With 25000 lifestyle photos you consider $100/month on Alamy good?  :o

Just hit 500 today.

closer to $100 for me and its been steady month on month.

Who could have thought the $2 could stack up so nicely.

What does that mean? 20$/month? 100$/month?

For me its only $2 - $16, thats why I stopped uploading. How big is your portfolio?

Then its going really well for you! Care to share your portfolio link?
Do you sell mainly mobile images or "normal stock"?

New Sites - General / Re: Zoonar earnings?

My last direct sale via Zoonar was in 2012... And yes, clearance for the partner sites can take many months.

I understand. But has anyone made a sale in 2018?  Thanks.

14 downloads in 2018. BUT - as dino already mentioned - some of them are FREE downloads from other users.

They pride themselves for their "photocase style", so prepare yourself for a 90% rejection rate... 100% if you only upload microstock style images.

In other words, they try to only sell good photos?

No, its all very random. They pick what they like most and reject the rest. If the review queue gets to long... they clear it by rejecting everything. If you upload the rejected images again, its very likely that at least some get accepted. So its not about "objective" quality.

Why do you keep asking the same questions over and over again? You want other people to make the decisions for you?

If the missing watermark is a problem for you: Dont upload!

If you are onyl planning to upload typical micrsostock images you wont have much success anyway...

A web browser + Excel + 10 minutes a day
Several agencies and 8000 images ? No way.
I have 20 agencies an 16 000 images, and I do it.
The longer was to prepare the initial Excel spreadsheet, with all the agencies and various graphs. But this was one time for all some years ago.
Then an average of 5 minutes a day is absolutely enough to open 20 web pages and see the daily total for each day.
For other kind of calculations (RPD - RPI, etc.) I spend a little more time once or twice a month.

You obviously have no clue what those programs are actually doing... ::)

You know me, maybe?
No!
So Speak for you and not for the others!!

I perfectly know Microstockr, I use it on my smartphone since years, and I have also used the computer version for one year, participating to the debugging program
It is a nice program but, as with Excel I do the same thing, I don't want to pay all this money just for a nice (very nice in fact) interface.
And then Microstokr does not support half of the agencies I am with, so in any way I need an other solution (And I have it).

You obviously have no clue of what you are telling

All these programs give you the sales and earnings of each individual file - across all (supported) agencies. Not just daily totals... Good luck doing that with excel  ;)

So, whats the story now?

Their photo marketplace went live in September. I had one sale in October, 3 in November and nothing since... (1200 images online)

Anybody having regular photo sales?

Do you have a direct contract with getty images?

You cannot just sign up with them and upload, like with eyeem or alamy.

You need to apply and get accepted.

I applied and I was accepted by Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, Istock, Getty Images, Alamy and EyeEm. So I can upload to the agencies that I said.

No, you cant. Anything you upload to Getty is exclusive, you cant send it anywhere else.

And with 23 images in your portfolio you wont make more than a few cents anywhere. And neither with 365 self portraits.

I actually like this photo a lot. It not that typical, spectacular stock-style image, just a simple shot of a moment. But looking at it really gives me nice, familiar feelings of walking in the fields in winter on an overcast day. Such calmness, cold and space. Now i really started to look forward for these times of the year. I can almost feel the winter smell of this kind of surrounding.
But I don't think it will sell-well :D.  Which is a pity. I'd prefer thing like anywhere instead of smiling people

That image is by Dumc. And I think its "at least as bad" as the one he pointed out. Dumc could defend his image, the other guy can not (because he doesnt know about it being posted here). I think its bad form to post other contributors images and putting them down.

What a brilliant way to plump up Offset, too. Clients have been complaining about the lack of choice. Get photographers to submit their best work to fictitious assignments, buy the copyright from them for $12. Now those images have to be removed from all other sites because SS owns the copyright. SS puts the best of the best on Offset and the rest on SS, and they're now branded the exclusive Offset or Shutterstock collection, and they always appear at the top of page 1 in any search.

Look how many of you were invited to submit photos for one location in Germany.

I actually live in that exact location. But I still have no intention in selling the rights for $50/4 images. I just signed up to see for myself what they have to offer.

Just to get the facts straight:
You sell the rights to the client - not to SS.
The website was just rebranded and has been around for a while as Flashstock. So its not a new scheme SS came up with.

Just got a request so have something concrete rather than speculation $12.50 each for four images.....but very run of the mill  location based. If I happened to live near its something I could do in minutes and probably incorporate into a wider shoot. If they didn't sell they wouldn't identify the brand so I could put up for sale....precisely what this business model is suited to.

In Germany?

I got the same, apparently. Would be a breeze of a shoot if I lived there or had visited. Just general cityscapes.

Same here, Germany. Apart from $12 per image, what is amazing is that no expense budget is provided. They know where I live (mentioned in my profile) and that it would take at least one-hour flight or 5-hour drive, the cost of transportation alone would be multiple times the $50 fee. So why sending this brief at all to people like me?

On the good side, they appear to accept one's archive photos if they match the brief, so no need to travel. But chances that I have pictures from that location which weren't published elsewhere are slim.

Does anybody know whether rejecting the offer affects your points compared to, say, ignoring it until its expiry?

Was it Hannover?

100 = $500

(you could have just used the search function)

Are any of these predictions based on numerical analysis?

Or are they just gut-feeling guesses?

They are wishful thinking. I predict the poll results will look exactly like they look today.

96
Your search skills are obviously not very advanced... There are already several recent threads about 500px distributor sales.

The 6th "most downloaded" item has 0 downloads.

Its amazing but I used to submit to around 17 agencies and now I am down to 5.  I just wonder where microstock is going?

Yes, me too and now only 5 (2 micros, 3 midstock), seems to be working ok for me although midstock sales are fewer than micros but usually larger payouts.

Which agencies do you consider midstock?
