I'm undecided which one is the better script: KTools and CMS Stand-alone script

Anyone here who has experienced both?

Did you look at these? https://www.cmsaccount.com/photostore/live_sites/ I worry more about security 1st then the rest. Maybe somebody here is using one of these. I don't like wordpress plugins sites. ktools has been around a long time, stand alone. http://www.ktools.net/photostore/clients/

I'd want to hear from somebody who runs these.

I 've tried cmsaccount a few years ago, and it took me a while to set it up, but I got it working pretty good. Updating it would've been a hassle because I customized a lot of it.

Also, at the time the script was unable to deal with charging VAT, I don't know if they updated it know. Anyway, due to lack of sales I decided to pull the plug.

Wasn't Photostore about $299 a few years ago?  And now it's $49/$79?  Or am I thinking of another one?

The drop of price is that's why I thought of buying at least one of them, both of their full license are now 79$

I decided not to use Wordpress, even though many of my sites are in Wordpress. It's just a hassle come update time. Some plugins and themes becomes buggy.

To be fair, CMS design is good to look at.

I guess I would choose Ktools because they only focus on one software.

I'd say pick the one with the best support or that is upgradeable. My old K-Tools store died because they stopped supporting their old version and there was no way to upgrade to the new version. Most of these solutions seem to have a half life before their creators abandon them for a new version or project and you're stuck trying to plug the leaks.

Woah, thank you for this. This got me thinking.

Yes, I'm using it on my site acrylik.com, but when I buy tested, I did not receive any email containing the download link and not in the customer dashboard. I already asked the guys why, but it takes forever for them to reply.

@    How long have you been using CMS?

From 2016 I am using this CMS photo script.
It is very easy and fun when you get little experience with it.
I really love it.

It's a website plugin with a front end (your website html pages) and a backend for content management (uploading your files and automatically creating search galleries, product pages, category pages etc.) and customer management (an admin page where you can manage customer's accounts, their purchases, statistics and so on).

Makes me want to try Ktools dedicated software, at $79 instead of what it was, that could be tempting.

CMS is able to sell an exclusive image, meaning - it can sell an image one time, then it is removed after a buyer purchased it. I also like the design better than Ktools'.

In Ktools demo, I could not find it, I sent a message asking them for confirmation.

Good point. I don't sell anything exclusive, but on my own, you mean someone could set a much higher price and have exclusive use? Does it have a time limit, or do you mean lifetime exclusive. That's pretty long. Even my RM sales have a date range. It's not like someone can buy an image and be the only ones with the right to use it, forever?

There is another, I'm not using it but I did for tool sales, the free demo worked very well, notifications, inventory and flexibility. I still don't understand if it can handle digital downloads, like photos?  https://www.webasyst.com/store/app/shop/ Too expensive unless it's a fantastic interface and works better than anything else in the world.

And while searching I found this, Open eShop that takes cards, paypal or bitcoin.  https://open-eshop.com/

Just adding some other ideas to the mix.

Yes, I've thinking of that, like selling logos exclusive.

There is time limit found in the Coupons page.

The shop scripts in the links you gave I dont think they can provide much detailed capabilities such as KTools or CMS.

Both are almost exactly the same. Functions, design, etc, how can that be? Same providers? Strange..
