You can split hairs all you want. This was posted by the same racist: (there, I put it in quotes so all you hair-splitters would be happy): Add Pakistan and India to the restricted list for new users before they can collect earnings.

Newbie Discussion / Re: Can I use my friend's paypal account in microstock sites?« on: November 06, 2020, 13:16 »I don't have a paypal account and it's not possible to make one from my country, so I was wondering if I could use my friend's paypal who lives in Europe to withdraw money from microstock sites. I'm just about to get started and I'm confused as what to do about the account setting for money. Please, help me out here! Youd be better off using one of the other methods for payment. Even though your intent is benign, when you start mixing and matching accounts, you are asking for trouble. It might be construed as some sort of fraud. Maybe if you contact an agency and explain what you are doing, they might be ok with it. 154

Why do you always jump on the denigrating others bandwagon? Its really a habit with you and a couple of others here. Since you quoted Uncle Pete and me when you said it, theres a 50% chance you were talking about me. Here in the US weve had four years of a loud-mouthed, disgusting bully who calls himself president. This election, right now, is foremost on our minds. Right now Biden is winning the electoral college, and spoiled little baby bully that he is, Trumps holding up the counts because hes a sore loser. I suspect thats why Martha is bringing the conversation around to politics. 155

Looks like at least 3 other peoples world consider your remark racist. 😉😃 But if you think racist is the wrong word, (its not, it can be used where there is ethnic discrimination, too), there are many more I could call you that would apply equally as well. 156

They will get income if people download the free images, use them to create new images, then sell them on Adobe. 😂 157

If I submitted those they would be rejected for being out of focus. Before I suspended my SS account I came to the conclusion that SS had gone to war with their contributors and yet this slips through. That was my point. When I was submitting, even when I would submit food shots with shallow DOFs they would get rejected for out of focus. SS has to either be a) paying these people to create huge bogus portfolios to beef up their site totals and BS their shareholders, or b) just giving special treatment to some people, not really caring what they submit. Either way, its garbage. 159

How do those even get approved? Apparently they dont have out of focus rejections anymore. What a bunch of garbage. Im nippon freelancer journalist who loved to travelling around the world. in blurryness i found peace and the truth perspective.thanks for supports. Peace and truth ... and money off other peoples back! ... in blurriness? LOL
106 pages of that garbage. 160
Adobe Stock / Re: Introducing the free collection from Adobe Stock« on: October 21, 2020, 15:23 »I wonder how many people will take these free images the reupload them to this and other sites as their own to try to sell them. Since none of the agencies seem to have any controls/checks, and none seem to do anything about it even when the stolen images are pointed out, maybe we all should just take a if you cant beat em, join em attitude and start beefing up our ports with stolen images. The agencies dont seem to care....a sale is a sale is a sale...no matter where it comes from. 161
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock deleted my account!« on: October 21, 2020, 12:38 »
Im sure they have a reason for deleting it. Maybe not a legitimate reason, but in their minds it is. You should know by now what scumbags they are, so Im not really surprised to hear it. Did you do anything to your account during the boycott? Deactivate your account, then reactivate? Frankly, I think all of the microstock sites are looking for reasons to dump a lot of contributors. Culling the herd.

Accounts dont usually get blocked for no good reason. It usually ends up being user error. Glad you got it worked out.

Yep, they all had a plan in place. More $$ for them, less for us.
The only good news in the last couple of days is that us retirees are getting a 1.3% 😯 raise in December from SS. Not much, but at least they arent taking anything away (yet). Not enough to make up for the lost microstock revenue this year, though. 168
Adobe Stock / Re: Introducing the free collection from Adobe Stock« on: October 16, 2020, 09:38 »
Exactly my thought, you beat me to it. Microstock started out as amateurs and semi-amateurs providing images to fill the gap, as has been mentioned. People and small companies who couldnt afford hundreds of dollars for one image used them. The images were not big budgeted, but the royalties werent big either. And the images Jo Ann posts look very much like the images that most of us submitted back in 2004, when we were starting out. Yes, full circle. 169

DT has done their fair share of screwing contributors over the years, too. They all work the same way. 171
General Stock Discussion / Re: Improper use of photo by buyer« on: October 14, 2020, 17:46 »Have you ever had an editorial photo sell that was used for nefarious purposes/was likely to be used for such by their search or to imply something wrong that was not in any way implied by the photograph or in your keywords? If the photo is used in a way that goes against the terms of the license, you can complain. For instance, if the license terms says that photos cannot be used for porn and you find it is, you can complain. If the use isnt spelled out in the terms as being disallowed, you dont have much say in how the photo gets used. 172

I drove mine down Monday and put it in the secure box as well. I wasnt going to trust the mail either. The board of elections is on it, they had an area of the parking lot coned off so people can conveniently drive thru and put their ballot in a box. Unfortunately I didnt see it until I drove out, so I had to get out of the car and drop it in, but thats ok. Its done. 173
