We do, sad to say.  It's still at the top of my list so I'm not complaining.

no you can't tell the size of the cue at shutterstock, but it is virtually nothing. If you submit pictures they are reviewed by the next day, if not sooner (like within the hour) :)

I think the reason is twofold
Shutterstock takes more images
Shutterstock is working harder at reviewing images .. oh and perhaps one more thing.. shutterstock doesn't have a max upload limit.

Another options -- they're less picky  :)

Just tried it and it's working -- not sure why but I clicked the "yes" button for extended license and that lit up the submit button.  Happy to be back to submitting photos.

I think I saw someone else's note on this topic but I couldn't locate it.  I've uploaded a few photos this weekend but the "submit" button won't activate.  I've entered the info just as always -- is there a new think I need to do?  Anyone else having this problem?  I let it go because I figued someone on the site would notice and fix it but as of about 12 hours ago -- nothing's changed.

I agree with "leaf's" comment on the recent photos increase sales and in certain categories it's more apparent.  Beliieve it or not Nature/Flowers.

I've uploaded and had accepted about 125 photo (all in Jan and Feb) and have about $20 in sales.  Very few views so the ratio is fine (just the total is low ;) )

I enjoyed reading Mark's interview.  Especially like you including some of his shots.

Congrats!  I think it was you who said goals motivate and you selected one that put you into an elite group.

You both are amazing... I will someday have 1200 shots (2006 goal is 300).  I smile when I sell a new addition right away.  I enjoy instant gradification.  My February totals are in and I sold at least one a day.  Next milestone is $100 in one month.

Glad to hear you're having success there.  I've got about 115 shots accepted but 7 sales.  I've had then online from mid-Jan.  How long have you been collecting revenue?  I'm, by far, more successful at shutterstock with Feb, 2006 my highest grossing month.  I've reached 190 in uploads accepted.  (I'm going for a clean sweep -- a sale every day in Feb -- only two more to go)  ;D

Several weeks ago, when I was upload a large number, the count was 100 but yesterday I noticed the 50.  I thought it was personal because I hadn't had a high enough approved % LOL.

So are you saying we might get paid an extra 5 cents for some of our feb downloads allready?

I thought I saw a Feb start date... I did a quick search and only found people asking when but no "official" reponse.  I could have been dreaming  ???

I'm looking forward to seeing if this is a money-maker for them and us.  They say they've done their homework and clients are willing to pay for the backup.  I think it starts in Feb (my highest month by far) so the timing is great.

Hopefully, folks will publish how this went for them here -- If I remember I will.

I think that whenever you end up finishing them (the month you click on the little blue arrow and fill in the keywords and such), they will count in that month.

I would agree based on today's experience... photos I uploaded in Jan but didn't get around to finishing (blue arrow) had a tick box for the Feb. special offer.  I have not seen any sales but have about 115 shots so far accepted.

Interesting that we share the same experience.  The story I've invented for myself to explain why one site accepts while another rejects is they have a differnt customer so differnt quality and "type" of shots would work better.

BTW - great to see some dpc folks here.  Good idea to have a place where we can talk about the micro sites.  Thanks for the effort.

I'm finding them a bit more "picky" than Shutterstock as far as accepting photos (last year I would have said the opposite) and quite a bit less in sales.  Does that ring true for you>
