I got my bonus and I was like WOW...thank you! I appreciate the fact that once again Adobe treats their stock contributors well and did this. I appreciate it so much!

I got mine today...about $830. I am very happy. Thanks, Mat!

Dreamstime.com / Request for Exclusive rights
« on: April 25, 2023, 12:01 »
I got a request for the sale of an image for exclusive rights. It is SR-EL and according to the table, I guess I would keep 60% of it. I have had requests to buy one before, but they were images selling well at other agencies. This image has sold a few times, but others in the grouping sell better. What amount is normal/reasonable to set the same price at? Thank you!

Under the dashboard my lifetime is still the count from when I began. Hope that helps!

I mad level two yesterday but that was a day later than last year.

I like to view where an image is being used if it sells often or for a large amount. Often, the results will help me with future pictures I take. For example, if I sell a picture of a building and it is used over and over again to people using it for pressure washing, then I take more building or pressure washing pictures. That example hasn't happened but you get the idea...

7
I have found that I get better results right-clicking on the image and search with google lens and then from there click on Find Image Source. Hope that helps!

8
None this month but last month was great - several in the $20 range and one for $80+ and these are just pictures no video

9
So what are the lower levels going to per month? Or are they being eliminated?

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Equipment you use

Canon r5 and r6 for my portrait business and RP that I carry around for stock images on the fly.

Thanks, @MatHayward and I must say that Photoshop CC is SOOOO much better than the older versions. There is so much you can do now easily to images and well worth upgrading...even if paying.

I saw it! I tried clicking on it and it gave me an error message - a Server error

General Stock Discussion / Re: New Mirrorless Camera
« on: September 29, 2021, 07:32 »
I tested the Canon R and RP. Did not love either but the R5 has been amazing! It is always so sharp and the eye focus is the best feature. The RP has that feature too but I found the menu and other options hard to get to/work with.

14
That was such a nice surprise today. Thank you!

I had 39 the first time and 55 the second time so I am happy for those numbers :)

16
I have an R5 but I have not used it for video yet. I need to find a good monopod or tripod for that. I just use it for portraits. I love it though!

General Stock Discussion / Re: Incorporating your stock business
« on: February 22, 2021, 20:56 »
I have a separate bank account, paypal and credit card for my business. I keep everything separate. My accountant does my business taxes first and then later I do my personal ones with that information and my spouse's data. I have been an LLC for a long time...over 10 years. I originally did it not only to keep things separate but for liability's sake. I am incorporated in my home state and I would suggest doing that. I incorporated with an attorney's help. I do have to pay a filing fee every year for this.

Mine is an LLC as I am a portrait photographer and this is just a side gig so I just incorporate this income into my shopping cart system and it is categorized by stock and per agency each month.  I pay taxes on it just as I do the other income.

I just reached level 4 for Shutterstock but January was the best month I have ever had with Adobe. A great month makes me want to shoot more content.

So my January downloads are up 81% over last January (I have added to my portfolio) but my sales are only up 6% from last January :(
