Yes, I think they got backlash in the form of tons of people closing their accounts. They change their tune when it hits them in their pockets.

Haven't been aware about that particular ToS change but nothing surprises me anymore. We seem to be living in some weird mix of Brave New World and 1984. I can safely say we're outpacing Black Mirror at this point. Most people don't seem to notice which is another proof that the boiling frog syndrome is real

I noticed months ago, said so here, and got laughed at, called names, told to get psychiatric help by someone, and the worst horror, accused of being a Trump/QAnon supporter. Which is a total joke.

Some people don�t want to hear the truth or believe that our world is on the way to dystopia. That�s ok. Sometimes I wish I didn�t know what I know, either. And I certainly hope those who know more than I are wrong. I will be happy to be wrong.

Funny thing is, it�s all there if you look in the right places, which is NOT mainstream media. But they�d rather laugh and make fun, than actually educate themselves.

Here�s a good example. Dr. Peter McCullough was just suspended from twitter for giving �misinformation� about rona. Top cardiologist in TX, tons of published papers, etc. Been pushing early treatments since early days of rona, trying to save people. But that Goes against the narrative. Boom. Deplatformed. I was booted out of twitter for talking about quackzine shet  ting. Even tho it�s right there in the pfizzzzer docs they tried to hide for 75 years, until they were taken to court and ordered to release them. No wonder they wanted all that info hidden.

I am not claiming the Ai copies any specific image. I claim that the AI creates images on a variety of existing images and I claim that the AI has to store what it learned somewhere. We store information in our brain, computers typically use databases. Without a database or some other data storage the AI can learn nothing. So the question remains what exactly is stored in this data storage, what does the AI actually learn? Clearly it does not learn what a naval battle is. It only learns how images with that description or that keyword look like and it has to store this information somewhere. So it has to store for hundreds of thousands keywords how the images with those keywords look like. How else would it be able to create images when the user enters those keywords?

You seem to think that this is some kind of magic. I believe it is technology.

lI read a little about DALL-E and midjourney today. I thought it was software that you buy, but no it�s a subscription-based site. It sounds like it would be fun to play around with. I just don�t think they have any copyright issues ironed out yet. Because it is learning and storing images found on the internet using keywords.

Tomorrow I will go look at some actual uploaded images (on adobe?) to see the quality. As a person involved in creative work my whole career, this is very intriguing. As mentioned in one of the posts above, I see it as a tool to generate creative ideas, more than actually creating images to submit to microstock. At this point anyway. I�m sure the process will be refined and image quality will improve in the future. Exciting stuff, wish I weren�t at the tail end of my career.

Thank you for all the answers. I have a better idea of how it works. So the software you buy already has �learned� and is based on images from the internet programmed in.

Sounds promising, something fun to play with, and you might get a good image out of it. The watermark copyright issues are concerning, and some of the images posted here so far aren�t good. The desk with coffee cup, apple, etc. are bad. I�ll go have a look to see other examples.

The reason: I have used some public domain images and created videos from them.
AS says that is against their terms of use.
I'm not even allowed to use my spouse's pictures, only my own.

I have permission to create a new account for uploading my own designs.
And I have already done that.

I don�t think that would be the reason. I haven�t uploaded for a couple of years, but I still have an account there, and I still sell images.

Tell us what Adobe said and we might be able to help. There is always a reason why accounts get closed. People complain it got closed for no reason, but upon further digging, it comes out that they violated something in the Terms. Maybe even not on purpose. Sometimes there is a lot of suspicious activity on the account in the form of a lot of bogus credit cards being used. Sometimes people buy their own images. And so on.

Be glad that AS only rejects your media.
AS deleted my portfolio after 3 years for no apparent reason and they do not respond to my email questions.
THAT is annoying.

Yes, I suspect companies do this quite frequently. My car insurance bill is most always the same amount, unless I pass a milestone where it actually goes down. This month, it�s about 50 cents different, more than usual.

Insurance company or microstock, all they have to do is short everyone cents, multiplied by how many insured or photographers, and they make themselves a fast little chunk of change. And they figure no ones gonna gripe about a few cents here and there. 😡

I�ve inquired about it before (insurance), and was told it�s just �adjustments�. Right.

Images that are best from photography perspective are not necessarily highest sellers.  This is my image with highest # of downloads on AS - 131



Also nothing special  and there are better images of this place, but for some reason this one picked up.  If you search for "santa catalina arch antigua guatemala" there will be 5 pages of results, but this one is second on first page & getting couple of downloads every week which keeps it high on the list

It has great style, almost painterly. I see why it�s popular. Good job!

I don�t see it replacing graphic designers just yet. But it would be a great tool for ideation. Pretty cool.
