Yes Luis you can answer with an opinion too.  ;)

What I'm looking for is a hypothetical RF Microstock type image site. Small images 4-10MP size. (that's funny, I think some of those used to be called Medium size?)

But for people who run a site, what price do you charge for that size image license?

The reason for asking is I see one place where the lady charges pretty much $1 for anything or $2 for some special images. At that, I don't know how anyone can consider it anything but a hobby or charity. She does sell CDs for $29 with 500 images. I suppose that's the real market?

I have no interest in selling collections or CDs, just single image licenses, RF, at a flat rate to keep things simple.

So what's a good price to not be price cutting and keep the market value up for everyone. No way any of us can compete with 25 a day subs, but individual sales, there should be a reasonable price level where buyers don't run away and where sellers aren't cutting their own throats.

Flat Rate Pricing for RF, 10MP and down size images.

I'm selling 4 sizes.  I kept it just at 4 sizes to keep things simple.  I don't have a $1.00 size.. perhaps it's important, I dont' know.

http://www.realstockphotos.com/
Small:  450 x 300 px - $2.00
Medium: 1000 x 667 - $5.00
Large: 3000 x 2000 px  - $10.00
Original: 5616 x 3744 px - $15.00

it looks very good, 6MP for 10$ seems ideal, how about the max size for subscriptions?

And because I didn't say, my own site (if I ever get to it and KTools 4) RF,  No Subscriptions! There probably won't be any "original" just 6MP and down.

The smaller sizes allow me to price lower, targeting small print and websites. Back to where Microstock started, not major professional, studio or photo factory production lines. Just some fun shots that are useful. From real cameras not a cell phone!  >:(

I have been toying with one price for all images. I look at the image license, not the size for small functional images. Less complications, do you need this image? Here's what it costs...  ;D
