That's what they said when "emails" started becoming a thing back when. Everything digital is going to be on some form of a block chain in a few years. It's inevitable, whether we like it or not. And like with any new technology, the people who benefit the most are early adopters.

Unfortunately we can no longer keep online images with Caucasian white people wearing American Indian attire (or any other type of native people). This is now considere cultural appropriation so images, even with children, need to be removed.

I think that's because there is a difference between selling photos with commercial licenses (featuring people or buildings) and publishing a video for free on a platform like Youtube.
Stock agencies need more restrictions to cover themselves legally when licensing photos. Most of what is published on YT is free for all and considered "fair use". Youtube does take down videos that violate copyright laws.

Maybe were not understanding the question. Do you have a client that you are working for who tells you to download an image and you isolate it and use it in a project for them?
Of course, uploading -anything- with -any part- of something copyrighted by some one else to a stock site is illegal.

Ok, how stupid is this? This image (and a few others): https://depositphotos.com/95429902/stock-photo-gymnast-cute-girl-balancing-on.htmlDue to child protection laws and internet watchdogs rules we can no longer keep such images online as they are considered inappropriate or interpretable. We are in the process of removing all such imagery from our online database. Thank you for your understanding.

I suspect that most of us "regulars" on this forum will keep shooting with the camera gear we already have, because there's no longer any financial incentive to upgrade.
I'm still using the 70-200mm I bought in 2006. Still amazing.
