123RF / Re: Insufficient Watermark« on: December 10, 2011, 13:23 »Was trying very hard to get a bit of momentum behind my drive to get them to give us better protection, but I think the 3 lone voices in the dark will still not move them to spend any time, money or effort in doing anything about it. It's another form of marketing... giving away, but actually not ... Patrick H. 30

Doesn't matter if you move it to the left, right, up, down... it's simply not accurate to mask the image.
Found several of my images used with watermark when i was a member of "123 give away". Patrick H. 32

Nikon / Re: Nikon RAW problem.Urgent help please!!« on: December 10, 2011, 08:31 »
I've had this problem too in the early day working with Nikon.
Got around it : - copy the file directly from card to hard drive (2x) (direct connection usb camera/computer) use copy paste in windows brower - open in photoshop or nikon view - if okay convert to tiff, iff okay save as 16 bit tiff and then continue to photoshop raw convertor. Hope this helps. Patrick H. 36

It's not our task to contact offending sites... we give our images to stock sites, they are responsible for use etc....
I had my share of problems with images of mine showing watermark. When contacting support no respons. About 2 months ago i deleted my portfolio on 123 as well. Patrick H. 41

Software - General / Re: Copy - Paste IPTC software?« on: November 20, 2011, 05:49 »
For what it is worth, i use Nikon View (browser) to copy title, description and keywords between images.
No problem between jpg and tiff and vice versa. I don't use it for keywording, just copy and pasting. Patrick 44

General Photography Discussion / Re: Any experience with X-rite Eye One to calibrate?« on: October 22, 2011, 21:22 »I should have done it a long time ago, but i just borrowed an X-rite Eye One colorimeter to calibrate my screen. (before it was set to imac's sRGB IEC61966 color profile).... i was prepared for 'some' difference, but holy shitters! Seriously... I get excellent result on my HP LP2475w in combination with the X-rite colorimeter and the Lacie blue eye pro software. Patrick. 48
