For me I will use my personal "equalizer". Both parts can play the game so why should i continue to use their software when they are giving our artist work for free to clients? Don't get me wrong it's only business so Let's play the free game: For Premiere i will use Da vinci resolve (free/better and with big community support) For Photoshop i will use GIMP (free big comunnity support) For lightroom i will use Darktable (Free, recent 1 year community but fascinating choice) For after effects i will use FXhome HitFilm and Blender (HUGE community support) Give it a try and you will save 61,49/month.

Adobe is not just "educating" clients. It will be a question of days to watch adobe free content being sold in other agencies. Agencies do nothing about it and Adobe is now on this boat too
More and more i am convinced that copyright thieves is the new form of art.

Hi Matt, I like adobe but this was tried so many times without success. usually it ends bad to contributors. But i got idea that i like to share: Adobe pays me 1 year salary and i work 1 year for adobe. Like sw engineers work, my work becomes Adobe property. I don't write code but i write with light so during that period i do exclusive whatever footage/images adobe wants and company can sell/give it away to clients. It could be an alternative, no? regards

i am sorry for your losses.
This can happen to anyone of us but i think it usually happens more when you accept to put your work in agencies that do subscriptions. Is this the case? If yes you see it is very difficult to know who is when buyers can download whatever they want. there is no actual control for what i understand.
This probably take you time but if this thief withdraw some sales maybe they could help you track it, no? I mean if this idiot get sales it must link to a payoneer/paypal/skrill account which usually means that he/she have to put real data bank account at some point.
i don't know about DT but my guess is SS will never reply to you. Probably adobe could help you a little more.
btw nice portfolio! best regards.

I don't really consider that much value in this poll. For instance i kind doubt of SS is in 2nd place right now. For what i read on forums and what i watched in youtube videos reports. The gains and rank or those ytube guys is roughly middle tier or bellow that. Plus this poll can be manipulated, right? Perhaps a fanatic SS lover can easily do some email accounts and than vote, vote and vote again earnings that don't really exist. But i share same view in terms of having video / photos poll. this could could be handful

Funny. i am really out of the survey on this one. my uploads are less than half regarding 2019. The way i see it: more contributors join during pandemic. old contributors are doing less uploads.

hi, thks spacestockf, motion and sean for explaining it. About tbsquid and selling 3d models does it wort it? Selling stock footage it is already a headache to me so I never tried to sell my models. i always though it was a little bit of wasting time. probably i'm wrong.

i think that you must own the copyright of all elements you use in your renders (3d models and textures). Maybe there are websites that allow you to use the textures for microstock, but i'm not sure about this. Personally i use only textures created by me (procedurally or from my shots). If you use C4D i think that's fine to use the texture library that come with the software.
Can you provide the law where that is written? i am kind of curious. The way you put it, it seems that people cannot even take a shoot of an ikea chair (which have design) or any other object in the world. I don't see people in movies own the copyright of all objects like sofas tv and so on that they buy for the film clip shoot. And i see a LOT of this objects being used in microstock clips. Furthermore I can advance that there is no such thing in EU law that i am aware of it.

Hi, I use c4d, blender for 3d works but sometimes i combine with meshroom for some photogrammetry. Always render in png to finalize in AE/Premiere. For 360VR projects too. Normally i use standard renderer. sometimes i use octane or redshift but it depends of the work.
my machine: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X, 128GB ram, nvidia quadro m4000, Motherboard MSI TRX40 PRO 10G

Hi! I use native always. Normally render in 8K. Sometimes it takes 3 to 4 days to render 15-20sec. I tried upscale but image seems a little fuzzy specially when projected. I don't know if this works for you but last year i made this workaround: I had a 2d/3d project with 20K size for an Arena/stadium show. I split screen in 5 4k sides (kind of inverted cube frontal perspective) and render. Afterwards i stitch it one by one in premiere and render final. quality was 4:4:4 and it was faster.

