Average 4 downloads for each image. i.e approx rpi = $1.32 per year

wow, almost 20 million images, and 200 million dls? that means the average is 10 dls per image. That is higher than I would have imagined, especially with 20 million images

Hmmm. I was quite surprised that the most downloaded image in Canada ... is of an African elephant. Really? I had no idea that elephants were so big in Canada, if you'll pardon the pun.

probably 4 - 5 times that on SS. Those kind of numbers spread across a relatively small number of high performers will really skew the average - much like the way average life expectancy is supposed to be much higer than it was 50 years ago - mainly due to improved infant mortality where there were lots of deaths at 0 years.

yea yea, I get how the math works, but I was taking that into account. I know there are some insanely high performers, but there are also buckets and buckets of low performers. I know the median won't be anywhere near 10, but I'm still surprised the average is.
