General Stock Discussion / Re: How do you organize?
« on: November 30, 2007, 19:53 »
I submiting only on FL, and don't have problems with this kind of organisation. Has anyone tr to use prostockmaster (www.prostockmaster.com).

I was download free version and somethimes using it for generating keywords not for uploading.

General - Top Sites / Re: Upload Strategy?
« on: November 27, 2007, 04:56 »
Hi,

I have big portfolio on FL and for other I don't have time. Now around 4500 images and monthly near $700. All images are exclusive and I have 56% of profit. Not to bad... Probably ratio od revenue peer image will increse because I got much more bether equipment and images. In the future I will cancel exclusive to FL and try to make big portfolios on other stock sites. I wish to say that for me is not payable to cancel exclusive because I don't have much time to upload on all other sites.

Hope that I was help you, regards,
BA

Off Topic / Re: Domain Names. What's yours and why?
« on: November 05, 2007, 03:58 »
Domain name should be easy to remember and also it's smart to use this like brand name. So, I like stock photographer have my brandname and my wish is to remember my name  many people.

Much before stock I was choose this name  because my design and multimedia  background. When you choosing brand name or something like this fallow this simple steps:

- easy to remember
- easy to say
- not to long (5 characters max)
- have some meaning
- free domain name
- somewhere on beginning of alphabet (because of listing domains or users, it is  good if you are on first place. Another tip is to use some special character before name like -,.)
- everyday word (optional)
- international, mean same on all languages
etc, etc...

Here is one example of using special character and setting it before name. Because my brandname/nickname beginning with latter S I was put "." before name.

One more thing. If you wish to be successful in stock business look all this just like ordinary business. More and more I trying to, but I don't have much time.

So, good luck.

Lighting / Need step-down watt transformer advice
« on: October 25, 2007, 16:27 »
Hi,

my new and first lighting are just arive but it is for US power suply 110V and I need to convert europenan 220V to 110V.

On internet I was find some transformers and now wondering how much power I need to convert.

So, flashlights are 2x300w plus 2x150w for modeilng light and all this is 900W power. Are watt transformer 220V > 110V with 1000w enought for this lighting?

I wish to buy transformer from link below.

Lighting / Re: Cheap lighting sistem? $900-1000
« on: October 23, 2007, 14:12 »
Hi,

I was buy set with double Interfit 300w flash-heads, umbrelas, softboxes and etc...

Problem is that this flash-heads are maded for US electric power and it is 110/50v and european is 220/110v.
In local store I was find some electric transformator with 100w electric power. It is this enought and are this voltage safe for use?

Photo Critique / Re: Can someone look my portfolio?
« on: October 23, 2007, 13:27 »
Hi,

thans you all for yours critique, all images with problematic KW's are older than 1 yr and new images are keyworded regulary... FL don't allow changing KW and this is some kind of problem.

Regards,
BA

Hi,

from this point of view $0.40 is to much right now for me. I need keyworded images for Fotolia, and there order of keywords is mateher. Also, all of my images will not be acceptet on DT.

General Stock Discussion / Someone to help keywording images?
« on: October 15, 2007, 18:03 »
Hi,

I have thosands edited images redy for upload, but they are not keyworded and now finding best solution for improve and speed-up process.

One of those solutions is to pay someone to keywor my images. Method will be to send someone small images and they will keyword it and send back. Don't know how much is real price  for this job and have anyone some experience about this.

Additiona question is workflow, software and best practice for keywording.

I using microsoft photo info  for adding KW's to images, stockphotomaster for generating. Also, here is one tip. Search fotolia database for same subject, order by downloads and copy some of relevant KW's to my images. After all that import generated KW's from Microsoft Word  to iStock ImageManager for removing duplicate KW's

I need:
- offer for keywording 100 images
- advice about keywording software
- tips and advices to speed-up process
