i have reject them too  :D

well

as i mention in the first post "stay with macro"

but

if you have spair time try upload to micro staff that you don't mind selling it for 30 cents.

About your question what's up with micro

Micro is like China... extra large production with very low cost "for clients"

It's like working in a fabric compaired to Macro

We are just workers for this guys.

All of us willing to be able to sell only to macros but most doesn't have the  ....

to do that. Since we are not pros many of us, it's a way that we may become one.

If you are productive you can make good money with micro's

Just look at the most succesfull stock photographer "yury arcous" in my opinion he should make about +100 K a month, the concept is "shouting suits"

cheers

since you are Pro

in my opinion if you have a ready large portfolio go for Macro maybe and Midstock

micro will give you money fast but you will sell very cheap....

iStockPhoto.com / statics view/sales whats your average
« on: August 28, 2008, 19:07 »
I nice way (i think) to see how your (and mine) images like to customers

is how mutch (persent %) of views became sales

my hi score ... is 10%

averange about 20%

and for those how don't undestand i mean

if an images have 100 views and 10 sales = 10%

i find it intresting what do you think?

Well...  what's your best and averange?

64
Tom, you don't mention Fotolia.  They are one of my better sellers.

Are you not seeing sales there?  Just curious why they aren't on your list of keepers...

FT is weird for me.  I'll get several downloads in a row and then I'll go weeks with nothing.  I wonder if they change up their search algorithm regularly to keep search results fresh.

weird sales forme 2 at FT

was going steady fow few months then something hapen to search engine i guess (i can see it in views also) and DOWNnloads went DOWN!!!

Was my number 3 goes to number 5 after their changes.

It would be in the re-evaluation group of sites (if continues drop in sales) for me by the end of the year, maybe sooner.

My decision is to get off me sites that doesn't sell, even if i losse some money.

Microstock Monitor / problems with ftp (filezilla) at SS and BS
« on: August 26, 2008, 04:24 »
Hi

Recently i have a problem uploading mulitple images via Filezilla to BS and to SS

At Big Stock

doesn't  support multiple uploads - only one by one - when i try to upload more images

1st)  it uploads only the first one and then i lose the connection

2nd) Upload more than one time the same image????

At Sutter

I have only the second problem....

2nd) Upload more than one time the same image????

Anyone having same problems?

Or

same here

487 rejections of 550 ???

imagine if they mage to go up in sales too

they would reject 549 / 550

PS: average rejection for this images among all sites is 150-200/550!!!!

in my opoinion microstock sites dosen't have good marketing...

following the industry since 16 months

as a graphic artist and afterwards as a photographer (always like to.. be)

i find the industry as a very cheap market for what was offering,

althought they don't have as match clients as (i believe) they could...

in my opinion  there should be about 1 or 2 million clients among all sites

big (5,6,7 or what ever) with that "tiny" price

-My first "contact" was with istock and i find find the price quite cheap-

1 or 2 million clients are very small ....

before they think about prices... and super offers i think they should think

about marketing.

cheers

Off Topic / Re: New toys
« on: August 22, 2008, 19:38 »
After having suffered months with my old PC, I got a new one today.  Not top of the line, but with very good specs, including a huge HD for storing photos.  I haven't installed it yet though, I have to clean my desktop area first

I also got myself another very neat toy: an Asus Eee PC, from which I'm typing right now.  Ok, a 7" screen is tiny, but this thing is so light!

I'm happy.  ;D

Regards,
Adelaide

i wish you to go to 4"
