content Bonus will be in September 2022 (covering the July earning month). It is important to note that these changes do not impact our 50% subscriber share model. Our subscriber share model remains one of the most equitable and community-oriented in the industry. If you have any questions about this decision, head over to our forums and join the discussion here. Usual corporate bollox 98

There are no "haters" you deliberately seem to relish causing an argument. Considering noone bothered to respond to this thread in 5 days then you come along and try and re-ignite the thread with a self pitying diatribe. |
