Title: 1041-S form help in UK
Post by: Phadrea on March 25, 2013, 09:17
I posted this on the Shutterstock forums last week with no response so hopefully someone here might help.

I have never had one of these 1041-S forms before and I am not sure what I am to do with it or if any money is being held. All it states is net and gross income which are the same figure.

You shouldn't be having any tax withheld because you are in a zero tax treaty country (provided you gave them the right forms when they were asking for them).

I couldn't work out what those forms they sent through the post were about, and as I am not having tax withheld I just ignored them.

I couldn't work out what the figures corresponded too either.

I just saw this.

The main question is who is asking you to complete a 1041S? That form is for trusts held in the US. Are you the trustee of an US based trust?
