To be exact the checkbox says:
"I allow users to use my media for free, even for commercial purposes, without further attribution or compensation to me"
For media submitted for Free License distribution:

I allow users to use my media for free, including for commercial purposes, without further attribution or fee to me.

Yes, "For media submitted for FREE (!!!) License distribution". Just don't submit to the free section. You can choose PREMIUM on the next page.

For what I see, if you send AI generated images in appropriate category, you are also forced to consent to give it away for free also for commercial use.
So, stay away from this agency

Well, you clearly can't see very well...

An up to date list:

https://upstock.guru/information/stock-sites-list-for-contributors.html

Well, Depositphotos states "Due to potential legal issues, we are not accepting this type of content.". So I don't know how accurate that list is...

[ I know that many people here feel strongly about AI generated images, but please keep that dicussion to the other existing threads. Thanks! ]

These are the agencies that explicitely accept AI generated images, as far as I know:
  • Adobe Stock
  • Dreamstime
  • Panthermedia

These are the agencies that explicitely do NOT accept AI generated images, as far as I know:
  • Shutterstock + Bigstock
  • iStock + Getty
  • Crushpixel
  • Depositphotos

If you know of any other agencies that made official announcements, please complete the list.

This means that all of your content which was selected for Extra Channels is now available on Freepik

No, it doesn't. Selected content only, same as other extra channels.

4 cents for what I assume to be Freepik sales.

No, that's Miricanvas.

Can't say I'm happy with this "additional opportunities". I avoided any unlimited/flat fee and shared revenue plan so far, but Wirestock decided to throw my stuff in.
They'd better made those agencies available as an extra selectable option, but I guess they don't want to do that because very few of us would opt-in.

So beware, if you're still using Wirestock and don't want your content on those agencies: don't select extra channels!
It's basically giving Wirestock the permission to do whatever they want with your content.

Than why did you opt in in the first place? That was very clear from the begining. Reading T&Cs and FAQs helps  ;)

For those of you who photograph a lot of backgrounds, textures and other design elements you might wanna give Designbundles a try. Despite the name you can upload single photos as well. Until August 31st there is a promotion and they pay you 10 Cent for every upload!

Referral link: https://designbundles.net/store-register?sref=NQFdTb

No, no, no. They are definitely not paying 10c an upload anymore. That expired 2 years ago.

Yes, yes, yes, they are.

I am currently looking at my DB dashboard and I cannot see it. I also checked their Designer Panel Updates, where I got the previous attachment from, and not there. Where did you get that screen print from?

I mean if its true that's great, but I cannot see it.

These are last few updates ..

Designer Panel Updates
Christmas In July
28 MAY 2022
Are you ready for Christmasin JULY?! 🎅🎄🔔🎉❄️

Were planning on running promotions for Christmas in July this year so if youve got Christmas designs waiting to be listed or you need some motivation to get designing, Christmas is a great place to turn your attention!

We will be sending super-prepared Christmas crafters to the site who we expect to go on to search for more Christmas and holiday designs! 🙌

If you havent started making Christmas designs, now is the time!

Scheduled Dashboard Downtime
26 APR 2022
This month, we are making some changes to our $1 deal event which will take place on Wednesday, April 27th!

Instead of having one event at 5pm BST, we are having several events which will take place at 5pm in the customers local time.

In order to lessen the load on our servers and to ensure that the site does not crash with the increased volume of customer traffic, we make the Designer Admin Panel unavailable during our events.

As we will be having events at different times around the globe, the traffic will be split up but there are certain times that we are expecting high traffic.

You can find a graphic showing the times on April 27th that we expect the Designer Admin Panel to be restricted here: https://fbcd.co/images/timezones_admin_panel_downtime.png

We will be keeping a close eye on traffic load on the site and will be allowing designer admin panel access whenever we are able to.

We thank you for your understanding and patience throughout this event. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out, we are always happy to help!

Designer Resources
22 FEB 2022

I did a quick check on what was eligible for nomination in my portfolio and I don't understand why items that have been downloaded within the last month and have lots of downloads are eligible.

Last time around, I thought it was only things that hadn't been downloaded in a certain amount of time that were eligible.

I'm not assuming; I checked several against my recent downloads list (by hand I would add; there are no ways to see downloads by date for a given image).

Have the rules for what assets can be included changed this time?

This is still the same Jo Ann. If a file was a top seller in the past 12 months it would not be eligible for nomination. In my account, I have some files eligible with hundreds of downloads in the lifetime of the image, but only a couple in the past year. The files that are eligible for nomination were determined last week, so it's likely there will be a few odd exceptions in which an image went on a download spree the past week and is still available for nomination. Please know that in those rare cases, when the nomination process is complete and the final selections are being made, those images will not be accepted. It's not in any of our best interest to pull content from the paid collection if it is trending towards consistent sales.

