Haven't had anything reviewed since Friday. Haven't hit a lull like this in a long time.

Yes, for me too.

Images submitted on Friday.
Today, unusually after 5 days, the review of my editorial images:
Entire batch of different images rejected due to allegedly AI-generated images or illustration designations. Both of which are wrong.

Commercial images are still on hold. Something seems to be going very wrong at the moment.

Thanks for the info, this seems to be a general problem.

Same. Going on two days. Never happened before. Very odd.

Same here, no reviews at all in several days. Slow sales too.

No reviews here too. Slow sales here too. Shutterstock seems to be sinking into irrelevance.

No reviews here too, not for images and not for videos... maybe they don't want our stuff anymore for good ;-)

Or they are playing with toys in the attic.

the thin ice! :D

I've already seen everything I needed to see on SS last year.

every single month of 2023 I had fewer number of sales than the same month of 2022.

even if in 2023 on SS I earned more than 2022,in September 2023 I stopped uploading.

because if the total number of sales is lower than the previous year, every month lower copared to previous year,it doesn't matter if you earn more,it's just luck, the number of sales is more important than earnings.

it is the number of sales that must grow, then when the number of sales is high, the money also arrives.

as I already said,I will return to uploading to SS only when I see a clear signal that they are still interested in continuing this business with contributors, such as a change in the royalty structure or starting to accept AI content.

"Sorry you are having a problem with this.

Unfortunately, review times are currently around 7-10 days, which is unusually long. Shutterstock will be working to clear the backlog as quickly as possible and our images should be reviewed shortly.

Apologies for the current delay and thank you for your patience in this matter."

The bots and AI review system is demanding a raise, the computers went on a slowdown strike.

More than I got. I had two different people tell me this is completely normal even though I said it had never taken this long after 18 years of nearly daily uploads.

Shutterstock is still slow on reviews.  :-\

For example, I have a commercial image that was not reviewed after 6 days.

They are currently slower to review than Dreamstime, Adobe Stock, Deposit Photos, and iStock.

Also, I don't like their new platform for loading photos and always switch to Legacy. It doesn't seem possible to copy out keywords before submitting the image.  >:(

They'll probably clear the backlog by just dumping the entire queue to reject (ie data licensing).

Years ago when they had huge review queues they fixed it by bulk rejecting.

Illustrations that I uploaded getting reviewed within 1-2 days, but the videos pending from 7-8 days.

I think video reviews have slowed down because they have recently started accepting vertical videos (in correct resolution, not rotated on their side) and many people (myself included) are submitting our backlog of vertical videos that we already have on other sites.

Last few days they've gone the opposite and "reviews" (whatever that means any more) are near instant.
Had 130 reviewed in literally the time it took me to open and eat a bag of crisps.

That said, they accept anything now as the FB groups show.

Videos still seem to be taking a normal few days.

Beats the 20 days waiting for AS to review.

SS went from 10 days or so to "less time than it takes to eat a packet of crisps" last week.
Now it back to normal - a few days.

AS for me is 2-3 days still for photo and video.

Interesting to note that since SS aquired Pond5, the speed of them reviewing submissions has gone from about 4-5 days to a few hours.

Interesting. I am not seeing any of this super fast "review within a few hours" other people are talking about.
