I would like to make $700 -1000 a month. But i am for the 5th month in $330-350 range even though the number of photos have doubled in 5 months. I dislike that dilution effect and now think that is less likely that I will meet my goal by the end of the year. Good thing, though, is that for the past 20 days I did not have time to shoot and upload I will still get my $300-$350 in May. I noticed that DT and IS are good investments, for SS one has to upload every week.

It was XL size sale

StockXpert.com / first $5 sale
« on: May 08, 2008, 14:01 »
I got my first $5 sale. I think we all deserve $5 per download. $5 is a very small amount. And I think that even LO owners made a profit ...

Am I the only one who thinks they are holding out to see how badly istock's new subscription plan hits them?

That is the only reason I can see for dragging their feet like this....

I think the same.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Make me want to be exclusive...
« on: April 25, 2008, 20:38 »
The only way I could ever consider going exclusive at IS is if they let you re-submit elsewhere those images which IS rejects as "not suitable for stock".

If those images are really unsuitable for stock, then why would IS care if I submit them elsewhere?
your idea if correct and fair, but it will be make exclusivity sort of second hand, thus less attractive for buyers.

1. LO
2. DT
3. FP
about LO I was right, I remove DT and BigStock. FP is the next candidate.

they have Exclusivity Estimator; have you guys run it ? I tried, but I do not have enough downloads yet ( 318)  for the estimator to run.  I am curious what promising answers the estimator gives out.

It would be nice if author's name appear at each heading in the thread, not just the first one. Also now when I click on the thread it does not automatically scroll down to the last message.

Will the real MIZ please step forward?

- The MIZ #1 - Photoshop expert who gets joy from doing nothing more than helping people with tips and tricks. The "I just want to help people out of the kindness of my heart" MIZ.

- The MIZ #2 - Ruthless basher who hurls condescending remarks in all directions including at people who need help. The "everybody but me is an idiot" MIZ.

Is it possible there are two different people accessing your computer posting here?

very nice, PaulieWalnuts. MIZ is a mixture of he MIZ #1 and The MIZ #2 and that will remain so to the delight of some and to the dismay of many. thanks, MIZ for your tips and humor.

NO ONE GIVES A CRAP.
How I feel every time I read another one of these angry, pointless posts.

@leaf - is it possible to add a feature so we can see who the original poster was (i.e. author).

yes, @leaf, please add a feature to see the the original poster.  that will make this forum even better.

when  recently something was broken in SS reviewing: that is too many begun complaining at the same time - it helped SS to fix things. Do you really think MIZ that baby who being flogged should remain silent? Are you so cruel MIZ?

Adobe Stock / Re: Thieves at fotolia

Good for Dreamstime!!!!!   Right on!!  8)=tom

Agree!  This is the kind of decisive action we need to protect our images from thieves.  Hopefully FT will follow suit and shut this guy down once and for all.

Unfortunately the reality is that the most Micro agencies will do is close the user account.  That's it.  It does not matter if the user is in Russia or US.  They simply don't have the resources to engage in a law suite.

I remember when someone hacked my Fotolia account, Fotolia told me that it was happening quite often and that they would not even do an investigation.

When my account was hacked at the same time with StockXpert, I don't think they ever tried to even contact moneybooker to have access to the hacker personal data and bank info...

That being said I agree, agencies should take it much more seriously and also be a little more proactive.

why your account was broken into at least twice? Was it a short password problem ? I wonder if we should change passwords more often.

so far they have not shared the fruits of their growth with me. Also I recall as some have touted the "visionary" approach of LO owner. All I know that IS and SS are doing quite well.
