Just submitted some shots to Shutterstock and see that they have announced their contest for the 1,000,000th image. The photographer who submits the lucky shot get a iPod hifi...

Better than nothing I suppose but I not really up to the standard set by IS. I tried this iPod hifi and wasn't particularly impressed by it...but a 30D, now that's worth having.

Well, if you win, think of it this way, that's one less Christmas gift you're going to have to buy.

It should have been something photographic.  If I have the luck to win, I'll trade it for a lens or decent flash.

Anyway, for those like me who can't find their feet at the ends of their legs, here's the URL for the official announcement:  http://submit.shutterstock.com/million_contest.mhtml.

I just hope your new stuff gets you loads of downloads coz you're going to have to buy that MP3 player yourself! ;) I think I am right in that you only win the IPod Hi-fi. If only it was the Bose system instead...at least that sounds good  :P

I sent an email to Shutterstock asking for clarification. Got a response today. Yep, just the iPod Hi-Fi and no iPod so if you don't own one you won't be able to use the prize. How weak.

well you could always sell it and buy some memory cards or something.

Oh of course, or the Christmas gift idea I mentioned... well, gift to someone who has an iPod. Otherwise it's like when you were a kid and you'd get an electronic toy but no batteries for it.  :(
