MicrostockSubmitter / < 7 title words - Bigstock
« on: August 24, 2018, 08:24 »
Suddenly I can't upload most of my files to Bigstock, as they mostly have less than 7 title words. I haven't had this problem before. Bigstock say they don't need titles at all. What is the problem, can anyone help?

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Sale failed to process
« on: August 06, 2013, 00:18 »
The good news was a sale of 3 large files for $42. The bad news was that after Paypal went through the cart disappeared! I had seen the user registration email and checked to see if there was a live cart - there was. But after the Paypal email came through, there was no cart and no purchase! Fortunately the customer was in NZ and rang up. We sent the files by email, I checked Paypal and the IPN message had been sent.

Just updated to WP 3.6 today, and everything had seemed OK... Any ideas?

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Paypal IPN Errors
« on: July 16, 2013, 18:49 »
We've just had an email from PayPal to say:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://photo.travelling-light.net/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/ipn/paypal_ipn.php

First, that domain and subdomain are out of date, although the address forwards to the correct PictureMojo address, and I can't find where that one comes from.

Second, the server PHP error log is showing errors like:

Code: [Select]
PHP Warning: require_once(/home1/xxxxxxxx/public_html/picturemojo/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/ipn/../wp-load.php) [<a href='function.require-once'>function.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home1/xxxxxxxx/public_html/picturemojo/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/ipn/paypal_ipn.php on line 3
PHP Fatal error: require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required '/home1/xxxxxxxx/public_html/picturemojo/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/ipn/../wp-load.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php:/usr/share/pear') in /home1/xxxxxxxx/public_html/picturemojo/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/ipn/paypal_ipn.php on line 3

and I'm not sure about the path in line 3 of paypal_ipn.php - doesn't look right above or in the source code. wp-load.php is in the WP root.

A test purchase from the sandbox worked perfectly. I have the return URL set to the one in Symbiostock  > Settings.

Any bright ideas?

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Customising emails
« on: June 28, 2013, 17:51 »
Has anyone been able to customise their 'Thank You' emails beyond the added text in Symbiostock > Settings ?

I've done some customising to the pre-header area in purchase_thank_you.html but it doesn't appear on the sent email. I want to put enough info on it to make it a legal GST Tax Invoice.

ETA:
Never mind, it's the welcome_template.html that needs to be modified! Next question, how do I make the extra 'Tax Invoice' header appear only on the 'Thank You' email?

Does anyone know what controls whether or not down arrows are shown in dropdowns to indicate submenus? They aren't showing in Image Categories on our main site at http://picturemojo.co.nz but they are at http://kiwistock.co.nz when both have Symbiostock 1.3.7 and identical child CSS sheets. Menu structures seem to be the same on both sites.

Symbiostock - Network Building / Change of Address
« on: April 17, 2013, 15:59 »
Just a note for those networked to us, our Symbio site has moved from http://photo.travelling-light.net to http://images.travelling-light.net, replacing our Photoshelter site. There's a redirect on the photo subdomain, but it would be better to use the new address.

Apologies for any oddities with our site over the next 24 hours or so.

Symbiostock - Technical Support / FTP Upload?
« on: March 27, 2013, 01:43 »
Hi Leo,
Is there any way to transfer files into the site by FTP and avoid the http uploader? We've got most of 20GB of files we could transfer from Photoshelter by FTP instead of wiping out our month's data allowance on uploading.

General Stock Discussion / Ambition Achieved At Last

Today I achieved something I've wanted to do for years.
I went out shopping, and when I came home, I'd earned more than I'd spent ;D

StockXpert.com / StockXpert Charge More Credits For XL Subs?
« on: March 25, 2008, 12:54 »
Just noticed this post from a buyer in the StockXpert forum:-

http://www.stockxpert.com/forum.phtml?f=showtopic&n=11342&p=2

It's the second post from buyer 776500. He seems to be saying that as a subs buyer,  he uses 5 times as many credits to download an XL, as he does when downloading a small, but we still get 30 cents.

I had a look at subs but couldn't see anything.

Is this correct? Maybe Steve-oh could confirm or deny.

Dreamstime.com / Are we just unlucky?
« on: January 14, 2008, 05:25 »
I've seen a few posts around where people say they get very few subscription DLs on Dreamstime.
I just went through our last 200 DL on DT, and we have 30% subscription. We don't have more DL than previously, and our total income isn't increasing. In fact, our best month was August, and it's been less and less every month since then.
I was wondering, are we just unlucky? Or are other people seeing similar?
If anyone has time to go through their last 100-200 DL and work out the percentage, I'd be really interested.
I have always hoped that DT would change their minds on subscription, but am now giving up hope.
Serban did say that the database was averaging about 10%, and I wonder if some people are getting a lot more than others.
Thanks! Linda
