Cameras / Lenses / Re: Noise reduction capacity
« on: October 12, 2007, 18:01 »
suggestions..

shoting:
- use tripod (if possible)
- reduce iso
- take images in raw
- set sharpness on "none" (later about this)
- saturation, tone compensation and etc "standard"

post procesing:
- develop .NEF (RAW) files with "nikon capture nx"... suggesting this software because adobe and all other raw processing software make big noise and wrong colors with nikon raw files.
- export two TIFF files from CNX. one with sharpnes what you chose and one with zero sharpnes. both images with same editing steps (WB, saturation and other...)
- import those two tif files (one sharpner and other with no shar or noise) in two layers in PS.
- after importing same images with diferent sharpness and noise options in two layers in PS delete areas with noise on images abowe and after that export final .JPG file.

You can try to use noise ninja or neat image for reduce noise but suggesting to use quick mask to select areas with noise or for sharpening.

If you wis I can send working capture nx 1.4 and nise ninja (last ver.)...

write me on e-mail... [email protected]

Regards,
Benis
