In my opinion it's got to do with "On Demand" too

How do you think this is affecting overall sales and downloads?

My downloads also have decreased consistently since they implemented the OD feature, not much boost from new uploads either.

in my opinion by introdusing OD they destroy the inovativation of the site.

Once the customers could download 25 images per day, they ( customers) try to do so downloading images that they don't even want them at the moment just to build a portfolio.

As a conclusion of that (in my opinion) there were alot of downloads for photographers witch even with that tiny fee of some cents  make us some money overall by the end of the month.

The site get earnings by the non downloaded images then and every one was a bit happy i guess.

By OD there is no hurry to download images more than they (customers) want to use.

That's my opinion

General Stock Discussion / Re: amateurs running microstock?
« on: September 06, 2008, 06:26 »
He is pointing to how badly they run microstock industry

1. instead of finding new clients they just compete with each other
2. prices are too low and that makes images look cheap and sales are declining
3. all of this is happening since amateurs are running the business of microstock sites.

 am I close, lobby ?

exacly nice translation

thanx vphoto

- sharply_done,  in your opinion everything is FINE??? !!!!!

General Stock Discussion / amateurs running microstock?
« on: September 05, 2008, 19:59 »
I've been around for some over a year.

and my conclusion is that just amatuers run the business
it's a fast investment for them with way match proffits

THEY THINK...

They do sub reduce prices but nothing hapen...

In my opinion there must be about 500.000 maybe 1.000.000 clients in all microstock sites
which is very few word wide they are just running after  each other instead of making business wider, they have wrong focus in business.

The candy is not that small as you have find -fom pioneers of the industry- in my opinion according to my involvement in this business (more than 20 yrs in creativing) the audience should far more.

And once more they should not mind about amatuers users - clients (that's why smaller sizes exist) they judge our work as "pros" -no way in my opinon to be a reviewer pro in this sites- and they sell our work for nothing

reducing "downloads-sales" in a brand new industry

i'm sure

they are
