Someone has sold any image in Picfair ?

I have been sending images over a year and I have not had a single sale. In other banks my downloads exceed the 5000... Someone passes it as to my ?

I've sold one, must have been a misclick.

I have forgotten so much about the 1000 pictures I had uploaded there that my browser did not even remember the password.

So, after a password reset, the reply is: No.

If there are never sales... why do you leave your material there?

Not really. 250 pics and 1000+ views. I wonder how many pics you will need to catch a sale? Since you can set the price and they pay 50% (if I'm correct) you can earn a decent amount per sale

The truth is that this is very strange. I have almost 5900 images and it is assumed that 106,905 views... I believe that taketh a decision this week and closed the portfolio. It gives me the feeling that this is going to happen as happened with ImageBrief, that he had to pay for having a portfolio plus ! It sounds to me like deception

It is sad that nobody sell photos in this place. This is the question... those who sell encyclopedias to domicile or hoovers also are usually kind!  ;D

I inquired to them in August 2018 about slow sales (well zero sales then) and they gave me this reply:

Quote
We're just looking at your profile here and it looks like you're already doing many of the things we recommend - your images are well titled, captioned and tagged, you have a good number of images on your profile and they're well priced.

We're still a young company but we're growing fast and have just expanding our sales team and brought in a Head of Marketing. Ian's role is specifically tasked with growing the number of buyers we have coming to the site and increasing sales for photographers across the board.

We'll continue to try and share the work of as many photographers as we can across all our networks and social media platforms, and we encourage all photographers to do they same across their networks.

We're pushing hard for increased sales in the next quarter, and we're just about to release a couple of exciting new features that we hope will further increase sales.

Going well then.....with your one sale from that "hard push".

Whenever I hear an agency say "Exciting New Feature", it translates to me as: We've *removed coarse language* up whatever we were doing and trying something new so stick with us for a little while longer.

i have zero sales too for 2 years now .i tweeted my portfolio many times on twitter  and i got some likes and last night a follow from picfair lol but unfo its been dead for me .and i didnt even  bother to check it for few months now.last night was the only time i uploaded something after a while .
The only good thing about picfair and mostphotos is the no rejection thing yes it can be a bad thing some times when the site is flooded with crappy photos, but its easy to upload set the price and hit the button and wait.you dont need to wait for aproval or rejections for silly tecnical problems. The site is just another solution to storage somewhere your photos and sell them.
Also like in FAA you dont have to sell your pictures for pennies like in stock sites.so that is  a must regardless of low or zero sales

Because zero sales of files of $XXX is better than 1000 sales of $X.

Well, I stay with them from four years. Just few sales but good and fair price.
I've also just sold an high price adv license, so...

They are alive for me and, regardless very low number of sale, their value is higher than most middle and low earners agency.

Also, after the alamy and pond5 cut, they are the only together with eyeem giving 50% to contributors so they should be supported and incouraged from my point of view.

i was just saying that is another option and if you get a sale you wont get 25 p or 38 p or whatever p lol
the no rejections and the set up your own price that may attract some users out there.like i said i dont have sales on picfair so i dont care anymore.

It's about how many pictures, I'm doing this wrong? 50% of nothing is 50% of still nothing.

and  1000 sales for 25c is better than one for $50. Its $$$s in the bank that count  not rpd, percentage payout or niceness of the agency.

Do travel images sell on PicFair? I just subscribed with them and uploaded some 100 images.

You only have to look at Picfair's accounts on the companies house site to see that they are a micro-business i.e. very small so you are unlikely to get huge sales with them

Dear Edward Olive,

We're writing to inform you that from today, Picfair’s FTP service will only be available to Picfair Plus subscribers.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Maintaining Picfair’s FTP service requires considerable technical resource and cost, and we have taken the decision that we can no longer offer the service for free.

You are of course welcome to continue uploading through Picfair’s web uploader.

Regards,
Team Picfair

I thought Picfair's whole principle was trying to be fair to contributors. That's why you are called Picfair from picture and fair.

I know of no other stock agency that tries to charge contributors money just to use an ftp upload.

It sounds like a really bad way to develop contributor trust.

You will have seen how shutterstock shot themselves in the foot this month ruining their online reputation by doing what they did to contributors.

I have never had to pay just to be in an agency. Surely you can make enough money out of commissions without trying to charge me fees too?

How much does it actually cost you for me to upload to an ftp instead of an online web server

You can get file zilla for free. It works fine. I use it every day.

Very disappointing behaviour by you.

And this comes after you tried to make me invest in your company last year by giving you money too.

Poor you... what are you complaining about actually? Crying that Picfair is giving you 100% commission, they take 0% since COVID, and you call that unfair? Normally they take 20% and 80% for the free plan, and you compare them to Shutterstock?

I never had sales with them (and I actually only had 1800 images there), but since 21st of december 2020, I made 5 sales. Since they give great comission and I do see sales with such a low number of images, I am giving them a try and subscribed for 1 year. Will let you know of the results, but I don't see Picfair as an agency. More like a personnal website and they promote your images on their site as a plus.

We'll see how it goes, I will upload my full portfolio and see if I get better results, I don't hope for much but I like giving a fair agency a chance.

Have at least I think 200 images here. They charge a price for uploading anything more. Which I haven't. I suspect there doing this just to make money off of people who want to upload more to their portfolio.
