General Stock Discussion / Re: This month's sales
« on: April 09, 2022, 10:56 »
I was very excited to start uploading my art to stock website, reading this thread was very depressing lol.
Did I arrive too late to the party?

Unfortunately, 15+ years too late. But you can still make money if you have a good port and good, sellable images/illustrations. You just have to give it a try. I started in 2004, and once I had a couple hundred images online, I started making money. And my stuff isnt that good. I uploaded to several sites. I havent uploaded for years now, and I only have images at Adobe. I can still cash out every couple of months, but its not retirement income, which is what my plan was. When Sean Locke complains, you know things are bad. 😔

Shoot new world order, transhumanism, central banks, social credit systems, loss of personal property. More bioterrorism. Frankenfood made from soy, disappearance of beef. Plant-based food. Big agriculture.
Excellent ideas Cathy

More ideas. Neuralinks, crypto, space travel.

From Elon Musk. The billionaire who also spoke about space travel, colonies on Mars, crypto, artificial intelligence and Covid-19 vaccines said Neuralink is trying to figure out if it can use its chips to get monkeys to play mind Pong with each other.
That would be pretty cool, said Musk, who is CEO of Neuralink, in addition to SpaceX and Tesla.

Very good ideas!

Maybe also
People carrying microchips under skin. Hybrid operations. Heterosexual people lobotomized and forced to be gay.

Good ideas!

Yes, great advice, indeed!
In other words, shoot QAnon and other conspiracy theory topics.  ;D

LOL! Too funny!

Plant-based food.

Y'know, the basis of all life on Earth. Surely people aren't objecting to Plant Based Foods?

As if Id discuss anything with you. LOL. Eat what youd like, Im sure you know all about it.

Global central banks are the problem, not the Russian people.
Ban the banks and implement crypto payments

Crypto payments arent safe either.

I was just searching for some illustrations to use for a project. If what I needed was done by a Russian illustrator, Id buy it. Russian illustrators or photographers likely dont want a war any more than US, or other countries do. As it turns out, a couple illustrations I bought were done by a Ukrainian artist. Thats cool!

After corona crisis and now Ukraine crisis i guess we probably will face an economic crisis next.
An economic crisis probably will affect sales a lot.

Yep, next up, internet/technology crisis. Financial crisis, to implement central bank and social credit system, like China has.

Cathy, Im concerned you might actually be suffering from a mental illness. Please try and get help. Hope you get better soon.

Thank you for your concern, even though its backhanded. Just wait. Youll see. 😂 Did you bother to look up the WEF? The Great Reset? Those who live in the UK should understand, its happening there. I dont expect many to come to my defense because no one wants to be called mentally ill. And most WILL think I'm crazy.

Remember the scoffing at #plandemic? Gosh, have you heard much about rona in the past week? It just magically disappeared! Of course you are going to say the vacseens eradicated it. Have you looked at the VAERS data on vacs injuries? No bet not. Have you seen that even the CDC is withholding info and backtracking? Have you seen that pfizzer and mod-er na stocks are dropping and investors are bailing?

rona = out   war = in   But you go ahead and stay blind. 😀

Ill just leave this, just in case some have an open mind. Pay attention to the members, too.

Sales are pretty bottom-of-the-barrel for most, anyway. Not sure this will affect sales any more than past world crisis did. Those who can cover whats happening with the Ukrainian people, refugees, soldiers moving in, etc. might do well.

Eyes should be on the US National Vaccine Pass that was rolled out while we were watching war breakout in the Ukraine. (Read about it in Forbes). You will have no freedoms left, you will be tracked everywhere. Mark me. Or laugh at me, as usual. Or you can research The Great Reset. Dont say you werent warned.

Its happening in Canada. People moving $$ out of banks before their accounts are frozen. PS Dont look for it to be on your msm TV news.

The new compensation model allows contributors to receive a true percentage share from each download, rewarding content creators for producing quality work that is fresh, relevant and currently in demand by our customers.

This sums up SS...by the way, the port is full of stolen images.....

https://www.shutterstock.com/g/Rockkss

Have you reported it to SS or don't they care?

I did...3 years ago.....and they don't care.

I can see why any agency doesn't care, unless they are forced to care as in legislation or massive lawsuits it's more profit for them when the stolen goods are trafficked so real incentive for them plus it would cost them as they need staff to manually deal with it.

Please learn to start your posts after the quote you make the forum look like crap.

I agree with you, but in peoples defense, sometimes quoting just doesnt work right.  I work on an iPad and have trouble with the way quoting works. Sometimes it just doesnt work right.

Quite a few years ago when I started, I didnt see a sale until I had a hundred or so images uploaded. But things are way different today. There are multi-millions of images to compete with. But if you have great, sellable images, it shouldnt take too long. Sorry, theres no definite answer. We are in holidays now, typically its slower for some anyway.

Adobe Stock / Re: Is anyone experiencing late payments from Adobe?

It did used to take just 3-4 days, but the past couple of times I requested, it was taking about 10 days.

Hello everyone, I would like to deactivate my dreamstime account, does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks

I havent been on there for a few years, but when I wanted to bail, you could only deactivate so many certain percent over a period of time. Then they would close your account. But not sure that's still the case. Maybe they will just deactivate the account at once if you contact them.

Same when I did that, I deactivated all I could which I think of mine, was everything, because I had no new uploads. Then I wrote and requested that they close my account. Then I waited and I think it was 90 days before some images stopped appearing in the search. Eventually everything was cleared from the site.

Terms: https://www.dreamstime.com/terms#contributors

"Contributors are required to keep at least seventy (70%) percent of their portfolio online with Dreamstime.com for a period of at least six (6) months. You may disable all files older than six months from the date of review at any time. You will be allowed to disable a total of thirty (30%) percent of your total Media submitted within the past six (6) months. Media that was disabled and then enabled again will be counted as new submissions, no matter of their original upload date."

DT will not pay anything to anyone if you have less than $100 due.

Interesting, so it is still the same. Thats right, I had to keep watching to see when files passed the 6 month mark so I could delete them. What a pain in the a$$ it was. Im sure that was the point.