Josephine you may think that 10 cents its huge for you but probably if you receive just 1 cent your argument was pretty diferent. I know a lot about poor countries since i lived in Guinea during colera in 2014 which is one of the poorest countries in the world. I do think your behaviour among other colleages here who are trying to struggle in such hard times does not justify your needs.
Now the ironic part: i invest time and money of my own to shoot jungle villages and even support them by buying a solar pannel to a clinic in Sarabanka (jungle village between Senegal and Guinea) where the mortality rate of mothers that give birth is roughly 80%. I spent more than 8000 and I was hopping to repeat the experience by selling some footage/shots but with 10 cents would take years and years. In this sense i am kind of glad that i shift/quit SS some years ago and i bet in other agencies too.
Probably, because i sell in other places with better revenue i will repeat the experience and help other villages too. Maybe if you sell in other places than SS you can help you but also others around you. Don't you think? ;-)

I think he means big thinkers. i can point some names towards that thinking but you actually have to read a lot. Probably you are more a visual person like i am. To save you time maybe you read the new book from Slavoj Zizek called "Pandemic! : COVID-19 Shakes the World" where he talks about global barbarism or Yanis Varoufakis with "And the Weak Suffer What They Must?: Europe's Crisis and America's Economic Future".
you can also follow both this guys in youtube. zizek have its own channel and varoufakis appear in Dim25 channel.

What is the final goal of the protest? How realistic are all these energy and time consuming actions?
How realistic are you with your life Josephine? What is the final goal of your comments? :-)

What i have to say about this moves....Let me see...
1) In a way it seems a nasty tactic to make us think twice before you push the button disable. 2) On the other hand it seems a desperate move from them to control us.
If i may, I am an enthusiast of Foucault's philosophies: "Power can be found everywhere, causing actions that sometimes are in the field of law or in the field of truth. Power must be understood as a floating relationship, not the privilege of one institution or person, while knowledge is found in a relationship of form and content"
So how SS is treating us? bad or good? They are concerned and want to control us. we got the power of our work, to leave and choose better relationships. I think for those who can't quit right now they should at least start panning for new relationships.

What agency do you recommend for a purchase of a single image or just a couple of images? Good buyer experience + fair share for a photographer...
I don't have experience as a buyer.
You cannot buy just 1 image in SS or adobe. i recommend Pond5 for that. Thats the only one i use to buy photos. all the best

So far I am better off with the new price structure of SS, in spite of many 10 to 17 cent sales.
Why should I boycot SS or even close my account? Why not accepting the 10 cent sales? I do, and I dont care what will happen next year, because nobody can forsee the future.
what can i say Josephine... there's always one , right?I am affraid to say that you will never get my 10cents. I wish you all the best for you and 10 cents sales with a happy new year too! :-) regards

Huh? Uncle pete I did not find illegal. never said that. Its not a "pyramid scheme" or whatever evolving criminal scam. its just bad business as i said before. it's business and it is very legal. SS is vertical with pyramid structure in terms of legal company, rewarding system, etc.
I like straight business. 50% or 60% for my work. no structure reward scheme/structure in whatever shape we have choice to leave. i did that. 10 years ago. still selling with my fair cut.
but if i may i joke here....i will leave the door open to horizontal kind of business since last news of angry ss contributors point to that street road... eheheh
all the best. Leave ss.

i am sry sean. it is. cleary you dont know how to draw shapes with numbers. :-)
I can draw a triangle and fill it in with contributors' usernames. That doesn't make it a "pyramid scheme".
eheheh. sry for confusion. i meant pyramid shape business. Anyway try to use level and percentages to draw what is top and what is base. How manny will achieve top? Maybe what im trying to tell here you may find in Freakonomics book. A little bit can be explained with Maslow's hierarchy and with Porter's diamond. But if you have different perpective please let me know your arguments or where i can read some background of your point of view. looking for it! :-)

Hi, If you design a shape in SS earning Schedule based on 6 levels and a different % scheme i think you will find the pyramid shape. But Definitely it will not be the traditional "pyramid scheme" scam but rather something that was thought since Pitgoras and applied by SS to earn more
That isn't a "pyramid scheme", traditional or otherwise.
