Does anybody know an FTP uploader that let's me add keywords and description to an image? I was accepted by iStock today. I will see how it goes and maybe just work for them. I can't do that to copy and paste everything to 5 agencies.

You can use Stocksubmitter http://stocksubmitter.com/. You keyword your images once (you can also attach model releases and choose categories). You click upload once -and the program uploads and submits(!) the images to all the agencies you set up. No need to visit the agency websites at all. It works with most agencies (including iStock and Alamy). Upload is always free. Submitting is free for 33 files per month. You can buy more submits if you need them. If you sign up, it would be nice to give [email protected] as your referrer email.

Who are the other agencies where you found your clips under a different name? Id like to check if that goes for my images as well.

Thanks for the suggestions and advice given in this forum! Microstock Group members have been very helpful to craft this little guide book.
Then it should be free for MSG members, shouldnt it?

No FTP, no IPTC, no watermark.

Has anybody actually received a payment in March who was below the $100 threshold?

All Good here and BTW, a large upswing at DP is showing.
Depositphotos? I thought they were on the boycott list
Is there some actual boycott list? And does everyone who posts here have to follow it?. News to me.
The first rule of the boycott list is
In all honestly though it seems that deposit was one of the agencies that got a ton of hate from the group
FT got a lot of hate as well... Almost every agency got a lot of hate from the group at some stage. This has become avery negative group. Always makes me wonder why people bother with microstock at all if they hate it that much... _______________________________ FT is doing well by the way. I am not seeing a huge rise but clearly an upward trend.

Yes, you can share your photos and get comments and favs but there is also a marketplace which SELLS the files ... You don't need a HUGE preview image if you are just looking to share some photos...
They are NOT previews! They are the images users upload to the community! The marketplace is just an add on because 500px realized the sales potential of the community images. There is no way to upload to the marketplace directly/only. So if the community is not for you, 500px is not for you. Simple as that.

Giant previews with a useless corner water mark is why I do not upload to 500px.
Me too! I wonder how some photographers can sleep at night knowing their images are just screen captured and stolen so easily. It blows my mind.
It blows my mind how certain stock photographers cant get their head around the fact that 500px is - first and foremost - a photo SHARING community.

Thank you very much for your useful replies.
As I understand for now , the 2 main disadvantage of uploading my portfolio on 500px is :
1. The large preview with little watermark.
2. Very few sales
Am I right ?
No, youre wrong. BUT If you just want to upload microstock(y) images, there is no point of even trying.

1000+ images gave me only 6 sales in 2015.
Also, if you have a problem with large previews with insufficient water this is not the place for you.

That is weird. You'll need to contact CR and wait ...
I was wrong about Partner Portal (and have corrected my post above). I checked back all my green bar sales for the year (I get very few) and they all say Partner Program, so that must be G+. I don't see anything on my sales for the past year as Partner Portal, so don't know what that means. (I tried searching partner portal on the iS forum, but no answer; I see where I formed my mistaken impression.)
Thanks for your time anyway. I just discovered I'm not the first one asking about it: http://www.microstockgroup.com/istockphoto-com/partner-portal/msg410140/#msg410140

No, I've never been exclusive. And they all show up as green PP bars.

I've noticed several "Partner Portal: $0.19" sales aside from the usual Thinkstock and Getty360 reported as PP.
Getty 360 is now Getty Plus, and is reported as Partner Portal. Why do you think your sales aren't part of that?
Because some items are reported as "Getty Images" (Im not exclusive, so that has to be GettyPlus, right?) and some as "Partner Portal". 17/9/2015 Partner Portal: $0.19 1/9/2015 Thinkstock: $0.28 30/6/2015 Getty Images: $8.37 And Partner Portal always seems to be 0,19$.

+ Added pricing configuration window The window is available in Advanced metadata menu. It allows to set prices for GraphicRiver and Pond5 (it is planned to add other agencies allowing to set the price too). Default prices will be used if fields are left blank ("set the price for me" checkbox for Pond5; maximal recommended price for GraphicRiver).
Hi Dmitry, is it possible to move that option to the agencies setting? I would like to able to set my own default price, so I dont have to do it again and again for every new file.

I have 1400 images with Zoonar and barely make one payout per year.
I only keyword in English though... Roede-orm probably keywords in German, right?
@Michael: You say you translate keywords before sending the images to the partners. But you probably only add English keywords? Or do you translate from English to German as well?

Thats what support told me:
"I do apologize for that confusion there. My team has given me the latest, which is that since new agreements are not yet available on documents, images will remain exclusive to Getty. Again, sincerest apologies for that miscommunication there as this has been a recent update. Until further notice, please refer to the distribution agreements available on your Market Dashboard and consider images exclusive to Getty."

Why are you not on Fotolia? If you sign up for an european account youll get paid 1 for 1 Credit (as opposed to 1$ if you sign up via the US site). You can use my referral link: http://de.fotolia.com/partner/201206165

Personally I have some photos at 500px and some with other agencies. I've just figured out where each type of photo sells the best. Nuno, can you give us an insiders view of what type of image sells best on 500px? Is it "authentic stock" or "fine art"? Are isolations a no-go? Since you do have an app: Do mobile images sell?

I have been thinking of joining for a long time ... 500px is different from the usual microstock agencies, so I don't think "dumping" my whole portfolio would be a good move - or if I did, I don't think it would sell very well? What kind of selection should I submit? Only artsy stuff? Everything except "isolated on white" ? Any other limitations?
Very good questions

As usual, the devil is in the details. Is this going to be one of those shady deals where a distributor sells an image for big bucks and we get a sub sale amount?
Why not? They paid the subscriotion price they can resell for whatever they want. We get the sub. I don't like that but what can we do? We have no rights after the API buys the photo and can't dictate what they do with it or how much they sell for. We have no rights on any sale at other agencys either. It can go into a book, on a billboard, newspaper, front page cover of magazine. We get sub pay the buyer gets license value. No I don't like, just pointing out facts. Once buyer, buys we have no control. If they can resell we can't dictate prices.
No, youre not "just pointing out facts". An API cannot "buy the photo". Do you even know what an API is and how it works? And 500px doesnt offer subs.

But it was a bit naive to think that the ride will last forever.
It was VERY naive! I am always amazed how people (who consider themselves very experienced) could seriously expect their income to continue to rise "forever".
