Had a sale netting 12.5 Euros in 2010 back in February. Portfolio now up to 1659 images. Easy upload. Large commissions are nice when they do come. No harm for me to stay there since I plan to remain independent for quite some time. I am now on 17 sites and would rank MP in the top 7 or 8 performers for myself ... This post might just be an insight into the future!
My speculation is that it will be Shutterstock who ultimately takes over 123rf. They did after all update 123rf and the BigStock interfaces on the same day ... "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" -Mark http://markwpayne.wordpress.com

I can't tell where if anywhere my StockXpert customers went.
I had several BMEs in March from sites with between 250-1500 images on them. I had over 500 images on StockXpert before it shut down ... -Mark http://markwpayne.wordpress.com

Yeah, I'd assume people don't use all their possible downloads. Regardless, they probably still save money with the subs.
This is the very reason that I believe that the subscription model still exists in its present state. Its Win-Win for the buyers and the agency ... -Mark

All, I would find it most interesting data, for those that don't mind sharing, to find out what the highest number of downloads everyone has had in a single day on Shutterstock and whether or not this particular day happened to be their Best Day Ever(BDE). Let's exclude everyone's first two months on SS ... Here was mine: 19 Total Downloads including 1 on Demand. No ELs. Not a BDE - 900 images March 2010

The majority of my sales are still from outside of the U.S. on Shutterstock. Recent payouts in the last year were as high as 75% outside of the United States although my most recent payout was around 54% outside of the US. This was on a portfolio of just over 900 images. -Mark http://markwpayne.wordpress.com

I think SS business model can be compared to the concept of an "all you can eat buffet" concept with a few exceptions. With the buffet concept the most money is made on all of the people that pay the fee and DO NOT go back for a second trip to fill their plates ... However ... if one day that were to change due to a football or other sports team practice center opened next door and all of the football players came every day to fill their plates multiple times each day in mass numbers ... the business would likely have to rethink their strategy due to the change in their business landscape. If SS had all of its subscription users "fill their plates" everyday the model would not likely be profitable if this were the case over a significant amount of time. -Mark http://markwpayne.wordpress.com

Sad to see that the old old statistics page is now gone. How are we supposed to figure out what sold when for how much? Please return the old page or put in something new that supplies that information.
I have had some FTP problems since the change, but the last few batches seem to have worked ok, so hopefully that is fixed.

I think I know the page your looking for is ... Under "Download" ... where I wasn't looking before as I was thinking that was for things that I downloaded ... Once there you select your month in the pulldown menu. It took me forever to find it as I wanted to know what individual image sold. I hope this helps. -Mark

Today my 900th SS image was approved. It took a little over 6 weeks to reach my next step of 100 more images approved at SS. This was a little slower than my prior 100 approvals. Things are kicking for me at SS this month despite a bit of a slower upload pace. -Mark http://markwpayne.wordpress.com

We are still staying niche focused and do not accept photos requiring a model release since there aren't any other sites that focus on non-people related photography. We think that separates us a little bit from the other guys.
While I do have model released photos ... I think you have found an excellent niche and way to distinguish your site from the others out there. My wife and I are both new members and are very happy with both the site itself, your business model (higher commissions) and the sales activity that we've both experienced and witnessed so far. Please please keep up the good work. -Mark

My image is the Seattle Skyline with Mt. Rainier and the Space Needle. I do realize this is a popular vantage point but the image is definitely mine as the haze and slivers of buildings match up precisely ...
I am positive it is yours (here is unobstructed view of their picture https://a248.e.akamai.net/si.lscdn.net/system/uploads/7afd0ce8-acfa-e650-824f-7b5e0e92be55/autoscale-original.jpg), but not sure which copy (it seems you have 2 of them on at least one big site)

Today I found my very first tear sheet ! I randomly clicked on an advertisement for "Seattle 1-Day coupons" for a link on Facebook which I thought would be a cool link to ad to a Facebook group that I had recently formed. The link later asked me to click on a city. I then clicked on Seattle. I was brought to the following page. https://livingsocial.com/deals/people/2114568/invites/new?skippable=trueMy image is the Seattle Skyline with Mt. Rainier and the Space Needle.
