Is everyone else seeing the new "Filters" button at the top left of image search pages? The default seems to be "newest," meaning that unless buyers notice the new button and think to click it for more options, they'll never see the most popular images.
I'm expecting an even faster decline in sales thanks to this new "improvement."

Agree! The default page should be 'Relevant' or 'Popular' not 'New'. No wonder why our sales are low :(

I *think* the default is whatever you had it last set on. If you chose popular on last visit, it should remain on popular until you change. That's the way it's been for me for a month or so.
-
When I checked mine is on Popular by default ... and it is always in another language but that is besides the point.
-
I did a few incognito searches and they all default to Popular.
-
The default view does not depend of the site itself, it is written in a cookie according to the last choice you have made.
Same thing for the language choice.
If you have problems delete the cookie(s) and restart your browser.
The next time you will use the site a new cookie will be written with your new settings.
(In theory :D )

Well, I'm glad to hear it depends on your history. But still not pleased that SS is asking buyers to make an additional effort to click and scroll instead of just having the menu of choices visible.
.....and.....now I see a whole long string of search choices instead of one button. They must be testing something.

You're right and the filter is nothing more than search filters. Please can't someone find something else to bitch about besides things that aren't actually a problem?

Im set to popular always and what I see is NOT!! my Most Popular and never has been. i gave up asking them why.

Define what SS is calling popular? What does popular mean according to their search? I'd like to know what it's supposed to be.