If you have a file or files, Jo Ann that seem to not align with what I just wrote, please send me an email with the specific file numbers and I'll look up their sales history to check them out.

Thank you,

Mat Hayward

Hi Mat,

several of my eligable files were only uploaded this year (2022), so they werent even online for 12 months... I dont remember that being the case last year. So, did the rules (4 or less sales withing the last 12 months) change after all?

No changes in the selection process that I am aware of. Do those new files have a large number of downloads?

-Mat Hayward

No, they have less than 4 downloads - but they are only online 5 months or less. I was under the impression that they needed to be online at least 1 year to be eligable.

Here is my experience with them:

I only signed up in mid February and uploaded 1000 photos, all as "pro", not in the free section. Sales started pretty much immediately. For the last 2 weeks of Feb. I made $2,54, for March $15,30.

Not much, but thats more than I make with larger portfolios on Bigstock, Canstock and the like. I think its a promising start.

If you want to try it out yourself, it would be nice if you use my referral link: https://www.vecteezy.com/contributors?ref=cd615833-b630-4c15-a417-6018c266c5c3&sub_id=default

I think the new agencies are based on unlimited downloads for fees between 5-20 dollars per month...

And which agencies are you referring to?  ;)

It seems the foundation of all newly started agencies, is to amass images from contributors then sell in bulk through the top agencies.

Which new agencies are you referring to?

« on: July 21, 2021, 05:36 »
So now everybody seems to get invited (me too). And there seems to be no lightbox anymore. I am assuming the whole portfolo goes into the program?

Can anybody who opted in earlier please share their income from the revenue share program?

I don't see any banner or way to nominate files on my dashboard. Am I missing something? Can anyone screencap what it looks like?

See this snippet from my Dashboard - if you don't have any photos, perhaps that's why you don't see this?

No I don't have photos, I thought it would also count for vectors/illustrations. Makes sense now, thanks!

Adobe has recently added a lot of new images to the free collection, including illustrations and vectors, so I'm not sure why they aren't allowing "regular" contributors to add content other than photos.

I've been tracking the size of the free collection and since June 1, 2021, it has grown by 46,421 (to 113,884) after staying pretty static around 77k to 78k since last October.

Illustrations had been stuck at 17 since the beginning, but it's now at 2,847, and vectors have grown by about 7k since June 1 (again having been largely unchanged since October). Videos have grown by 4k as well.

I can't find anything now, but I thought I remembered someone saying that the free section would be capped at 100,000 images. Clearly that's not the case, but if anyone has a link to something saying that, please share.

Perhaps Mat can give updated information on how big the Free section will get after June 23rd? And I assume there won't be any "old" free content dropping out - at the one year expiry - until October 2021, so this isn't about replacing the current collection as it is expiring.

I am only shown 73.636 free photos (from Germany)

42
Hi Mat,
will a regular customer see free content intermixed with the "standard" content within the search results?

43
As you know Adobe changed its market policy recently and preferred to present only best sellers' works to costumers from these countries while blocking all others.

No, I dont know. Was there any official announcement? When did the change take place?

(I did not notice any change in earnings.)

General Stock Discussion / Re: Selling Book Covers Blog Post
« on: November 01, 2020, 04:36 »
I have been following Alexs helpful posts about book covers with interest, thank you.

When you applied to archangel did you create a separate website for your portfolio or direct them to one of you micro portfolio like Alamy or adobe? Just for the application process.

How many images did you use?

Was a long time ago but from what I remember, I sent them a link to my Photoshelter website where I had/still have a lightbox of fine artsy type shots. Otherwise, Instagram could be a good option if you don't have your own website.

Highly recommend not to include any links to your port at microstock sites. Alamy stuff shouldn't be relevant for book cover market.

Good luck!

Hi Alex,

I was thinking the same thing, if it is wise to list your microstock portfolios... but in their application form they explicitly ask if you are with other agencies (and which). Did you use the application form or did you just send them an email?

Be sure to check their licenses, the basic one practically offers unlimited use. Otherwise they are developing well.

Thanks! Do you have experiences with them? Is the promised RPI real?

https://designbundles.net/store-register?sref=NQFdTb (referral link) is offering 20 Cent upload bonus per item in October, also for photos!

It seems to be similar to Creative Market. I just have signed up myself, so have no experience. But according to their welcome email:
"on average each product uploaded to our marketplace was worth $16.46 in yearly revenue in 2019."

Might be worth a try?

Canva / Re: Canva, what's the plan now?
« on: September 25, 2020, 02:15 »
Hi Danny,

why have you stopped displaying the number of subscription downloads? That makes it very intransparent and is probably the reason why contributors are sceptical.

49
Sales have slow down considerably. I suppose rising number of contributors equals smaller slice of the cake for the individual...

Last sale was March 31st.
