As a promotional offer to attract eventual prospective buyers and for a short period of time, I am giving free downloads of 10 high resolution images. Limited usages of those free downloads are dictated by the Royalty-Free standard license terms as indicated on my website.

Let me know of this works for you.  I've been giving away freebies (well, only a few) and it doesn't seem to spark any interest.

Thanks for bringing my subject back on top...someone just downloaded all my free images...10 of them. Before that, only two free images were downloaded in my first 80 days online. I have a hard time giving them away, never mind selling them.

However, I do believe that this is more of a patience game then anything else. I think that with any new website, if you don't have big money for marketing, it can take a minimum of 6 months before you get noticed a bit, regardless of how beautiful your site is.  Google still has not fully indexed my site as I still see the number of links increasing everyday. So far Alexa ranking went from 6 millionth to 3 millionth place. I am starting to see more visitors from google searches. By that I mean 4-5 visitors a day instead of 1-2 visitors a day. So it is a waiting game.

Why anyone would devalue their own work in such a way still baffles me. It's really time to say NO TO FREE. On your site or for any stock.

This is instead of paying for advertising. So far in 80 days I gave 12 standard licenses , (I don't give extented licenses), which amount to a maximum of $120.00 worth.  So far, I have three marketing agencies that had to register their names and email addresses in order for them to get those images. They had to go to a process and read my terms before downloading any images. To me this is better advertisement then paying Facebook or Google. I know as I already spent a bundle with both of them with no result. To me, it is a lot cheaper to give a few standard licenses away as the word may spread faster.  But then again, I could be wrong too, I don't know yet....I let you know for sure a few months from now...

I see my images as a value to bargain with like money to buy "attention"... attention to my site.
